Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I’m Shannon. Joining this group a little later than most; didn’t know I was pregnant as early on as usual! This is #4 for me! So excited to be here with you all.
Due date: December 14
How you found out: We have been so busy that I wasn’t tracking my cycles like usual (we use NFP). I was so incredibly fatigued, that I realized I must be pregnant. Big fat positive when I took a test!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
my husband & I have three kids. This is my 4th pregnancy so in ways I feel experienced but our others are spaced out so this is my first time to experience “two under two”!
We homeschool and love to travel and spend time outdoors together!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? This pregnancy has been the worst for morning sickness and fatigue for me! All day and night I feel so sick. Also, not announcing it yet so I’m trying hard to act normal around friends and family lol. I’m also still breastfeeding my third so I’m struggling to get calories and rest. Really looking forward to the second trimester.
Sorry I am a little late discovering this board. I am 29 years old and pregnant with our first.
Due date: 12/30
Other children/pets: no children but we do have 2 dogs who haven't seemed to notice anything is different just yet.
Jobs: I work from home in project management. I feel very lucky because I can't imagine having to have a long commute or spend all day away with my symptoms.
How we found out: we are super planners so we have been planning to try and getting things done for the last year. We had been trying and I knew something was different. My husband was away for work so I took a test and surprised him when he got back. He was very excited.
How are you feeling? This week (week 8) my fatigue hasn't been as bad which has allowed me to do some things I neglected the last few weeks when all I wanted was to sleep. I am hungry all the time and my boobs are so sore.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I'm Philosophy, I'm 40 years old, I'm pregnant with my second baby, and I live in beautiful southern Wisconsin!
Due date: Dec. 3
How you found out: We had been trying since early 2024 and had kind of given up on having a second, but I still tested once a month just out of pure hope, and sure enough, in early March I tested again and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm a technical writer at a software company, although I'm thinking about changing careers after this baby is here. My husband was a SAHD but now works part-time at a university. We have one older child, who is nine and the light of our lives! We had long planned to be one-and-done, but last year both my husband and I started itching for another baby. Our older child was dismayed at first when we told them about the baby, but eventually they came around and now they are very excited to be a big sibling!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I'm okay! I had really bad morning sickness earlier in the first tri, but now that I'm 13 weeks I basically just feel tired all the time. But then, I'm 40, so maybe that's just how it feels to be 40? :P
Introduce yourself: hi! First time mama, 34 y/o, 12w2d!
Due date: Dec 10, though my NT scan today estimated Dec 6 ??
How you found out: hips and knees and, if I remember right, ankles were aaaaching a few days before period was supposed to come and that tipped me off… thinking “well that’s different.” Took a test 2 days after missed and that second line showed up immediately!
I have a lovely fiance but no pets, I love writing and I work in sports & entertainment.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Miserable! 🥴 I have Hyperemesis, so it has been a rouuuggghh 6 weeks (to say the least). If you’re also dealing with this, I would love to chat more!
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m Macy! I’m 26 y/o and so excited to be a mommy again!
Due date: 12/16/2025
How you found out: Got my IUD out in Feb., and was trying to avoid pregnancy until the summer, but in March I had a gut feeling we “messed up”. My sister texted me out of the blue saying she couldn’t wait to buy newborn stuff again, which was suspicious so I took a test and it was immediately positive! Hubby and I couldn’t believe it. Fast forward to NIPT results and we were shocked to find out our family is welcoming a sweet baby boy. Both hubby and I were shocked!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My daughter just turned 2 years old and will be exactly 2.5 when baby brother gets here! I’m a SAHM who lives in the Chicagoland area. We have two pups and a cat as well, so it’s a full house over here. We love to travel as a family and can’t wait for baby brother to complete our family.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
truthfully this pregnancy has been a cake walk in comparison to my pregnancy with my daughter, I was horribly sick with her. I do have ehlers Danlos so I do have generalized pain with this pregnancy, but I’m actively in PT to help combat a lot of my pains. If any other mom on here has EDS I would love to communicate further with you!!!
Introduce yourself: Rebecca, I'm 34 and this is my 3rd pregnancy! I live in Toronto, Canada.
Due date: Dec 4th/2025
How you found out: I have an irregular cycle and was testing for ovulation and decided to test pregnancy too. it was a shock because our 2nd was only 9 months old.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have 2 sons, a 4 y/o and 1 y/o. Hoping for a girl this time because we both think this will be our last since I've had c-sections they don't recommend more than 4 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm a SAHM and my oldest just finished his first year of school, so we're hoping to enjoy the summer break, ween the 1 y/o off bottles and pacifiers before September, and then get ready for the new baby!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I've been so sick this entire pregnancy, nausea has been through the roof. My cravings are so different and specific this time around, unlike my first 2. Just really really tired and hoping for a break sometime soon but not counting on it as I'm coming up on halfway.
Hi! A little late to the party, this is my first pregnancy and I was avoiding boards early on to keep some anxiety down haha but here we are at 22 weeks and I would love some community:)
my name is Sadie, I’m 34 and this is mine and my husband’s first baby, wheee! We are extremely excited:)
due date: Dec 5/25
I had been tracking my cycles for a couple years in preparation, and last year started trying to conceive by tracking my temperature but I was having no luck. Switched to ovulation strips and got a positive our first month using them consistently! Yay! So when I was one day late I was dying to do a test, I kept psyching myself out but it was a very solid positive:)
I work just a boring old office job, but I like it . We have a very ancient cat and two cockatiels I like to read and paint and hang out with my pets, my husband and our friends, we love a board game night !
At this point I’m feeling good but lots of heartburn, bloating and general discomfort but nothing crazy!
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Lorene and I’m 31! These will be baby number 3 and 4! I live in Tennessee!
Due date: My due date is December 22nd!
How you found out: On a girls trip with my 4 best friends! I felt awful and was talked into taking a pregnancy test!
Tell us about yourself? I have been married for 7 years to my extremely amazing husband! We have two beautiful daughters ages 4 and 1! I am a stay at home mom! We are super excited to welcome our twin girls into our adventurous and loud family. I love painting, reading, and growing a garden!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? My skin is so itchy and feels like it’s on fire at the same time. Emotionally, I’m pretty well! But I can’t smell cucumbers without gagging!
Symptoms for period came but nothing else. The test I took after to confirm turned pink super quickly
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
First baby! We have two fur babies though. One of them is super protective and the other one seems less than enthused. Hopefully she comes around.
This boy is the first grandbaby on both sides of the family so hopefully he does not get too spoiled. I work as a data analyst and prefer numbers to people. Hopefully the little one does not get that from me. My hubby is either super charming or super unwelcoming so hopefully the little one is somewhere in the middle of both of us.
We like to travel and have started talking about kid appropriate adventures for the little one. I think we are looking at taking him to the beach first. Even though neither of us are beach people. Ha ha
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
Tired! Been so so so tired throughout this whole time. And nervous. Hopefully the little one likes me!
