I need help - I can't figure out what color curtains to get. The wall color is light-medium grey and definitely has a light purple tint to it. Crib furniture is mostly white with some chocolate trim and here is the bedding (this is not our room). Any ideas?
Something yellow would compliment the purple tones in the wall color, maybe in a fun print. You can find curtains in all types of patterns on Etsy.

@kinipela7 Looooove the rainbow colors! I am no Martha Stewart but I think you could pull any of the bright colors from the bedding for the curtains.
Okay, I need rug opinions. This is our bedding set:
To compliment this, which rug do you like better? This one? (I like that this pulls all the colors from the bedding, but I'm worried it might look a little to busy?)
Or this one? (it would be in the Navy color, because the size we need doesn't come in some of the other options shown. The trim on the bedding is a dark teal, not navy, so it wouldn't match really, but would bring in some of the darker tones from the bedding-ish)?
Crib, dresser and bookshelf are all put together. DH's aunt has become replacement grandma for us due to loss of MIL and is sewing all the bedding for little Murphy (makes my heart melt, she is so awesome). The first fabric is going to be the comforter, the 2nd and 3rd are sheets and pillows, the last will be the curtains.
We have white walls now but soon they will be grey with the white birch trees painted on them (I stole that pic from the interwebs), but we are waiting for my artist mom to come visit for the painting to begin.
Yay! I am pretty excited!
Everyone's rooms look awesome btw and I can't wait to see all the finished products!
@takemeaway55 I bought it off of Amazon, but the brand is SoCaLo and it's the Surie pattern.
I'm feeling the same way. I'm not in love with either option, but I haven't found anything that really works. Guess I'll keep looking, but I'm not sure where else to really look. Anyone know of any places to get rugs that might match for a decent price? I need 4'x6' size (or around there), which has been difficult to find in all the options.
It's slowly coming together :-) haven't hung any decor yet... Waiting to see what we get at our upcoming baby showers before I decide where to finally leave everything. But I'm happy how it is looking so far. :-)
The pictures make the green walls more lime-y than they really are, and the orange isn't so yellow-y. But you get the idea. :-)
Her bed is ready! My DH made the growth chart, and we ordered the decal online. DH and FIL also made the closet organizer, thanks to an idea from pinterest.
@elsa1688 and @krystaj Ya'll rock! Thanks for sharing that!!! We inherited an adorable yellow armchair from my grandparents and I am planning to use it, but was bummed that it wasn't a rocker or glider. So now I'll assign DH a project and he can MAKE it a glider! CA-CHING!
Okay...since my previous rug is now $175 instead of the $70 it was supposed to be...what do you guys think of this one? It's more patterned than I would have liked, but I seriously can't find anything else with the right tone of blue. This one is only $60.
Kristalyn85 is it weird I'm jealous of the organization of a newborn's closet? Because that is freaking awesome!
No new changes in our room... still waiting for it to be painted. My mom/husband doesn't want ME to do it, but I so already would have been done by now. Grr.
@katekat871 I'd say do it anyway, but I don't want you to regret it by being all kinds of sore afterward. I can only imagine how much you'd hurt when it's done. I know how bad I hurt after non-pregnant painting of DD's room and our room.
That's what I'm thinking. I know I'll regret doing it, and then have to hear their bitching about i afterwards, ugh! I think my mom and her friend are going to come paint it next week. I'm just having serious nursery envy haha!
We still don't have any thing on the walls, or curtains hung up but at least it is starting to come together...

I think the navy rug is better out of the 2, but I don't think it's the perfect match.
but we you have to order them in bulk on that site so we ordered from this site: https://www.fabricworm.com/jaycyndesigns.html
My mom has helped us out a ton, she is an interior designer and DH and I are design impaired
