I'm curious for examples of this. I mean, I can obviously think of that UO last week in May's board about the woman who said she'd rather die with baby than have a c-section. But that seemed pretty extreme to me. Are there other instances you can point out?
I can think of a few examples, but I just kind of mean in general.  I have a few friends on Facebook with children who constantly post about how God is the most important thing in their lives.  Maybe this is more of a FFFC, but I find it hard not to shake my head and think, "Shouldn't your son be the most important thing in your life?"

Although, you could most certainly extrapolate this to more head-shaking scenarios - like the parents from my hometown with a diabetic daughter. She died because "mom" and "dad" chose to pray for her health instead of seeking medical care for a very treatable condition.

^ In this case though, I'm sure it's not an unpopular opinion.

I have found over the years that I am HIGHLY allergic to baby dust. It makes me sneeze, cough, and roll my eyes. Thank god they were all out at my REs office, lol!

I hate when people say "Oh it's too early. That's just bloat." Everyone and every pregnancy is different. Even if it is just bloat and my organs shifting around to make space, that's my baby bump dammit! It's there because I'm pregnant! Just let me enjoy it!

You'll like this then- I found it today. Not bloat, just looose muscles rounding out! Who knew we second time moms were so loose?  :/

The explanation for the bold belly growth with a second child is that a first time mom has better muscle tone in her uterine and abdominal muscles. After each pregnancy, the skin, muscles, and surrounding ligaments have been stretched, so when the pregnancy hormones kick in, they take their round shape earlier on. The Mayo Clinic’s Guide to Pregnancy describes it, “Like a balloon that’s easier to blow up the second time around : ” It has nothing to do with having a bigger baby per se (at 12 weeks, a baby still weighs under an ounce, so she’s not the culprit). The looser muscles of the expanding uterus and abdomen just let everything out sooner. On the high side, even though many second-time moms feel bigger earlier on, the growth tends to level out as the pregnancy progresses.

Oh FFS! I'm not a saggy balloon! I knew I didn't buy that book for a reason...

I think people that don't return shopping carts to the corrals in parking lots are assholes.  It takes all of a minute at most to walk it over there, so there's no excuse to not do it.  Every time I see someone walk away from a shopping cart, I feel like hurtling one towards their car as they leave and just say "oh I'm sorry, I assumed that's what you wanted because you left your cart in the parking lot to hit other cars, so I figured you probably liked them hitting yours too"
    I hope this isn't unpopular.

Sadly, you're probably right.  The lack of common sense a lot of people have is astounding. (FTR, it's also one of my pet peeves).

This drives me insane. I once watched a lady in a gigantic Mercedes leave her cart directly behind someone else's car. I don't condone people leaving them in the middle of spaces, but this was just mean!

My grocery store doesn't let you take carts out. They load your car for you. No tips accepted! I love it.
  • This is definitely not an UO, but I hate when people double park.  One time when I was in college, there was a shitty BMW Z4 parked in FOUR spaces.  It was totally beat up, the convertible top was peeling, the paint was chipped, etc, so why they needed 4 spaces is beyond me.  Also, they left their window halfway down, and I may or may not have dumped an entire bottle of water on their cloth drivers seat...

im guilty of this. sometimes when you have a toddler you have to do things that make you angry lol.
especially in the rain when your kid wont wear a coat.
because you cant leave your kid alone in the car...

Maybe I'm in the wrong then. I will always return the cart even if it means DD is in the car for 5 seconds while I run it to the return. However, I do my errands early in the morning so I can usually just park next to the cart return.

This might be another UO of mine, too.. when people assume first timers don't know anything. Or can't have opinions.   It's one thing to say "I won't ever let my kid watch tv before 3!!" or "I won't let my kid have fast food until they're 6!!" I won't say those things. Ever.  I'm not naive.  I will ALWAYS return carts to where they belong.  No matter how old my kid is, how many I have, what the weather is like...  it's the thing to do.  You just do it.  Otherwise, you risk hitting someones car.  And if someone EVER did that and my car was damaged because of them, I'd be spitting freaking nails.
I wasnt assuming you know nothing but its one thing to say you'll let your kid get wet and cold before they are here just to return a cart, but its another to actually do it, but we all do what we think is right. and someone's car 100 feet away isnt worth it to me, i always park far away because i cant park like at all.  and there are no cart returns at the back of a parking lot.

    And preggers.
    ... and I'm with ya.
Ehh, I used to get annoyed by rainbow babies, but I just eventually gave in (just used the term on my intro to PGAL...). Baby dust is really annoying, BD is even more annoying, and preggers is like scratching a chalkboard. I also used to refuse to use TB acronyms because I thought they were just a way to by lazy! Not anymore!
