Lately I've been listening to a lot of stand up comedy bits during my 45 minute one-way commute. I now love George Lopez and Katt Williams so much. Live ya mothafuckin life, y'all.
Katt Williams is one of my favorite comedians ever, he is SOOO funny. You have to see some of his bits on HBO or find one of the DVDs. It's even funnier to watch him act stuff out.

Thumbs up for both! I love both of them as well. Like a lot!!! Usually on the weekends if I have time I can't resist watching Kat on my Netflix. Also, if I can squeeze Anjelah Johnson in there too, it makes my weekend end just that much better.

I saw George Lopez live this week. Hilarious! And Kat Williams is my all time favorite! I've seen all his specials!
An amber teething necklace will seriously diminish the drooling on the little ones. I think they all start the drool phase around 3 months. With DS it stopped it almost immediately and I just put one on DD last night. I ordered her a bracelet but its still a little too big for her wrist or ankle. It made a world of difference with my first kiddo. I never EVER knew when he was cutting his teeth (11 months). No fever, no fuss!

Where do you get this magical anti-drool device? Also, are they expensive? I'm willing to try it but I'm not willing to shell out a ton of money for it at this point.
There are tons of websites (and ETSY) that sale them but I ordered her bracelet here. They have free shipping. The stones are supposed to have an analgesic effect that is absorbed through the skin. I keep the jewelry on them 24/7. DS wore his bracelet for 18 months straight before the thread accidentally broke off. DS was literally drooling through bib after bib and shirts. I put the bracelet on him and he never wore a bib again and didn't have to change his onesies. I was skeptical at first but I thought it was cute for him to wear, regardless, and it actually ended up working WONDERS for him.
Edit: Also, I've read that the lighter and "raw" stones are more effective. They have the raw honey and lemon stones. But pick whatever color you like

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
Random question, do you like Deborah Cox? Every time I listen to "how did you get here" for some reason, I think of you and our appreciation for 90's R&B lol
Hi, I exist. I guess I'm a monthly bumper now, since my last post was 9/16, and this is the only thread I read.
@litera I just started Gilmore Girls too! And Grey's Anatomy. And Call the Midwife season 3. And I'm still watching Parenthood, Doctor Who, Mad Men and The Walking Dead. I have a Netflix problem.
Also, whoever was asking about transcription jobs, I just got hired for one too! I just googled, and found one with good reviews for beginners. I just had to take a transcription test (which was pretty easy!) and they hired me! It'll be nice to have some extra holiday money.
@missquela make sure you check how long it takes for payments to start. 60 days from completing the project is not unusual so it can take a while to get going.

Lol! You know it! She can sing and she really gets you into it. **singing away now*** I'm glad you're enjoying the station. I have the max stations that you can do on pandora, and that's by far my fav!
@bullybutt we love our amber! I got DS a hazelwood and amber mix to help with the inflammation of Teething and to help with his reflux. He's like a different baby!
To the other ladies. Sometimes they come with a certificate. Some don't. You can test it by putting it in salt water. It should float. If not then it's a fake. The "raw" unpolished works best in my experience. Momma beanstalk on etsy is good, so is Ash Amber on etsy, a lot of people use hazelaid.com too. I figured why not try it for $20 if it's something that could help. From the thread about products wr love/hate, we all know we have wasted money on other things in case you don't like it. But we love it. I'm thinking of getting myself one too for these wisdom teeth I have coming in.
Those of you who use/have used amber, have you already put them on your July babies, or do you wait until you're sure they are teething?
I already put mine on DD. She has been drooling so on it went. The same thing happened with DS at 3 months, but he didn't get his first tooth until 11 months old.
My car was parked on the street and it just got hit by some older lady who was trying to parallel park in the spot behind me... and LO hasn't slept all day and as soon as I get her to sleep my doorbell rings and I have to deal with this shit. fuckkkk
ETA: there is a wonderful scratch the entire passenger side as well as the front passenger door doesn't open. Happy friday to me!
@litera@sharmon1317@darkangel42 it's rev.com. It's a San Francisco based company and they pay every Monday for work completed the prior week. It's super low paying, but I figured I can make around $200/month with not too much effort. It seems like a really good company so far, no minimum or max jobs required, pay every week...pretty cool.

Sounds great!
I make about $200 a week for a couple of hours work BUT it's super slow paying (almost 2 months so I'm getting regular payments now but it took a while to get going) and has a minimum amount of work.

They help with reflux?!? Okay now I'm really getting one.
The hazelwood mix helps with reflux. DS has been wearing his necklace for two weeks.

That sounds better, @darkangel42. This one is for beginners, people just getting into transcription who have a decent WPM. Reviews I read said its a great entry level way to gain experience for a better transcription job. It would be great to be making enough to SAH at some point! Suuuure I can nurse and type at the same time! :-P
Did you know that in Canada they have Black Friday sales too...ON OUR BLACK FRIDAY?
Did you know that at Chick Fil A you can swap a kid's meal toy for an ice cream cone?

I haven't eaten my feelings in a long time but tonight F (who I'm 90 percent sure is teething), spent about an hour on and off screaming at me and wouldn't sleep. He was changed, fed, burped, and so freaking tired but he would not allow me to comfort him.
I looked down at his red face and I just yelled "Go get me ice cream"
F finally fell asleep and DH is out getting me something tasty.

Why don't movies come with warnings about sad stuff?!
*warning and spoiler alert ahead* less than 5 minutes into The Other Woman it starts talking about a dead baby. WTF?! Some of us are sensitive. Don't watch it if you're sensitive.
Started watching something about adopted kids which is supposed to be happy but it's full of sex so had to turn it off.
I hate everything. Plus I have another blocked duct with the accompanying headache/temperature and my boob feels like it's full of of strawberries. RAAAAAAA
