Hi
I'm a very young mom and I'm very scared for labor. I've had a good pregnancy no problems or anything but it's making me nervous thinking about it. I'm pretty tiny so I feel like labor is going to be torture either way. I will most likely do an epidural to help but if anyone has any advice for me a first time mom to calm my fears that would be great!
Re: Scared for labor
A nurse recommended signing up for natural childbirth classes in order to learn some techniques to manage pain before the epidural. We're just going with the hospital's standard Prepared Childbirth class, though.

Also in regards to being "tiny"...I did read that the pelvis size is roughly the same for all women. So just because I'm 5'10 and you're, 5'2 for example, doesn't mean that I have very much of an advantage as our pelvis' are the same size. So, don't let being petite scare you any more.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
