I feel hungry a lot and i'm trying to find good, healthy foods that will hold me over but not make me gain any more weight than i should be. any suggestions? I have 8 weeks left.
Fruits and veggies will fill you up without a lot of calories. Also try drinking a lot of water -- sometimes thirst is confused for hunger, plus it will make you feel full.
Big fan of drinking water/ milk. Fruits and veggies are good too, but so is yogurt, nuts, or even a small sandwich. Remember, small meals spread out all through the day is key; if you're eating every 2-3 hours you're less likely to get super hungry and binge on junk
The only thing that really feels me up, is super nutrient dense, and lasts a long time are beans. Veggies are awesome, but lets be honest - they don't always satisfy. The fiber bulks you up but you still miss that satiation of having something hardy. My favorite is refried beans topped with fresh salsa with 1-2 small whole wheat tortillas. You can do corn chips but they're fatty. Or, you can skip the extra carbs and just eat it with a fork over some lettuce. Num! Lasts for a good few hours for me and gives me the mental relief that I ate something healthy. :-)
