The office next to mine has a private bathroom. The person who uses this office is in meetings all afternoon and is letting people use her office. I need to poop and I'm so annoyed!
I'm hate that every time I eat something I get overly full and so extremely tired. Its like my digestive system needs every ounce of energy to digest my food. DH suggested going to Pizza Hut tonight for dinner and stopping at Rita's on the way home. That sounds like an awesome way to spend a Friday evening, but it seems wasted on me right now. I'm going to eat once slice and feel like crawling into bed.
That private bathroom seems like a good idea. I'm a bathroom prude and I stick to my bathroom etiquette. But not dealing with ppl at all? Sounds good!
My belly button has been stretched to the max for a good month or more. Well, Bentley isn't done incubating yet so now my belly has begun to stretch out on both sides of the belly button leaving the button as an indentation. It reminds me of my grandpa's belly button HOLE I remembering seeing as a kid through his t-shirts. That plus my swollen camel toe... I'm irresistible!
(I tried to take a pic but it just isn't coming out well)
I was at my OB's yesterday in the waiting room and there was a new mom there breastfeeding her newborn. I kept tearing up thinking about how that would be me soon and thinking about how much I can't wait to meet my little Emma.
ETA: I hope nobody noticed, cause it might have seemed creepy to have a pregnant woman staring and crying at a stranger breastfeeding.
Nah, I don't think it's creepy, I think it's sweet and I don't blame you. I think everyone goes a little extra ga ga over babies at the doctor's office.
While we were waiting for our appointment this week, a little boy who was just starting to learn how to run was tearing around the office. He ran right into a cabinet and wiped out, but popped back up instantly, grinning as if he was saying "It's cool guys, I'm fine!" Then everyone started laughing at how cute he was, and in response he ran around the room giving every woman in the waiting room a hug around her leg. It was the cutest freaking thing ever and I almost started tearing up as well, thinking about all the fun moments like that I have in store over the next few years

I almost have to avoid looking at small children or babies at this point due to creepy staring/tearing up on my part!
The other day I was sitting in Starbucks and a dad was there with two little girls (they looked 1ish and 3ish?) and the dad took a picture of the older girl on his phone and the girl said "daddy can I see it?" and he said "hold on, I'm sending it to mommy." and then the girl said "Does mommy wike it?" Oh man.. the tears.
Ok so this is more of a vent/rant and I really don't want to rain on the sweetness we've got going on but I am about to lose it on my new co-worker. I know where the stress/burnt out is coming from. I know I complain about her a lot and I am really sorry y'all, but I feel like I can only tell y'all and my DH about it.
I literally cannot stand her. She threw up ONCE (ONE EFFING TIME) yesterday and she's leaving early so she can "catch up on her rest and not ruin her memorial day trip". Ok fine. Whatever. She's a total wuss, but at least I don't have to spend my afternoon with her.
Then today at lunch, this:
New Coworker: My husband is in (really liberal large city) right now. He said he saw two women kissing yesterday in the airport! I was like "Ewww! Don't tell me that I don't even want to think about that! What's wrong with those women?" ::GIGGLES LIKE A CHILD and looks around the table incredulously::
Me: ::Giant sideye:: You're not homophobic are you? If you are, keep it to yourself. My favorite aunt is a lesbian and I don't want to hear it. ::GIANT GLARE::
That shut her up.
Now she's being kind of snotty and you know what? I don't care. I want to go scream in her face I LOVE THE GAY PEOPLE!*
What the hell is wrong with people?
/rant
*You need to read that in the voice of Tom Cruise from Jerry Maguire when he is yelling "I love the black people!" and Cuba Gooding Jr. says, "Congratulations. You're still my agent."
Good for you for telling that lil' snatch to keep her hole shut. And take her snottiness as her showing how uncomfortable she is being called out on her bullshit. Proud of you for putting her in her place.
Grrrrrrrrrr. When will people just stop this nonsense? It's so hateful. How is that even a conversation starter? It's not even compelling!
She's first generation American and she was talking about how she would be upset if her son married a white girl (which was the first thing that offended me), but she's sure since he's in CA and people are "too liberal" out there he won't find a nice (insert culture here) girl to marry. A nice white girl just won't do.
That led to the story about her hubby being in the big liberal city.
(PS Sorry if you didn't mean that question literally. I'm ragey which makes me literal! )
LO keeps rubbing a limb around on the right side of my belly button and it's starting to get sore. I'd take this in a heartbeat over the low-movement day I had a couple days ago, but it would be fun if she could maybe try the left side for a while!

