How did you find out?
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you!
Re: Introductions!
Due date is Oct 10
First symptoms were dry mouth and canker sores last week. Took a test and found out at 3 weeks.
Feeling hopeful and hungry 😅. This is my second pregnancy, my first was a loss. Grateful to be pregnant again. Getting blood tests this week
Fun fact: In love with antiques, thrifting, garage sales. R-euse in-fashion!
Introduce yourself: Hi mamas! My name is Laura and I’m a STM. 🥰
Due date: 10/2/25
How did you find out? We’ve been TTC for half a year now, and experienced two chemical pregnancies during that time. We are over the moon to be pregnant!!! 😍 But also cautiously optimistic given the challenges we’ve had so far. I tested with a FRER yesterday and got my BPF, so much darker than the control line! We’re feeling good, because the lines on the tests for my two chemical pregnancies were always much fainter.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I live on the coast near the ocean with my husband of 8 years and 2 year old son (DS2), who is the absolute joy of our lives. Hubby’s a civil engineer and I’m an occupational therapist. I worked for years as an orthopedic hand therapist in a hospital, but about a year ago I made the change to work from home, so now I’m a pediatric telehealth occupational therapist! And loving it! 😊 I’m also a certified yoga instructor and in my free time I enjoy doing yoga, hiking, going to the beach, swimming, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, camping, and spending time in nature.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Pregnancy confirmation appointment is next week Friday! 😁 Honestly I’ve had no obvious symptoms besides some cramping and frequent peeing. If I’m lucky it’ll stay that way as long as possible this time around! 😜 That first trimester nausea was a beast when I was pregnant with DS2 so fingers crossed this one is easier!!!
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! I married my high school sweetheart and we’ve been together since 14 and 15 years old! We got married in Disney World and go there frequently!! 😁
Due date: October 1
How did you find out: I took a few pregnancy tests a few days before my missed period.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I live with my husband in a major city where I work in marketing. I love going for long walks, visiting museums, trying new foods, and spending time with my loved ones.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): I feel so excited! My boobs have been sore and have grown already and I’m really sleepy. My first appointment is at 10 weeks.
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you!: I’m heading out on a big international trip this week, wish me luck!
Due date: Oct 3rd. (I laugh about that being international Mean Girls day).
Found out when I took a pregnancy test before my period on a whim… “my period is surely coming, let me take a test really fast and I’ll get my period for sure.” And sure enough it was positive.
This is my third pregnancy, but we’re a blended family so this makes baby number 6 😅 plus a dog. Our hands are certainly going to be full.
I’m absolutely exhausted and pretty crampy, but this is how I felt with my first two so I think all is well, although I’m anxious. I had labs last week to confirm, as if the seven tests on my counter weren’t correct, but still waiting on first appointment in about a month.
I’m terrible about fun facts about me, but I’m sure I’ll find out something to tell yall eventually.
Calculated for Oct 4 but my first sonogram is the 19th of February so who knows.
It was between the insomnia and wake spells and the discharge. My boyfriend noticed the discharge and urged me to take a test. I took one 3 days before my period and it came back positive, then again the next day during morning and it showed the line before the timer even reached half way.
This is my first pregnancy. I’ve got two dogs and a cat while I live with my parents in college. My boyfriend and I have talked about marriage and family and planning it all, but now the timing of everything is amped up significantly.
I am so seriously excited. Truth be told. I’m nervous and scared to tell my parents but know everyone will be excited to have a grandbaby or great grandbaby. Symptoms are low so far. I’ve got this mild headache that comes and goes like nausea, but I don’t feel the urge to throw up. Cravings are slowly kicking in, less sweets and more salty. Back to emotions, I’m scared to move, cause we’ll have to move for the money and support of my boyfriend’s family.
I’m coincidentally taking a college course for parenting this semester. So I hope it helps and provides guidelines and understanding as I handle parenting and motherhood.
