I saw string cheese in the fridge at work and now all I want is some motherfucking string cheese. I haven't had that shit in 15 years at least. I ran down to the corner store/talibanwich shop and no string cheese there, either. I has the sadz.
I have been pretty regularly buying string cheese while pregnant, and I am not a "string cheese person." It's so weird but whenever I see it it sounds so good to me! (Also, I think string cheese with a handful of almonds is a totally healthy snack that justifies following it up with a graham cracker with chocolate frosting. I am practically a nutritionist over here ;-)).

This is ridiculous, but I am extremely excited for the new couch being delivered today. It is the style that has 2 reclining seats on the end. It is replacing an old leather couch that DH's parents gave us YEARS ago when we moved into our first apartment.
This is the type of couch that we have, and the reclining seats are a lifesaver when I can't get comfortable laying down! Enjoy your new couch!

Pepcid AC wasn't cutting it with this heartburn, so I got a prescription which has really improved my quality of life.
The directions say to take on an empty stomach and an hour before eating. With gestational diabetes management that happens NEVER, unless I'm sleeping. So I've been taking it during my 3am pee breaks. Haven't missed a dose yet
It was so good IMO! I don't want to give too much detail but it's got quite a few important changes from the original sleeping beauty as well as the fact that maleficent was just badass. Lol I loved it!
@ksspiff...your siggy totally happened to me last time! I lost weight right after giving birth and then gained back 7 pounds in that 6 weeks of "recovery." I was never able to lose that all while breast feeding. Ugh!
PS: I have thin mints waiting for me in the freezer :P

I tried to do a gif but it didn't work so a big fat YAY will have to suffice.
So I was watching "16 & Pregnant" and when it ended, an episode of "True Life" came on and it's an episode about two couples that are wanting to have a threesome.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
I'm sitting here lurking in May and I must be nuts but even reading about a baby who is up from 12-3am every night fussing and crying and wanting to be held makes me excited to have this little one in my life. FTM craziness?

Yes and no. It will SUCK - by day 30 I thought I was going to go insane (sleep deprivation is a form of torture for a reason), and little did I know I had 8 more months of it.
BUT - that time in the wee hours with my DS wasn't wasted either. It was our time and no one else's. We would talk and sleep together and as he got older we would laugh together. It sucked, but I couldn't trade it either.
He's almost 5, but still calls me if he can't find his lovey in the middle of the night. He goes right back to sleep, but I don't totally mind being able to give him a kiss at 4 am and hearing I love you one more time these days I'm probably up peeing anyway!

I'm totally worried about this. DS was really an easy baby. Sure, we had MOTN feedings, but they were quick and he didn't need to be up past getting his tummy full. And he was STTN by week 8. I suspect this one is going to let us in on what exactly we "missed" the firs time around.
@jnnfrrose6 I have this same paranoia about labor. I'm a FTM but my own mom and grandma won't stop telling me stories about how fast and easy their births were... Makes me feel like I am just going to be the exception to the rule.
My grandma told me (at my baby shower no less) how she "ripped from end to end" with her first birth (my mom). Greeeeaaaaat!!!!

As a fellow FTM I've been reading those posts to try to prep myself for what it's really going to be like (to balance out my obsessive reading of the cute squishy baby birth stories) :-)
I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a break-up or that your husband wants a divorce. Those must be really scary things to go through, especially when you have children.
However, running to your ex-boyfriend, the guy you dated over TEN years ago and have not spoken to except for a "How's life?" wall post on Facebook is gross. He's married. He has two children and one on the way. Obsessively liking all of his statuses and sending him messages saying "We should get together for a mini reunion!" mere hours after you've updated your relationship status to single is pathetic. Quit.
I know this is a small town and I know it's hard when you feel all alone, but good Lord. Could you at least go after someone you've actually spoken to in the last ten years?
(Also, he shows me these messages, and we laugh and laugh. And then I get pissy because I'm eight months pregnant and tired of his phone vibrating at midnight. Seriously. Stop.)

As a follow-up to my nail biter post from yesterday, after work DH took me on a string cheese walk, and I've had two since. I can't believe I've gone so long without them.

Yes. But in the best way. Those nights are hard and there is NOTHING that can prepare you for it. However, like with all things parenting, for every difficult thing we get like MOTN feedings/crying/toddler temper tantrums we get something wonderful in return like a newborn who just wants to snuggle or sleep on us or a two year old with a fistful of wild flowers saying, "My picked deese for you momma!".
I bought the new Oreo creme filled chewy Chips Ahoy cookies today thinking they'd be meh. I ate one, then 3 more, then hid the package because they were so much better than I anticipated and I don't want DH to know they're here and eat them all.

Good! I'm glad to hear it's a thing and not just me planning in gaining weight. I also have thin mints, and Easter candy, hiding in the freezer. And plans. So many food plans...

Yes, this is what happened to me also. I lost about 25 lbs with in the first 3 weeks, but soon it was Halloween candy, then ThanksGiving feasts, and other Holiday parties, and I did not lose it all until more than a year later with serious calorie restricting.
I don't have GD this time, and admit to indulging since I am not restricted with the GD diet. I hope to learn from my past experience and follow the GD diet after baby is born. Sugars and carbs seem to be magnified in to extra pounds with my body chemistry.

WHAT?!? Sounds like something to get for my "no more GD" treat bag!

OMG. So, I got my piano moved to my house safely, but the piano movers I hired turned out to be a 70 year-old man, his morbidly obese son (I kid you not the guy was at least 350 pounds) and the wife/mom that sat in our driveway "vaping" her e-cigarettes while her son and husband nearly killed themselves going doing our basement steps with a piano. It was so insane. I was terrified I was going to have two dead piano movers and a smashed piano in my basement by the end of it all.
Dude...that is hilarious and terrifying. What if they had dropped your piano?!? Would they have replaced it?

You're making me miss cable...
I don't know about True Life, but MTV does show full episodes of 16 & Pregnant online!
(I keep telling DH we can get rid of cable if he wants, but I'm totally not pushing him on it because of crap like that I insist on watching.)

There is a nail place next to an Acme that I never go to. Yesterday, I noticed that it was open on Sundays.
Lol I wonder how many ppl here actually know what ACME is
I wish I didn't. I hate them.
that's why i never went there...but the promise of a mani/pedi before hand is just too tempting...i'll do some groceries there every week now...just to get through the next couple of days if it means that i get my tootsies done
Fairly certain I had like 3 really strong contractions while I was sleeping last night. I just remember coddling my belly and the hugest clinching belly feeling ever in my life. Sound familiar anybody?

This was me last night as well. For some reason though, my contractions only feel really strong/painful at night. The ones during the day are like meh.
I've been having this weird upper back pain (like right below my bra line) that roughly coincides with when a bout of BHCs are about to start. I'm wondering if this is pre-back labor for short people? lol

I'm having pain in the same spot but haven't noticed a specific pattern. I'm short though, so you might be on to something
I had to take a trip to L&D for regular contractions, and the OB on call looked exactly like Mindy from The Mindy Show. My husband and I stared at each other reading each other's minds, and he sat silently pleading with me not to note the resemblance.
