I just made all of the stickies/announcements go away. Didn't some people say they were not able to get rid of all of them? Try logging out and logging back in or something. I know I'm not an SS! ;-)
@ghostof5letters the spoon is more discrete. I don't want to share with my toddler.
Edit: quote fail
Well played.
I also get angry when I'm coloring a beautiful dinosaur and my toddler wants to help and color on my page.

Getting reaaaaaaallllllly sick of working. I want to spend my days nesting. Decorating, organizing, going for long walks, swimming, yoga, having coffee with my SAHM girlfriends. I have worked nonstop since I was 15 so it's really weird for me to have this mentality now. A career is just not a priority to me anymore, not like it used to be.
Anyone else in the same boat? Suddenly want to pump the brakes, just not feeling it anymore?
Well following the Jojobean timeline you can expect to resign in about 6mo and be a SAHM.
@ghostof5letters I don't know if you're still here, but if the red osiers cart is still in the main area (near security), a beef on weck would be your best option.
I have two dogs, and my one of them (Brewski) has not been feeling well. My DH made a vet appt for today. We bring the dogs to daycare during the winter so they can release some energy and play when it is -12 outside like today. This morning I dropped my dogs off only to later find out that they both need to be picked up. Brewski has kennel cough from a vaccine that he got a week ago at the vet. Now neither of my dogs are allowed at daycare for a minimum of 10 days!
What's the point of vaccines if they will cause your pet to get sick and it costs you even more money?

What a mess! I should hope the vet would cut you some sort of deal, since they kinda caused the problem in the first place.
I have started farting so much since being pregnant. Last night I farted on the sofa when I was hanging out with DH. That wasn't anything profound, but he just gave me this look that sent me off in hysterical laughter. I just kept laughing until I cried because all the farting is so absurd and there's nothing I can do to stop it.
Me too! I think the funniest ones for me are when I'm teaching... I totally crop dust to keep the suspicion away from me. Like typical teenagers, they assume the rancidness is coming from one of their classmates, and I consider this payback from all the nasty farts I've endured out of them. Poor DH, though, I think he might pass out from lack of oxygen one of these days.
RLP is crazy, nausea visited me again today, joint pain is abounding, and my God- the heartburn and today my MIL made me feel (inadvertently) like a big fat fatty.
But then my FIL called and said he was so happy at our sex reveal that he went home and cried because it was such a special moment. That touched my heart so I kind of forgot about feeling like poop the rest of the day.

Doggy daycare to get your pups some exercise and release energy is really just not the way to go. You should try locking them in the garage all day and only letting them out for potty breaks. I hear that works wonders.
I'm sorry you're dealing with kennel cough, it really sucks and takes forever to go away. I've never heard of it being a side effect of a vaccine. Maybe another dog at the vet had it?

Anatomy scan is on Thursday, and because the scheduling was whackadoo I'm taking the whole day off. I'm trying to be ultra conservative with my days off, but I'm so happy to be off on Thursday.
I feel like a total newb asking this question, but do any of you ladies dye your hair during pregnancy? I'm really sick of my hair and I'm getting it trimmed this weekend. I'm growing out a short haircut and I'm in that painful, awkward stage. I also want it to be darker, but I'm a little nervous dumping chemicals on my head.

I do...just did it last night in fact. Did it with DS too. I see no way that the chemicals could get to the baby unless you had some gaping head wound, in which case dyeing your hair probably isn't a priority.

I think it's fine especially in second trimester. Ask your ob if it will make you more comfortable. Also if you plan on going darker that can be achieved with Demi permanent which doesn't contain ammonia. So less fumes. I'm a hairstylist. Our salon is pretty ventilated which most are.
I just found out I have a grandpa that was born in the 1800's!! Holy crap! We were on ancestry.com and I looked up my father's real father. He died when my dad was a small boy and his mom remarried. So that was the only grandpa I met. My dad was 50 when he had me and his dad was in his early 40's when he had my dad. He was born in 1897! I'm in my late 20's and I have a grandpa born in the 1800's!
I think I will look into some hair color this weekend. Thanks! I probably will do a semi-permanent just so I don't have to keep up with roots.
@Love227 My OB's office is pretty conservative with the do's and don'ts of pregnancy (no lunchmeat, no alcohol ever, no fun etc.). I was told last pregnancy no hair dye. With my last pregnancy I asked about nail polish and sunless tanning lotion and they didn't know, so of course the answer was no. I don't ask them these questions anymore.
The internet in my office keeps going out. This is seriously cutting into my bumping time, not to mention I HAVE TO RUN PAYROLL. And it fucking requires internet.
And of course all IT can tell me is that there looks to be a problem with your line. We are sending someone out to look at it. Um, you already knew this. We already knew this. We established this problem 4 months ago and you told me they way things got set up this wouldn't be an issue.
eta: And it might take me 3 hours to actually post this because in the span of time it took to type it, the internet went out..again.
I REALLY wish i could have a god damn cookie. or 20.

Wait, do you do their payroll too? That should really encourage them to prioritize the issue...
Unfortunately no, it's a separate company.
I have payroll to run for my company of roughly 300 people. And they will go all angry mob if they don't get paid, especially since this is probably rent money for most of them. Not to mention all the other work i can't do while it's down. It's driving me bonkers.
When do people usually take prenatal classes through their hospital? There are all kinds of "sign up early these classes fill up!" Notices on our hospitals website
My doctor's office just called to say I have a UTI. I've never had one before and had no idea.. apparently I've tested positive twice for it (which would have been 2 months ago, and then again on Monday) and they're just now calling me about it. Good times!
@LiteraChick no burn, I literally had no idea I had anything wrong. The nurse that called said if I'm still peeing a ton, that might have something to do with it (I am) and if I have back pain as well (I do).. they're giving me antibiotics to get rid of it.
Speaking of pee, I have to pee so bad right now, but I am afraid if I stand up this baby is going to plop on my bladder and I might not make it down the hall. Wish me luck. Here I go...
Re: Random thread- for all things random.
Somebody come take this fork away from me.
Also, @funnibunni80's refusal to talk about what happened with the dog trainer is making me that much more determined to find out.
Eta: auto correct

eta: they found it through routine pee testing.
