Yeah Raylin is still "fuzzy" she is fuzzy enough that my best friend calls her Peaches. I think its cute. I think it depends on how hairy you and DH are. All of my kids have been hairy but DH is like a chimp!! My kids right after birth could have passed for small monkey's!!!!!

Neither one of us are "hairy" so I was really surprised when she was born and was so fuzzy. I think it's cute!
Random question and I don't feel like starting a thread. When can I start introducing a sippy or straw cup? Kahlan is almost 4 months and is just awful with bottles. Luckily it hasn't been an issue yet but may be when I start a chem lab this summer. Advice, oh magical catch all thread?

I introduced a sippy with DS1 around 10-11 months, I think. I can't imagine that a baby could handle that now--it's a different motion than sucking and they need to be able to hold the cup on their own.

I read something about just holding it for them for a bit until they catch on. I was hoping to do it around 4 or 5 months or so

I think my son was around a year before I even thought about a dippy cup.
Edit. Sippy. Auto correct wants it to be a dippy cup though. Lol
I don't remember whether I mentioned that LO is getting a helmet, but I'll do it here since this is our catch all. We got him measured for it on Friday. I was upset about it at first, but now I've come to terms with it. I know there are plenty of worse things to be dealing with and it should be a short amount of time (12 weeks max).
Still, I worry about how people are going to react to him. I know it's superficial. He is so happy and sweet and I worry people are just going to see the helmet, instead of what an awesome kid he is.
If people react badly than they are assholes. I understand your concerns though. Try to stay positive knowing you are doing what is right for your baby and that is not perminant.

Dear it's simple....your baby is awesome. Your doing what's best for him and anyone else can F off. When it comes to superficial things like that as far as a helmet anyone who can look at a sweet baby and think badly of him is an asshat anyway. HUGS dear.
@MissyC979 sorry LO has to have that but it's for the best!! If you don't mind me asking... how big is your LO's spot? Is it pretty severe then or does your pedi recommend the helmet to keep it from getting worse? Does your LO have to wear it 24/7 or...?
We found a flat spot on DS on Saturday so are trying to prepare for conversation with pedi next week.
Pretty bad. When measuring diagonally, from back right to front left is 13mm less than the opposite way. I guess less than 4-6 mm different is normal.

Anyone who judges him is a douche anyway.
As a warning, people might feel free to make judgmental comments to you. I'd come up with some retorts now.
Any ideas? I always think of things after, but not in the moment. I'm also not sure what to have DS1 if kids in his preschool class ask about the helmet.
I do worry about people judging. We're doing everything we can for him though. Our guess is he got torticollis from his positioning in utero, since the pedi noticed his neck preference pretty early. We've been in PT for a month now, but we're still struggling with his preference.
Simon has fuzzy ears too! To be completely honest, the fuzzy ears were my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing about him as a newborn....I just find it so adorable! I don't want him to outgrow it!
@MissyC979 -- there is a good chance that Simon will need a helmet too. Did you see the thread a while back about the woman who paints them? If we get one, I really want to do that! Regardless though, screw people who can't look past it! I think the helmets are kind of cute in their own way.
One of DH's buddies is a district manager for Dunkin donuts... Sometimes he drops by and stocks us up on goodies! I haven't actually bought k cups in 6 months!!
This morning H texted me about wanting to eat healthier, including cutting down on carbs and how he needs help to do so. I offered to help by eating ALL the carbs! He didn't seem very appreciative of the sacrifice I am willing to make for him.
My son's 2nd birthday is today. We had a great weekend and a nice day today but I'm getting ready to put him to bed here in a few minutes and I'm getting sad. Here's a pic of my awesome little dude. And I expect lots of love tits from you love tit hoars to make me feel better
I'm 100X more excited for tomorrow night women's championship. Norte Dame v Uconn. Both undefeated and a kick ass rivalry to boot! Go ND! (Sorry Uconn girls)

@Risalyn222 check out this throwback from 1994? I think? Of the parade after they won. I can't believe the kids are asleep cuz there's a lot of yelling and cheering going on over here!!
@Cashingn2 that is a cute pic. @Alexisgamez105 that is a huge difference. She is adorable. We will be 4 months old the 17th. @ballerina10 I am so sorry for you. Truly. When my DD started to act like yours and I couldn't survive anymore I started to supplement more and more. Looking back I regret it. My own personal issue. But I seriously feel for you because I have been there. Hugs.
I know what you mean. I don't think we've hit ours yet and even though we're EFF now I already have a crappy sleeper so any less than what I get now and I am F'd

Meant to quote @MissyC979
My baby is fuzzy too. She actually has hair on her ears too.

Eta it was 95!
@Mmc0323 so far the little man has stayed a asleep but things are getting intense here!
Congrats UConn fans!
