Hi Ladies!! I really appreciate all of the support. Thank you. So I have some updates. Yesterday I had my follow up appointment with another new OB doctor. She was so thorough, I loved her. She was shocked at how much had fallen through the cracks with my care. I have switched so she is now my doctor! My cervix was measured again, and it continues to shorten. It is now 2.23 cm and showing some funneling (internal dilation). Externally, my cervix is still closed. She said she does not want me going any shorter than this! She has taken me off of work for the remainder of my pregnancy and placed me on "modified bedrest." She doesn't want me up on my feet all day, but she also does not want me in bed all day. I am to be taking 20mg of Nifedipine every 6 hours, likely through 32-34 weeks, to help stop the contractions. The goal is to stop them altogether for now. I've also been prescribed nightly Progesterone vaginal suppositories to help stop my cervix from shortening even more. My focus now is to keep these babies in as long as possible! And rest, rest, rest. I'm 24 weeks exactly today, so the first goal is to get to 28 weeks. After that, the goal will be to make it two more weeks each time. Although it is still scary and stressful, I feel much better knowing that we now have a plan and I am in good hands. I have also been referred to a high risk doctor. I should be hearing from them soon to set up an appt. They will meet with me and do a thorough check and decide if they want to continue to see me or if I am fine with just a regular OB. I have to say that I feel 100 times more comfortable with my new doctor. Such a relief!
This makes me SO HAPPY!!! The fact that you are getting better care! My prayers are with you that you don't continue to dilate. I'll keep checking back to see how you are progressing each week. Stay strong momma!

I told him HE MUST make a sperm deposit this week I can't keep going through this, other wise I'm looking into sperm donors...and that didn't go over too well. It's the fact that I was so close and short a few hrs...id really need a miracle here!!! I kno I would love twins but I have to be thrilled be blessed with one too.

Today is day 8 of stims, and I had a ultrasound this morning. I started out with 20 follicles this cycle, 8 are coming along nicely and they think another 4-6 might catch up before my egg retrieval. They sent me home with Pregnyl for my trigger shot, and egg retrieval discharge instructions. I'm a little concerned because the discharge instructions are for "no transfer", when I've told the office three times that I want a fresh transfer if we are able to. I hope it's just an oversight, but my RE has been pushing for banking two cycles since our consultation appointment. I know my AMH and FSH were really bad going in, and I'm afraid they might have written off the possibility (even though they told me I could definitely have one if I responded well). Rationally, I know worrying about it isn't going to help anything. Maybe I'll go catch some more Pokemon to take my mind off it.
@Hopeful_mom Yes, steroids have been discussed but it is not something they want to do yet! Hoping the meds I have been prescribed will help to delay things. I agree with @LSatturo126 - have your OH make that sperm deposit!

Hi ladies its been a few days since i posted on here ive had such a rough day yesturday where i gave up cried cried all day i just dont know what to do im ready to so ivf but im just so scared of the outcome i have one chance with my own eggs and then if not success i will save for donor egg at this point i just want a baby ugh
@Hoping4Success sorry to hear you had a rough day, I can totally relate. Sometimes I hope I am not just throwing away money we could be spending on donor eggs or adoption. But at the end of the day, I know I have to do this for me, or I'll always wonder. All of the ladies here who have had success give me a lot of hope, and I hope you get to see the same successes soon.

@Hoping4Success . I'm sorry you had a bad day and I know what it's like to be let down or be scared but all I can say is... If I can get a heathy embryo with ONE low reserved ovary I think you have double the chances so the odds are much better in your favor. Hope that makes you feel somewhat better. Hi everyone! I just received the news that at age 30 my AMH is .52 so I am joining this board. I am due to start taking stims for my first IVF cycle July 29th. Crossing my fingers it works!
@Hoping4Success Not sure yet, they will get back to me in the next few days. I'm currently on BCP until the 24th, then was supposed to start stims the 29th. I'm not sure if this will change at all now due to my amh level.
AFM, I triggered last night at 11:30 am and go in for ER tomorrow morning. I'm super nervous, but also glad to get it over with. I think the nerve-racking part is just beginning, I'm going to try not to get myself worked up worrying about it.
@heather041413 GOODLUCK!!! Just remember it's quality over quantity. I had three taken out the first time with only 1 good one and six another time and got one good one. So don't stress if you don't get as many as you wanted. As long as they make it to day five and/or genetic testing. Xoxo

