September TWW/Beta Testers!

edited September 2016 in Infertility
I was shocked to see that no one made a September beta thread yet!  So here we go!

It has been 4 months since my last TWW so I am very excited to be able to be an active participant and not just a lurker of these threads!  My FET is scheduled for September 16th and beta will be the 26th!  I thought this could be a good place for us to hang out while we wait, and support each other!

Anyone else have betas in September?  I'll go ahead and start another lovely Google doc tracker! :)

Edited to add link to tracker: September TWW/Beta Testers (follow the link to add/edit your data!)

I'm hoping to test this month after a months-long break, as well! I have an ultrasound tomorrow and FX I can trigger tomorrow night or Thursday, which would mean testing on 9/21 or 9/22. I started this cycle with Clomid and had no response, so I went right to Letrozole for 5 days - not feeling especially optimistic. We'll see!
    Me: 33, PCOS with anovulation
    DH: 36, No known issues
    TTC since 11/2014

    Oct-Dec 2015: Letrozole 5mg, Ovidrel, TI = BFN x 2
    Feb-May 2016: Letrozole 5mg, Ovidrel, TI, Prometrium = BFN x 3
August 2016: Clomid 100mg no response, Letrozole 5mg, Ovidrel, TI, Prometrium = BFN

@wifeinraleigh28 Thanks for starting the thread! I'm kind of shy about starting anything...I had IUI#1 8/30 and am tentatively planning on POAS around 9/11. I don't have a beta unless I get a positive at home, so here's hoping! They told me to test on CD35, but that would be 22dpiui and I don't think I'll manage to wait that long! FX for everyone, hoping for lots of BFPs.

Hello! I just added my name to the tracker. Thank you for getting it started, @wifeinraleigh28!

Long story short for those who can't see the signature, I have had five losses, no living children. Have been TTC since early 2013. Did not have problems with conception until we found the right specialist to help us with the RPL. (Life is cruel/hilarious.) Our second IUI will be on Friday and a beta test will follow approx. 12 days later. In our timed cycles and previous IUI, I POAS at home the morning before beta results so DH and I knew together before work.

Hopeful for all of us that we find our success soon!

    Me: 40, DH: 35 / Married: 2009; TTC #1: 2013

    2013 - 2015: 5 pregnancies —> 5 miscarriages

I always wait until my beta, but this time I think I'm going to POAS early. I don't get my beta results until 15dp5dt, which to me is cruel and unusual punishment. If I'm not pregnant, I want to get back into my workout and jogging routines asap. Bleh, there never is a good solution to the 2ww
  • Options
I agree @FatPony Seems like no ones 2ww is actually 2 weeks!  That is just wrong!  I don't think I could wait that long either.  I am lucky. I think I will be able to hold out, mine is just 9 days total.  Currently hoping all hunger pangs and gas cramps are actually symptoms not just the fact I haven't eaten all day and I am on meds that are wreaking havoc on my digestive system.

    I slipped my info in!

We had our fourth IUI with oral stims on 9/1. I'm hoping to hold out until my beta on 9/15, but likely I'll crack and take an hpt before then. Like I always do.

    Fx for everyone!

@bells52000 Welcome to my 3rd tracker!  Haha

@LizzieJ13 Glad to hear that the letrozole did the trick for you and you are in it this cycle!!  Congrats!

@FatPony That is just too cruel to make you wait that long.  They won't listen to you if you ask to move up your beta?  My clinic does betas 10dp5dt.

@mrsdaddario Each day is dragging... luckily, I work this weekend (I've never said those words together before :p  )  so it will help pass the time.

What have you been doing to keep busy?

I've been looking at horses for sale on a local facebook group wondering if I should just buy a horse and give up on having children :)  I haven't bought one because I know as soon as I do, I'll get pregnant and not be able to ride.... So MAYBE I should just buy one....

@LeFemmeViolette Yay! another equestrian! You should do it; I put it off for a year because of the "but soon I'll be pregnant" logic... I started riding again in March (6 months ago now!) and I'm so glad I did. It's given me a place to unwind, relieve some tension, make new friends, exercise, and escape from the constant reminder of IF. When I'm riding, I can't worry about anything else, and it's so good for me.

PS I love your username; Violette is my #1 middle name choice.

@ReesaAnne16 I agree, the weekdays drag the most! I'm going to an amusement park today for my autistic BIL, I don't do rides but at least it'll be a distraction. It's always fun to watch his enjoyment. I've just been trying to keep myself away from Google lol!

@ReesaAnne16 - that's exactly what I did in 2014! I bought a foal in October and then was pregnant in January. I just sold him actually. Anyway, I have an old plug mare since she was born (she's 24), my childhood horse. I rode her (trail) throughout my pregnancy, and my friend rode until she gave birth too. So if you have a good horse, it's not impossible :)

    Hi everyone!
I'm not sure where this belongs for posting or what I'm even looking for.  I've been on the board before for previous unsuccessful IVF cycles and recently went through IVF#4.  Things looked great...I have only one ovary and had 17!!! follicles that were growing appropriately.  I had bloodwork and U/S every other day for the past week and a half and everything was moving along according to plan with an estimated retrieval date of Monday.  I went for my U/S check yesterday and all the follicles looked like they had grown appropriately but my bloodwork came back and it appears that in spite of my Cetrotride that I ovulated through the Cetrotide.  While this news was disappointing, I'm used to disappointment...it kind of gets worse.  My hubby came home from a short trip on Thursday and we did the baby dance.  I've never prematurely ovulated during IVF before and my RE has never told me that we couldn't....
So now it turns out that I have at least ten eggs (likely more) that were almost ripe for retrieval that have potentially been released with my husbands's sperm...which is quite motile.  Needless to say, I'm pretty scared.

So I guess I'm here for my two week wait...of course hoping for great news but also hoping for safe news.

Good luck to everyone waiting on betas today!

@radmom27  I've never done IVF, but I thought there needed to be a strong trigger for all of those follicles to release eggs (maybe I'm wrong?) without a trigger, one or 2 will develop into dominant follicles and release eggs.

GL this cycle! I know a women who got pregnant this way; a natural BFP during her IVF stims (I'm pretty sure it was a singleton :) )

Your story is awesome! I'm so tempted to buy myself a horse again. I sold mine when I went to college, and we just finished paying off my student loans so I feel like it's time again

@ReesaAnne16 My RE told me that anything that was mature could have potentially been released. gulp.  I'm just going to hope for the best.

@wifeinraleigh28 I was so upset when I talked to my RE today that I didn't make a plan for a beta but I would expect that I'll probably go in for a beta a week from Monday (9/19) but I'm sure I'll try to POAS before.  I took an hCG trigger last night though in case ovulation hadn't occurred so I'll have to try to wait and test it out.
