I'm a recovery room nurse, and my patient woke up, looked at me and said "you are with child" and went back to sleep :-) then when he woke up again, found out his daughter is currently in labor(1wk late, induced last night). We kept getting updates about how dilated she was. So fun :-) it's her first, she's having a boy just like me. Poor thing was only 3cm dilated
by the time he went home. It was fun to be a part of it for a little while though!

For the 5 and ups, the kid version of Apples to Apples is super duper fun and more focused on thinking/talking/laughing than watching someone get across a board. I'm super stumped as to a game a 2 or 3 year old would enjoy with a 9 or 11 year old. Thank goodness there is a learning curve for first time moms.

Well... depending on supervision re: eating the chips, I guess. DD was never really a eater of trinkety things.

Awake at 3:30
Made cookies at 5:30 (because I was awake, why not?)
Threw up at 6:45 (no, I hadn't eaten a cookie but if I had I could've said I tossed my cookies...)
Program meeting at 7:30 (I arrived at 7:27) but OH WAIT the board didn't show up so the meeting got cancelled

I loved Clue Jr when I was a kid. Apples to Apples is a fun game no matter what age, so that is a game that could definitely grow with the family.

On a semi-related note: DH and I loved Cards Against Humanity so I signed him up for this 12 days of Christmas presents from them for $12. The first two days were funny cards, but yesterday it was a teeny tiny baggie of coal. The look on his face was just PRICELESS!!! Plus, it took him a good 5 mins to figure out it was actually coal and not some random stone. He then turns to me in this sad boy voice and says "why would they give me coal??". It was way too much fun

My husband just called to tell me that the salesman from Comcast called him to say that he re-instated our account and set an appointment for a tech to be here on Saturday to hook everything back up. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! I'm on the phone with Comcast right now filing a complaint against this asshole. I also left him a voicemail saying if he ever calls or shows up again, I will be calling the police. Not sure what about, but WTF is this guys problem? I can't even think right now, I'm shaking so bad.

Ok, I made a baby quilt that is purples with black, white, and gray. My mom thinks black is too harsh for a baby nursery, but it's cute and girly with butterflies. Thoughts? Is black too much?

Fx that everything goes well and appointment calms your jitters! I love the feeling after appointments, makes me feel like I can breathe and sleep better but than it sneaks back up! So positive thoughts coming your way

I hate Amazon sellers who don't provide tracking information. How am I supposed to adequately stalk my package until it arrives on my doorstep?

Plus my local post office sucks! If they don't deliver a package because we aren't home, they don't leave a notice saying they attempted delivery.  So my tracking is all I have!!!

Thanks ladies! I loved it, but when she said that I started to second guess myself.
Don't be fooled into thinking I'm a pro... The pattern is super fast and easy. I bought the fabric yesterday after finishing the first quilt i ended up hating and made that one in less than a day... I can't get invested in a big amazing quilt just to have it pooped on by a baby.
