My DH said there was a troop set up at the Walgreen's in Leander. Apparently one of the little girls said "we're here all week!". They shouldn't have said that.. I may go every day!!
I thought I'd add that we have a no soliciting sign on our front door, so they don't come to our house, but I secretly suspect my dh has purchased some from the girl down the street and took them to work. He has an unhealthy relationship with thin mints.
ohhhh goodnes, I have a very unhealthy relationship with the trefoils, dosi dos, and the samoas!! I think I'm heading to the Starbucks tomorrow on my lunch hour...thanks ladies!!
Nearly every girl in my 5th grade classes are selling them. I'm trying SO hard to be good, but it's incredibly difficult when 30+ girls come up to me begging me to buy them! I want some of those caramel ones bad!
I need to get my hands on some! When I was teaching I had girl scouts in my class but they never tried to sell them to me, I had to ask! Now that I'm at home, my connection is gone.
I heard a funny this week about them: Why do they sell them in single-serving boxes???
hee. Yes, I eat a whole sleeve of thin mints at a time without noticing. I guess the boxes are actually two-serving b/c I can usually make myself stop for maybe an hour after finishing off the first sleeve.
My niece is my supplier--she delivered my yearly two boxes of Thin Mints and DH's Peanut Butter Patties and the caramelly-chocolately-coconutty ones--what are those called?

:-P
They used to be Samoas but now they are Caramel Delights....says the girl that purchased 3 boxes of them plus 1 box of thin mints...at CHURCH!
Every place I went to over the weekend there were girls outside. Just go to a major retailer or a Chuy's and you will find a troop. I hate saying no but if I say yes to them all I will gain 50 pounds and be broke. Oh how I love my Thin Mints though!
Ah, yes. This time last year - the MS had just started to kick in w/ my pregnancy. I can credit the Girl Scouts of America with nourishing my very tiny fetus (and me). Thin Mints were some of the only things I could eat - and yes, PP - for me, those boxes were single-serving.
Now that I'm BF - perhaps DD will enjoy them once again?
What I don't understand is how my neice and nephews are in every team imaginable, selling overpriced chocolate bars, overpriced wrapping paper, overpriced everything - but NO girl scouts so no cookies! I too, have to drive around looking for that lucky troop so that they can unload all their green boxes!

YES!!!!! It's like an addiction I cannot kick!! I need my fix every year around girl scout season!!
I live in NW Austin, so I'm thinking I'm going to find me a Michaels, or that Starbucks that Carlinlp was talking about and get my fix this afternoon.
I am powerless against the small sugery goodness and the sweet smiles of the girls.
