I hate you more than I hated you in 8th grade when I bled thru my jeans... Or the time you snuck in on a date when I was gonna get laid... Or the many times I found myself out of "supplies" in various situations and had to improvise... I've always had a distrust of you o' monthly hassle
I really hate the huge blow it's taken to my supply and freezer stash. I mean wow. Can't pump more than an oz, either side with 2 different manual pumps or the Medela electric. M is so frustrated at the breast it's sad. I at least try to keep him on for a little, then after seeing him arch back, cry, and eat his fist, I'll give him a bottle.
There went all the fresh milk I had for work tomorrow. And the 3oz I managed to squeeze out today isn't going far.
I have no problem supplementing if need be. I just didn't realize it would dry me up so damn bad.
FU AF/monthly gift/menses/uterine hemorrhage.

I'm so sorry. I had this same experience with having the flu.
I took a major hit, so I power pumped, (pumped until empty, then pumped 5 on 5 off for an hour,) for 3 days and took "More Milk Plus" capsules (because the tincture tastes like crap,) and yesterday I was finally back to normal.
I love breastfeeding, but I can't wait to stop thinking about my breasts all the freakin' time.
@BellaOso I was thinking the same thing today. I love it, but I wish my mind didn't revolve around my boobs all day.
Speaking of power pumping, did your LO have a hard time nursing after you power pumped? I haven't done it only because I am worried that she won't nurse after and I'll end up having to give get a bottle, which defeats the whole purpose.

@kwrecks - I'm gonna PM you so as to not derail Bitchfest.
@LEMSA, I'm right there with you. I'm seriously debating starting fenugreek or SOMETHING. I think this new low supply might have something to do with LO deciding she needs to eat for 1-2 hours before going to sleep.
My Bitch: Car seats!!! Ahhh!!!
So, LO hates the car seat. I don't know if it's the bucket seat, the recline, the being strapped down or just generally uncomfortable, but leaving the house makes me a stress head.
We bought the Britax Marathon (we loved it, LO hated it), in hopes that it might make a difference, nope. I contacted a car seat tech to see if I was doing something wrong to make LO so uncomfortable. Turns out it HAS to be tethered. Guess what car manufacturer doesn't allow for Swedish style tethering? Pretty much all of them... I HATE the Aussie style and decided to just try another seat.
We bought a foonf on the tech's recommendation for extended RF, since LO is so tall. It's the first seat we've tried that LO doesn't seem incredibly annoyed to be in. After installing it and finally getting the angle right (my seats slope quite a bit) I find out the seat isn't meant for infants that can not sit unassisted. I'm beyond irritated at this point and end up getting in contact with Clek to see what's up. Turns out your baby CAN use the seat as long as they have good head control. The "sitting unassisted warning" in the manual is just to ensure the infant has good head control. Seriously? Why not just put "Ensure infant has full control of head and neck before use of child restraint"? X(
So we've installed it properly, got the go ahead to use it from a tech and from the manufacturer, and LO loves it. For the first time in a long time she's been sitting in the back chatting up a storm, laughing to herself and just staring out the window instead of in tears. Maybe this will start to ease my anxiety about taking her out of the house.
I am trying to plan LO's christening. We are doing it in NJ, since that is where the godparents, plus all of our family live. First I was told March was fine, pick a weekend. So we did. Then they come back and tell me, oh the church does not do christenings during Lent...so this means end of April. So I said fine, April 27, since the church only does them on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of a month. Now I have to call this church, and I am required to take some sort of class. I need to see if I can take it in FL...I am not Catholic, DH is though, and we decided to christen her Catholic. They just make you jump through so many hoops to do anything, its no wonder people stopped going to church. I just want this to get done, as its also DH and I first vacation since 2006
I get to drive an hour in and an hour home tomorrow to pick up mil from the hospital. She broke her leg on Saturday and will be living with us for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Yay me! Just kidding. My life is seriously crazy enough with two teenagers and three little ones, now I get to wait hand and foot on a woman who thinks nothing of me.
It's almost 2am and I have yet to get ANY sleep. Lo calms down, falls asleep & then 10 minutes later wakes up screaming. I just brought her downstairs to the swing. She's currently swinging & chatting away at her glow worm soother. I'm supposed to be up & getting ready for work in 3 hours. Tomorrow may be my first "sick day" of the year.
I'm sure you all are getting sick of hearing me bitch about it, but I'm so tired of LO not sleeping. I was up 12 times with her last night. 12. I just don't get what the problem is. We haven't had a good night of sleep with only 1 or 2 wake ups since beginning of December. Newborn stage was easier than this, because she actually slept and stayed asleep then.
The windshield wipers on my less than 3-year-old car broke over the weekend. Now I have to predict which day this week will have no precipitation whatsoever, make an appointment to get it fixed, drive it to the dealership with LO in tow, install the car seat in the loaner, and get a parking pass for the loaner so I don't get ticketed for parking on my own street (we have resident permit restrictions). Ugh.
I don't understand why the artic "let out" it's cold air. Can't the arctic keep it's chill?
I don't remember cold like this in any of my 31 years. -40 with windchill seems like some kind of joke. and this is like the 3rd time this month. I'm not one to bitch about winter usually (I don't mind winter 99% of the time!) but this shit is bananas.
I'm working a grave shift.. So I need DH to be useful in the am with LO so I can get some sleep... So what does he do? Stay up til 3. His excuse? 'I thought the baby was gonna wake up any second'.

