My home state is NC so biscuits for all (the only good ones I can get up here in CT are my own homemade) and Eastern NC vinegar based barbecue.
I lived in Eastern NC for four years, my dad still lives there and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the BBQ! It's the best! White swan and Smithfield's can't be beat :-) can you bring some hushpuppies too? Now I'm having withdrawals, lol.
I'm from WI so I guess I can go with the typical beer and cheese? How about some Leinenkugal's and fresh cheese curds! Woot!
My family is all over Jersey so I've learned to just say both cause they look at me like I'm crazy haha. Taylor Ham is the BEST food ever. Oh what I would do for a Taylor Ham sandwich. They sell it here in FL at BJs in Clermont which is 50 miles from me it's worth it to me but DH doesnt know what Taylor Ham is so he thinks I'm a little crazy t want to drive 50 miles for Taylor Ham and a membership. Theres so much I could buy there though. Lol. But I'd definitely by two or three Taylor Hams. Haha
Hot fudge sundaes, chews and pastries. My hometown has the best food and desserts. Disney wanted to buy the ice cream shop but they refused preferring to keep it a local family business. It is amazing.

I'm from the Buffalo NY area so I'd have to bring chicken wings!!!! They are the best and you can't get them as good anywhere else!! Oh and beef on weck is a Buffalo favorite, soooo good! I also make a mean chicken wing dip!!
I grew up in Jersey and miss the bagels and pizza. Live in Atlanta now and all they have are rolls with holes and doughy crap they call pizza. I guess being down here now I'd bring biscuits, grits, and maybe broccoli slaw.
Living in the LA area it really is a melting pot of every type of ethnic food you can think of. So I guess I would go very LA specific and just bring the Super Dodger Dog (its an all beef vs the regular one), the Doyer Dog (nacho cheese, chili, pico de gallo and jalapeños), and I guess I could swing by the In N Out across the street and pick up half regular style and half animal style. Sorry but I'd have to leave the protein style behind. A Real burger is never wrapped in lettuce!
Also from WA state, so I second bringing some fresh salmon! How about some fresh fish and chips? (I want this now for lunch, mmmmm) I'm in SW WA, so very close to Portland. We've got tons of amazing brewpubs. I'll bring some good beer and Voodoo doughnuts!

Yes please bring the voodoo doughnuts! I request the bacon maple bar!
New England clam chowdah from captain Parker's on cape cod. And some Sam Adams brewskis. Lol
Ditto. From Boston so other than ^^^ what else do we have? Beans?? Yuck. I'll just grab some more lobstahs
Yeah I was going to say beans but I don't need the uncomfortable gas that comes with them. Plus very unappetizing at this time. You could grab some harpoon beer. Love the Celtic ale

Oh man... What I wouldn't do for some NY bagels and cheesecake right now.... Yummy! In true Maritime Canadian fashion I'd bring some lobster, blueberries, and poutine to the party. I've had lobster twice in the last two weeks and it is SO sweet 'n' tasty this season (that or being pregnant makes it extra delicious, either way those sea spiders had a party on my taste buds)
From where I live, definitely cheesesteak and Tastykakes.
i'll bring the soft pretzels

I don't know if it was taken already, but I'd bring some real pizza. (Not that Papa Johns/Dominoes garbage) and maybe some salt and vinegar boardwalk fries or saltwater taffy. Some good hard rolls for lunch, to go along with the bagels for breakfast.
Edit: Read the whole thread, of course pizza was taken because it's amazing. Forgot about the pork roll/taylor ham (Central Jersey Shore area - either one goes) I'd take you all to a diner at 2 am for anything you could want. I'd go for the cheese fries myself. I dare you to find more, or better, diners.
Edit 2: @supgabs What's "hotdish"? Is that like a casserole?
I grew up in Indiana so if I was brining a native dish, it'd be a Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwich. @jmar2011, corn is an Indiana thing too but the BPT sandwich is also very popular.
Now that I'm in Iowa, I'd be brining any type of food you can put on a stick and loose meat sandwiches (Maid-Rite). Pork Tenderloins and Corn are big here too but I'll leave those for Indiana.

Oh my gosh you guys, I'm so hungry after reading this thread!
I'm a Pittsburgh gal, so I'll bring homemade pierogies and some chipped ham BBQ. Oh and Primanti's sandwiches for everyone!
I worked with a girl that moved from the Pittsburgh area to the west coast. Pierogies and Primanti's sandwisches are all I would ever hear about. One day, I will have one of those sandwiches! In So Cal, so either fish tacos and tamales or some fresh citrus from the groves near my house.
DH went to college in Pittsburgh. One homecoming weekend we went out and I tried one of the sandwiches. They were pretty awesome!
I split my time between home base in Dallas and school in Austin, sO:
Corn dogs and fried oreos from the state fair
Bar-b-que from Franklins
Kolaches from West, Tx
Tamales (authentic) and handmade tortillas
@lalala8 I would be the jerk who eats all the breakfast tacos!
@shineoncrazy
I'm a total tortilla snob! Have to be freshly made.
And isn't Franklin's completely worth the hype? We've waited in that crazy line twice. Really, it's the best brisket I can recall eating.
YAY for other Texans! I've only had Franklins leftovers at this point, but sometime in the next month I plan to stand in line. If you're ever in Austin, we can be line buddies!
I'm totally craving tortillas this trimester, but I'm having trouble finding the best fresh ones. Nothing is hitting the spot right now!
Re: J14 Potluck!
I'm bringing glazed donuts (from our Amish neighbor) and cider...
Then switching things up with some steak salad topped w cheese & fries.
Now I'm hungry!
Edit - Missing words!
I'm so hungry now!!!
