Hi ladies just popping in because I was offered a great job 3 days a week. It's great except I only have about 4 full days of frozen milk as I've been home with LO now for 5 months. I feed one side and pump the other for the first morning feeding, which is why I even have a stash. Any thoughts on how to get started? I will be able to pump at work probably only once though! TIA
Hi, pumping moms! I'm wanting to spend a day with my husband for our anniversary next weekend, and if I time it right, she should only need to eat twice while we're out. I don't pump at all, so I'm not sure how to best schedule it. Should I pump once the day before, and then once the morning of? She eats about every 3 hours, so should I wait like an hour and a half after she eats to pump? I don't want to mess with my supply, and I don't have a freezer stash at all. :-S

@edoliesmom I pump during the week at work so I'm not an Ep but I would start pumping sooner as you don't know how your body will react to the pump or how much you'll get. Maybe a week before? The best time to pump would be in the morning.... So wait 1-1.5 hours after she eats first thing in the morning, at least that is what I would do! Good luck and enjoy!!!
Edit to add you might also want to consider giving her a bottle before your big date if she hasn't taken one before.
ypu can always pump after she eats for 20 min, and combine milk into a couple bottles (refrigerated milk is good for 4 days) and pump when she goes to bed @edolan7

Wrong tag @KatieGummow! But thank you! Why 20 minutes after she eats? Pumping after she goes to bed is not an option because she's so hard to get down that I usually go to bed shortly after!

Fudge! I deleted that one twice to try to get the right one! I meant pump for 20 minutes right after she eats! That's so exciting that you two are going to get away for a bit!!

I knew what you meant, but I was wondering what the purpose and/or benefit to pumping 20 minutes after she eats is. I'm pretty clueless. And yeah, I'm super excited!!! We haven't seen a movie in months. I can't wait! I'm really hoping she'll do well with my MIL.