Just bought the material for my very first muslin and jersey knit baby wraps!!! So excited to get these babies sewn and to start learning how to tie them :-)
I made a meet and greet appointment with a pediatrician. That's how that office does it. I don't want to do a meet and greet. I just want to take Emma there for her first appointment or two and if I don't like the doctor I'll switch doctors until I find one I like. I'm not sure how I get a handle on whether or not someone is the "right" doctor for my kid for the next 18 years in one meet and greet. Unless she's chain-smoking and has open, infected wounds, I'm likely to just say "great, see you in a couple months!" and see how things go when we're actually in a patient/doctor situation.
With the number of appointments you'll have in the first year it seems like it would be a pain to switch after 1 or 2 visits if you don't like then. At least with a meeting before hand you can get an idea of how their office runs, if they have any policies you may not be comfortable with, or if you just don't like the doctor's demeanor. Sure, they can put on a show prior and you still nay want to change, but you'll have 2 visits under your belt in the first month. Seems like a hassle to transfer if you can get an idea ahead of time if you even like them.
@jnnfrrose6 Just the basic material wrap...5 meters long so I can learn to do a kangaroo carry or just a front wrap cross carry. Friend sent me a link on baby wearing and now I'm all obsessed :-) I received a ring sling at my shower and we'll see how that goes too. Just like the idea of being able to strap the newborn to me while still have 2 hands!

That's exactly what I did last time and loved it! I didn't need the full 5 yards because I'm short. I'd be careful with the jersey knit since that kind of fabric has so much give/stretch in it. You may not be able to get it comfortably tight enough with LO if it stretches out. I actually used seersucker.
I am dying for baby giggles and that lil' :-O face they make when they are surprised or especially delighted at something.
I need to buy a bigger memory card on my camera.
I shamelessly bought the 64gb iPhone last year because in one year with DS videos and photos I'd maxed our my 16gb one.
I was thinking about this after I read @literachick's post. I'm due for an upgrade, so....why not get a mega memory phone?? Irrefutable logic that DH can't deny

Check out the rumors for the iPhone 6 and 6s. They look really cool and they are getting bigger.
I have started pulling up TB in the mornings before I get started with work just to see if there are any new birth announcements, and I breathe a sigh of relief that there are no new baby announcements yet. But then I also feel a little bummed, because.. babies! Luckily I have May/June announcements to stalk. Keep cooking July babies!
This reminded me. Has anyone else noticed that the BMBs right before us are dying down since they started having their babies? That makes me sad FB (or some other reason) has already slowed us down. I hope we don't just die completely when the LOs come. But I can see us all showing up for the middle of the night threads lol.
Familiar sight for any cat owner in the bathroom. She has separation anxiety apparently.
Our little Larzipan does this too. Does yours yowl outside the bathroom too? Whenever our cat does it DH says "she's doing all your favorite things in their kitty!" then lets him in haha.
DH's wheezy/whistly breathing keeps waking me up, thinking that it is DD super crying across the house. I end up fully waking, sitting up, realizing it's nothing and then grumpily trying to go back to sleep. I need to follow the lead of some of you and kick him out of the bed.
Question for you ladies - I'm registered at a couple of different places, but I'm considering making a registry at target, just for the completion discount. I wouldn't tell people I'm registered there, but I'm worried it'll be found and/or people will side-eye the hell out of me. I was going to register for things they tend to have cheaper than amazon and BRU, so the 10% discount would actually make it worth it. Thoughts?

Do it. People shouldn't care, or they'll find it and be happy because that's apparently where they wanted to shop.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
I hate to do the STM thing and say that those of you with cats who don't get to go to the bathroom alone are already in training for kids. But, DS never let's me go to the bathroom in peace. He either opens the door or he sits outside and calls my name and whines. Maybe he's part cat?
I was thinking this too! Aside from business trips, I haven't peed alone in almost 5 years. It's either DS or one if our pugs who follows me everywhere The people with cats will just be more prepared for this than I was!
FTM here so forgive me if I sound stupid. Do you put diaper cream on every time you change a diaper or only when they've got a little irritation going?

We try to use coconut oil or CJ's Butter with every diaper change because DS is prone to rashes. Sometimes I get lazy, but we definitely use it before naps, bed, or if we think he might be in a diaper longer than usual. If he gets a bad rash, we'll use something like Desitin or Bordeauxs and we have a prescription. That stuff is harsher than the coconut oil so I wouldn't use that with every change.

I'm by no means an expert, but I only put I it on DS when he had a bit of irritation...
So yesterday was me and DH's five year wedding anniversary. We were going to do something tomorrow (when my mom is free to watch DS). The plan was a couple's massage and dinner, but DH never made the massage reservation and they are now booked. We're on the cancellation list. I spent a bit of time being grumpy yesterday.
Then I learned DH broke his foot. I can't be mad that, it was an accident. Now any plans for fun are on hold because his foot hurts and he can't walk on it. Now we're looking at three days of sitting in the house being bored. Plus my back is killing me today and DH is scarfing down all my Tylenol since he didn't fill his prescription yesterday. This sucks. Plus he can't get in to see an orthopedic specialist until next week with an accident happening Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend.
DH was also going to work on opening our pool this weekend. So much for that.
