My kid has had a fever off and on now since last night. She is acting fine so I'm just going to give her tylenol and lots of water and hope she gets through Christmas

Drinking coffee, should be emptying and restocking the dishwasher. And throwing in some towels. DS is still sleeping, and DH just took off for the gym. When he gets back I'm running to wegmans for a few last minute items, also probably target and the ups store (ugh!). DH's father lives in SC and they are somewhat estranged, but not enough to not send something. But just enough for DH to put it off and put it off until the last minute and then not really care if it arrives on time, so whatever. I'm stuffing DH's stocking this year with his favorites....fancy cheeses and meats.

Today will be my last day of quiet and sanity. I am at work (one of the few) and DH is home with DS. Tomorrow my house will be filled with all the people and all of the toys!!

I have to complain. My parents and their dog are driving me nuts. Why the hell is their dog here?! And my MIL's constant guilt trip about going to DH's aunt's house tonight wore us down, so we'll be going and leaving my parents at home, even though neither of us want to go. Then, we'll be with DH's family tomorrow for dinner (my parents will join us for this). THEN, on Friday, we have to go to the other side of DH's family's Christmas thing. THEN, on Saturday, Christmas with DH's immediate family only because BIL and SiL will finally be back in town. Jesus fuck.

I'll try to balance this out with some non-complaining. I'm pretty excited for DS to see his gifts. He's so cute and was in bed this morning yelling, "Santa, Santa, ho, ho, ho!!"

Aww @pobrecita, I am so sorry. Can you guys reschedule and do a little something this weekend? My family all comes over tomorrow night, but those of us that really like each other have a secret Christmas dinner on Saturday where we exchange gifts. It is so much more enjoyable.
