I have a big storage room we built in our basement last year to contain all of our crap (60% of it is Christmas decorations) ... Somehow since LO has been outgrowing things we have filled the room ... Moved into the spare room and have now leaked into the entire basement. Keeping baby things for a potential second child is hard when it takes up so much space, but I know the cost savings will be massive. I think I may head out for some vacuum bags to save up some room in the three big tubs of clothes he's already outgrown (not including what I've donated).
Spring cleaning has been happening here all week, it's been super hard but does it ever feel good to see those garbage bags fill up.
@SLaBM2B I felt the same this morning. I was off all last week with DD and she was clingy and grumpy almost the whole week. It's nice to have some time away even though it is at work. Motherhood is a tough gig.
@kelly422 they will recover, it just can take a long ass time. Mine never fully came back between kiddos but my sister nurses her two kids and she said after 8 years they finally are back to a good shape and size. 8 years!!!! Hopefully my skin got the better genes in the elasticity department.
OK my sister may be a special snowflake so I shouldn't have scared you like that. She was pregnant (delivered her first full term but only lived 15 minutes due to a heart defect), pumped for 2 weeks for NICU babies, got pregnant again 3 months later, nursed for a year, got pregnant again right away and nursed for a year. So that is like 5 years total of PG/nursing in a row and I think the 8 was total because she told me when my nephew was like 4 so it was like maybe more like 3 years after? Still, it sounded like a long f'ing time.
Ok, I have done 3 loads of laundry, went through the kids dressers and cleaned out clothes, went through the bins of DD1's stuff for DD2, took stuff out for her and took other stuff out I'm not keeping, posted stuff on a local FB group, cleaned the kitchen, washed and made bottles, swept and mopped the floors, cleaned the sink and stove, cleaned the living room, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned the bathroom, bathed the 2 kids, and mailed out some bills. I think the only way I could possibly de-germ this place more would be to burn it down and start over. I have yet to work out or shower, but my house is clean. Which makes me clean by proxy. Yes?
DH switches to second shift (3 pm-11 pm) next week and I'm stressing about it big time! He's been on graveyard shift since June and I have gotten used to having him around in the evenings. Now he will be asleep when DD and I get up in the mornings and gone when we get home. I have no idea how I'm going to handle evenings on my own. I foresee a lot of tears in the beginning.
Mad props to all you single moms out there. I don't how you do it.
@NurseMommy13 - I'm totally scared of that happening to me! I was lucky to fill an A cup pre-pregnancy, and if they shrink I'll be buying training bras :-P
I'm behind but still thinking of ColieAnn and NurseMommy!!!
I've got my period ... ick...M is sick and I am getting it and MH is getting a tooth pulled as we speak so he will come home useless. I wish I could just think hard enough about making dinner and it would materialize for me
@thetamedshrew Well I spent last week basically just trying to keep us alive, so I did nothing else. Lol. The mess was starting to develop life like in the cartoons where it starts breathing and then eats you. That's where a big chunk of the motivation came from. It had to be done. Now. Lol. The energy drink I had helped too
I'm in a FB tiff with a girl I went to high school with who is a sonographer. She copied this whole list of issues sonographers have with OBGYN patients. Some I can totally see like how it's not show and tell for your whole family and whatever but one was "If I tell you that you need a full bladder, do it. I can and will look. If you didn't, you will sit in the waiting room until you do." I jokingly said that the sonographer must have been pregnant and not know how physically impossible it is to time it out so that you give them what they want without pissing yourself while you wait. All her sonographer friends are like "Um, we know that but then I guess we can't help you figure out if you're going to have a preventable miscarriage. We're not being mean." Um ok. First, I was teasing because I know you're not being mean but seriously, if I'm going to piss my pants and you haven't called me yet, I guess yes, you will have to wait for me and not treat me like I was an idiot who couldn't follow directions.
I don't even know why I got so annoyed with this chick but I found myself in a FB argument spiral lol
The title of this thread is going to having me sing the song "we go together" from the movie "grease" all week! I have been singing it non stop to Jameson, at least he finds it entertaining.
@melohdy, a friend lent me a bunch of clothes that I return when he grows out of them. She is not done with having babies and the agreement was that I was just borrowing them.
@tiffletons518, sorry but you pay your bills by mail? Girl we need to get you some online banking! Unless Americans don't do that, then carry on.
@tttwalters haha us Americans do that, but I owed the state after we did our taxes and I mail out our water bill too. It's either that or go up there and pay it. No thanks. Most of our bills I pay online, but I do have a few strays that I have to mail out. They are usually medical bills. Lame.
Haha is there actually a horror movie with a similar name or just sounds like it?
I actually hate this SN, it's just something I came up with way back when during my the knot days. Is it possible to change it that would be great.

lol, ok! I love your siggy pic btw!
Thanks! It had been a while. I figured I should add one back in
@Steamboat1679 that is too funny/annoying. Yeah G wore cloth diapers and was Spider-Man at this point whereas Lo is wearing the exact same stash now and is a total lump. I don't think the diapers are a factor!
Guys, I might have to have sex with MH. He just told me to go for a run, and the kids are still awake and in full force! Bless the next 30 min
I am so jealous. DH isn't very supportive of my running he always tells me to do some yoga or take a nap. Is he saying I'm high strung?!?! (If you knew me in real life this would be much funnier).
Re: Spamalamadingdong 3/24
What's that? yeah yeah yeah
Funky funky, how bout a big hand now?
Wait, wait a minute...
