Early FFC: I've only read to this baby once. I do plan on reading to him/her once they're born. I have no books yet though :-SS I plan on going to the flea market and checking out their book section this weekend.
Yeah, I don't read to LO in utero. *shrug*

I figure reading out loud and doing speech-language therapy with my students counts because she can hear me... I may start telling to kiddos at school to "read to the baby". @thelibrarylady I love the name!
  • I'm enjoying the snark in this article about 5 Annoying Things Parents Say to People Who Don't Have Kids :-)

The comments make me want to bash my head in.
Yes...yes they do. I think comments on articles always make me want to bash my head in!

  • Also wine-a-Ritas are huge here. Restaurants literally have slushie machines filled with wine based margaritas. So yummy.

What?? Where is this magic land that you speak of? I must plan a visit!

  • Yes, we should all save our shits @mamrotu73‌! Loose stools are a total sign you're in labor. In fact, I think we should all go to the hospital, we've been far too regular.

OMG GUYS, SERIOUSLY. I'm not sure if I got up in the middle of the night and lost my mucus plug or it was just a dream!! It seemed so real and I know what those bastards look like. I'm 35 weeks and it's almost go time, so it's likely it happened, but then also likely that it's just on my mind a lot. Wtf, how do I not know?? We obviously spend WAY WAY WAY too much time on here talking about fucking mucus plugs!!!
lol but the great thing is that you really don't need to know since it doesn't really mean anything other than your vag sneezed a huge booger!

No, it MUST mean I'm in labor but don't feel any contractions. I better go to L&D. I saved it, so I can show everyone at the hospital to confirm!
Should we be saving our poops, too?! Oh noes! I flushed mine all!
    Dang it!!
I was trying to link the youtube video of the song from scrubs "everything comes down to poo" But it wont work!! So here's this in stead

  • My nerves are shot from not knowing what is going on with my body or when this baby will come. I have my doctor appt today to re-check me after being on bed rest all week. I'm stressed the dr will tell me to head over to the hospital. Can't decide if I should bring my hospital stuff or just hope for the best.

how far is dr house and hospital (mine are all in a 10 min radius) if it is close by I say hope for the best, if its a drive, I say take it just in case. I hope they either take you off bed rest or that you get to meet your LO.

  • OK, dumb question. How common is it for a baby that's been head down (and descended, according to my midwife) to turn breech at 36, almost 37 weeks? Dr. Google wasn't much help. But, I felt hiccups in my upper abdomen, instead of lower like usual!

One of my friends from my old BMB just gave birth to a daughter who was head down for almost two months, including at her 37 week appointment. Three days later after said appointment, she went into labor naturally and had an emergency c-section since her daughter turned breech in those few days. Her doctor said they were surprised, but it's not unheard of.
Yea. That's what I figured. I guess I'll find out at my 38 week appointment. LOL :-) I'm not going to worry about it though. It is what it is!

If you bring it then they will just send you right back home....if you don't then they will keep you.

Isn't that how it always works?!

I hope you can go back home and keep cooking a little longer without much trouble.

Hahaha that is exactly what will happen.

I ended up bringing everything except the car seat. Planning on installing it today if I go home. Thanks! In the waiting room now!

Woke up and ugly cried this morning. Only got a couple of crappy hrs of sleep and woke up to my damn dog freaking out bc he had to go out and then because the battery alert on one of the damn smoke detectors was going off. DH of course was oblivious until about an hour later, after I'd already dragged myself out of the house so the dog could go, when he very got up in a very pissy manner to take the battery out. Now I'm exhausted and fed up, everything hurts and he's going back to bed making cracks about putting the dog on Craigslist while I now have to get everything ready and take DSS to school. I need sleep and a DH that realizes how much more help I need now and will need very very soon.
This deserves a throat punch like none other.

I officially NEED chocolate chip pancakes after everyone's descriptions of their delicious breakfasts.

I've been wanting to go out for breakfast for weeks but everyone around me wants to "limit eating out" to "be healthy" and "lose weight."
I don't comprehend those concepts. I want biscuits w/ gravy, pancakes, and a fat burger.

I'm so sick of chicken and salad every night with DH, I could cry.
Yep! All the people around me are eating healthier "for lent" or just in general and I just want ALL the junk.
