Actually, @kellybelly5569 , my birth mother did smoke weed while pregnant with us (I have a twin). We were born at home prematurely at 29 weeks, nearly died because our lungs were damaged/not mature, & spent the first 6 months of our lives in the NICU. It's a miracle that we are alive.

CPS got involved 3 times until finally their rights were terminated. My birth mother went on to smoke weed through 4 more pregnancies. CPS took all of her kids.

We are ok. Graduated college with honors, but 3/4 of the others have mental health issues & learning disabilities.

For a medical professional you sure like to talk out of your ass.

Nope. I have the medical records & tox screens to prove it.Also, my half-siblings didn't present with any issues until 25 or so. Just because your son "seems fine" doesn't mean he is.

I chose to stay home because that is what I wanted to do. Why do you ASSume that because I don't work now that it means I have never worked or gone to school?

I'd say 50% luck & 50% hard work. I give credit to my wonderful parents that adopted two very sick babies with poor prognoses. They represent nurture & patience that helped us maximize our potential. So, love, support & patience.

Weed is bad for your brain. It's well documented. There is no point arguing that. It kills brain cells. If it's bad for your brain then it's probably not great for a developing fetus. I don't have to have a degree in rocket science from MIT to make that connection.

Just because I made it out ok doesn't mean every kid will. So it is unwise to recommend it.