@caz1221 In the mean time go to Walmart and get some RainX. Works like charm, most of the time you don't even need your wiper blades on. I religiously use that product for the past 15 years. I like the fact that I rarely need to turn on my wipers. HTH!
So DD is been waking a lot At night so yesterday I told DH if she wakes up I want you to try to soothe her before I feed her. I can't tell if she is hungry or just needs soothing and to her at in the middle of night I'm only " the boobs".
He looks at me and says in a bewildered tone, "at like midnight?!?"
And I looked at him and thought:
Yes motherfucker possibly at midnight. Uggg i almost smacked him.
My baby is sick. Terrible cough, runny nose, just feeling lowsy. Yesterday she only had around 15 oz, and refused her baby food. I hate my baby sick, go away germs!!!!!!

This is my baby to. I feel so bad for her because I dont know what to do to make her feel better. We are both exhausted and need a long nap!

I am literally in the same situation as you. You can definitely take the class at church that is not the one where you'll be having the christening. My DH (the Catholic one) scheduled one of the classes (that's right, plural for us!) on a day he can't make it, so I have to drag my non-Catholic ass there with LO and hope I don't make a total fool out of myself in front of the Priest. I offered to throw a pagan christening for LO where we dunk him in a kiddie pool, dance around a maypole, and sacrifice some goats, but MIL (the driving force behind christening) was not amused...

@etc35173, I think the actual wipers are fine, but they won't move. I scraped snow off the windshield while the car was warming up, then turned on the wipers to get the last little bit off. The wipers went up and stopped and now won't go down! DH thinks a circuit might have blown in the car or something. Fun times.

They want me to do the same here in Mexico. ..2 days of classes. Brutal. I feel your pain!
LO was up a bunch between 230A and now, 530A, and she stayed up late last night. I should be getting up right now but I'm bumping instead. Also I only pumped 10 oz at work yesterday, I was getting 15 oz wed and third last week, so there goes some of my tiny freezer stash. Oh and SIL arrives on Friday to stay with us for a week and my house is a mess.
@mommyames2 I'm sorry you LO is sick, I hate feeling like thers nothing you can do to help.

This was us until midnight. For a baby that fusses more than cries, he's full on screaming during this sleep regression business. He calms down for and sleeps maybe half an hour at a time, and he slept a longish stretch after he finally went down, but holy crap the screaming that's happening over here.
I went to a doctor in May 2012 for a physical (and to get a new perscription of BC). With my insurance at the time all preventative stuff was covered at 100%. Then I sheet a statement from my insurance that list $485 as my responsibility to pay from lab work the doctor ran. I call the lab. They say the doctor didn't code it has preventative so they can't. But they tell me the doctor can change it. So I call the doctor and she says no this is how she always codes it. I tell her to change it and use the code the lab provided because I am not going to pay $485 that my insurance should pay. (I also complained because this whole thing came up because she likes to run extra tests without checking if I wanted them). It's now 2014 and I have changed insurance, changed doctors and moved. And guess what, I just got a bill from the lab for $485. Arg!
Add me to the tired club. We finally had 1 of the MOTN feeds weaned to nothing and then he gets a cold. Ughhhh. Now he's up at 430, crying, doesn't want to eat, but can't go back to sleep. Did I mention my toddler has a 103 fever so we are all stuck at home all day? Oh this is gonna be a fun day.
@rfrazier611 and @JaymeMac - I am seriously hoping it is not a multiple day thing. DH is not active in the church anymore, so I also have to find a church as well and do all this coordination. Add to the fact I work nights, and we can only do this on Thur or Fri, I am sure this is going to be more work than I really want to put in...I just want to show up and get her christened, then party...LOL
Add me to the little sleep club. LO started her 5th leap today, and decided to celebrate at 7:30....lately she has been sleeping till about 9-9:30a...which is ok with me...I am seriously considering moving her to her own crib, I am just worried that since she wont sleep through the night at all, I will be up in her room over and over and over again...Momma dont need that. At least cosleeping, we get better sleep
Spent all weekend cleaning and getting house things done. Get DS to sleep and then it's off to pay bills, balance the check book, and get tax stuff started/organized. What is DH doing? Playing the PS3 and gets irritated when I call him into the dining room to go over some tax questions with him (from the CPA) and to give him his new debit card that I activated for him. After all this it's time for bed while he goes back to PS3. Ummm DH a THANK YOU would have been nice. I know it's so hard and all to say but I so enjoy giving up my evenings for school work and bill paying while you play your games!
Oh and, went to get the car warned up to run to Target since there are 3 diapers left in the house. Then remembered my keys are in the glove box of the locked car from Saturday when DH and I both brought our keys out (still don't remember why).

Target's having an awesome free gift card diaper deal! Make sure you check it out once you get there!

The dude just went down for a nap without a peep for the first time in MONTHS. I hereby retract my bitch and all past bitches.

If you aren't already planning it, check out the winter coat clearance rack. I used the last $15 free gift card to get LO's winter coat for next year and got one for 50% off and only paid about $2 after the gift card.
While grocery shopping yesterday I asked MH to grab me a gallon of chocolate milk. Last night I'm craving a huge glass, I open up the gallon, pour myself a drink and immediately notice the color and consistency is off. What did he grab?
CHOCO-DRINK!!! WTF?!?! Who buys this sh!t?! Chocolate flavored water?!
My reaction:
Anyone know if Walmart Neighborhood will take it back even if its open?