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. It looks like we got 9 today, and I'll find out tomorrow how many fertilized. The ER itself was not bad, and I've been a little sore today but nothing too bad. I didn't fill the tylenol + codeine prescription - mostly because codeine makes me nauseous, and I didn't want it. @LSatturo126 I'm definitely trying to keep quality over quantity in mind, you're completely right.
Sorry, I've been reading and keeping up but its hard with all the new people remembering who is doing what and when. But I'm still here thinking of you all!
As for me, I've had a high bp scare twice. The first time I was told to go to labor and delivery and was there a few hours until it went back to normal. Then Wed I went to my OB to follow up after that scare, and it was high in her office so she sent me straight to l&d and I stayed a few hours again. Yes, she could survive if she was born this early, but im not ready. I want her to stay longer to grow stronger first! . Luckily the baby is doing fine though. We are just hoping I dont have to go on bed rest bc I'm only 25 weeks. We were already having a hard time financially from the first time I was on bedrest for a month and got let go. I am really nervous bc they keep saying I'm on my way to developing pre-e. But I did get a great pic of her!!

We got the fertilization report this morning. Of the 9, only 5 were mature and only 2 fertilized. The embryologist said they "look good" and scheduled us for a 3 day transfer on Sunday. I'm feeling pretty crushed, but trying to remember that it only takes one. DH is very optimistic and keeps telling me that he is sure it will work. I hope he is right, but also hope he doesn't get crushed if it doesn't turn out the way we hope.
@heather041413 i know exactly how you're feeling. Only 2/6 eggs fertilized for me and I had a 3 day fresh transfer. How many are you planning to transfer? My DH was the same way and I remained the realistic one. But we did get lucky & im hoping the same for you! Sending sticky vibes to you this weekend!!

Hi Ladies! I went into preterm labor and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning from my high risk consult. I've been having lots of contractions and my cervix is very short now, just over 1 cm and lots of funneling. The umbilical cord is right by the opening, and the baby girl is pushing on the cervix. I'm on strict bedrest. I'll be here in the hospital until I deliver, whether it be soon, weeks from now, or months from now. Wednesday morning I was dilated 2 cm and they can feel a foot in the sac right there when checking my cervix. They're doing everything they can do to keep the babies in as long as possible. I received steroid injections to help mature the babies' lungs more quickly in the event that I deliver soon. They also loaded me up on Magnesium, Indocin and Nifedipine. Now I'm just getting the Nifedipine every four hours. Contractions seem a lot more controlled now but they had been very regular, every 1-2 minutes. I'm on the high risk L&D floor and told I will be staying here. Babies' heartrates have been having some minor decelerations with the contractions. But they are still doing good overall. I had an US last night and they are both weighing in at about 1.9 lbs currently. I'm 25 weeks and 1 day now. Let me tell you, being in the hospital and on bedrest is no fun at all. But I do want these babies to stay in as long as possible so I'd rather be here where the three of us are constantly being monitored and know the babies will be safe.

In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus... Needing an RE was a must.....IUI#1 Sept 2015,,, BFN IUI#2 Oct 2015,,,BFN IUI#3 Dec 2015,,BFN IVF#1 2/1/16- BFN IVF# on 3/29/16 retrieval only - 1 healthy chromosome tested embryo. IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo. FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! EDD 5/25/2017 Had a healthy baby girl via CSection on 5/18/17 8lbs 15oz.
@Hoping4Success I started July 1st and I'll be on them until the 24th. They planned on taking me off earlier but I'll be on vacation so they wanted to delay it until I got back.
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. It looks like we got 9 today, and I'll find out tomorrow how many fertilized. The ER itself was not bad, and I've been a little sore today but nothing too bad. I didn't fill the tylenol + codeine prescription - mostly because codeine makes me nauseous, and I didn't want it. @LSatturo126 I'm definitely trying to keep quality over quantity in mind, you're completely right.

As for me, I've had a high bp scare twice. The first time I was told to go to labor and delivery and was there a few hours until it went back to normal. Then Wed I went to my OB to follow up after that scare, and it was high in her office so she sent me straight to l&d and I stayed a few hours again. Yes, she could survive if she was born this early, but im not ready. I want her to stay longer to grow stronger first! . Luckily the baby is doing fine though. We are just hoping I dont have to go on bed rest bc I'm only 25 weeks. We were already having a hard time financially from the first time I was on bedrest for a month and got let go. I am really nervous bc they keep saying I'm on my way to developing pre-e.
But I did get a great pic of her!!

Let me tell you, being in the hospital and on bedrest is no fun at all. But I do want these babies to stay in as long as possible so I'd rather be here where the three of us are constantly being monitored and know the babies will be safe.
