For the record, I think it's extra shitty that this happened while I can't drink. All I want is a rum and coke (or four)

Yes! It was a Honda Civic... it was actually my first car! Our other car is a Honda CR-V and we're planning on trading it in for a Pilot soon. Honda will always be my favorite!

So glad your DH is ok! I've had a couple scares with DS and it's amazing how much it physically hurts you to imagine how it could've been worse.

Good news: I passed my 3 hr glucose test. Happy dance! Bad news: I got hit with the same bug DD has and neither one of us can keep much in. DH might have to take today off to take care of his sick girls.

Grrr. I get off early today and DH was going to come pick me up to go to the DMV to get my car sold, but now his dad showed up out of nowhere last night with the boat to take him fishing. He's definitely earned a day off after working so hard on the house so I feel like an asshole for being upset, but they woke me up at 4:30, and I'm going to be stressing about all the work not getting done at the house. Blah weekend hurry up!

We got back from the beach Sunday with our niece, who stayed with us until Tuesday.  Now that she's gone we can start to clear out the room she used to prepare to move DS into it (new baby will get his old room).  Of course I'm ready to get started ASAP this weekend with the work, but DH signed himself up for the Tough Mudder on Saturday, so this will be him Saturday (picture is from last year),

 and I suspect he'll be just a little beat up to be any good to me on Sunday.

I was running late this morning and didn't pay much attention to my dress. Just went to the bathroom and noticed how big it makes my boobs look and that it's probably too low to be wearing to school, after I gave my kids a dress code speech. Teacher of the year, folks.

My dogs go absolutely insane for broccoli. It's the weirdest thing.

Our black one will usually spit out vegetables, but the white one will eat almost anything (even non food items such as bark dust, grass seed, and dryer lint... Ugh!). If Ellie sees Cosmo eat anything, she will assume it is amazing and scarf it down immediately ... She doesn't realize he doesn't exactly have refined tastes ;-).

I'm so glad your DH is alright!  Before you even posted the pic, I wondered if it was a Honda.  I was in a horrible accident in 2005 (plowed into by a drunk driver at 60 mph) and everyone said the only reason I'm still here is because it was a Honda (Accord specifically).  After that, there was no doubt- the immediate replacement was a Honda (Civic) and our second vehicle is also a Honda (CR-V).  I will never not drive a Honda because of how well that car protected me- and now your hubby!  They're a great car and well worth the money to us.