Due date: calculated as 10/7/25, based off of my last period.
How did you find out? I’ve been extra-emotional lately and have been extra tired, so my husband thought I should probably test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a husband, two stepsons, three dogs, 6 chickens, and 2 ducks. I work from home.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First in-office OBGYN isn’t scheduled until 3/31/25 at this point— I feel like it’s too far out, especially for my first pregnancy, but it is what it is I guess. My pcp doctor suggested I go off of all of the meds I have been taking, so I’ve been struggling to work and sleep this week. Besides being super tired— I’ve also been burned out, extra emotional, boobs have been sensitive, a bit crampy, and constantly craving tacos (but unfortunately radish is on the no-go list).
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! I don’t know what is unique or interesting about me, lol.
Due date: 3 Oct 25
How did you find out? I had no PMS symptoms before my expected period, so I took the test, and it turned up positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 6yr old, almost 7 but she does not know I am pregnant. Only my husband and I know that I'm pregnant. We have an almost 16-year-old dog.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am feeling tired, nauseous and my boobs are sore. I am scared because of all the miscarriages but I am also hopeful. I have my first ultrasound scheduled for 2/10 so I'll let you all know how it goes.
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! I am an active-duty service member so being pregnant is a bit different.
Due date: 10/12/25
How did you find out? We did a pregnancy test 4dp5dt and got our first faint positive that just got stronger every day. We had our first beta test yesterday to confirm and got a strong 109.1.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My wife's name is Carlie and we have been together since we were 12 years old, so going on 21 years. We also raise her 13-year-old brother Arthur whom we have had for a couple of years. This will be our first baby! I'm a medical social worker and she's going to stay home and care for our kids :) We really enjoy scenic drives, video games, coloring, board games and enjoying life.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): Carlie has a lot of symptoms from the progesterone but she's starting to get light nausea occasionally throughout the day and even some odd food cravings that she doesn't usually enjoy. She's never ate more than one pickle at a time occasionally throughout her life but she's at four jars in three days! We will have another beta test tomorrow and then a week after that we'll have our first ultrasound and more bloodwork. We don't graduate from our fertility clinic until they get a heart beat and they'll check every week until they do - after that, we can start scheduling with the midwives.
GTKY: We did rIVF! She is currently carrying my embryo and I'll carry hers next year if everything goes to plan. We are SOOO excited! Neither of us have much family so we're joining all the communities we can to feel supported. :) Happy to be here!
Due date: Oct 7, 2025
Got myself a home test kit after I was having tingling sensation in my stomach and was gaseous for a week. Positive results in Week 4.
First time so very anxious, googling everything all the way.
We are also shifting countries, moving to Poland so lots of novelty in life coming up.
How did you find out?
This morning at 4 AM, I woke up from a dream that I was pregnant and had to use the bathroom anyway. I took a digital test, didn't look, packed it up again, and left a note for my husband saying, "Happy Birthday. Wake me up so we can check together!" When he woke me up, we checked and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself:
I’m 29 and live in Frankfurt, Germany, with my husband and our two cats. I work as an assistant in a finance company, love sports, and have a passion for photography—especially portraits and capturing emotions, which I hope to turn into a side business. I also enjoy needle pointing and antiques!
How are you feeling?
I’m beyond excited! My only symptoms so far are sore breasts (which I also get before my period) and occasional mild cramps, which I’ve read are totally normal. Today, I’ll book my first OB appointment and start looking for a midwife—quite a challenge in Germany due to the shortage.
Fun fact!
I lived in France twice and really love the country.
Happy to find this community, as there are a lot of questions I have and I want to go through with same pregnant women as myself.
I’m Katya, 32, it’s my first pregnancy, I’m on my week 6 now, due date is October 2025.
We’ve been together with my husband since we were 18 and now we decided that nothing can hold us back from expanding our family. And, to our both surprise I became pregnant from one effort.
Fun fact: before I even had a pregnancy test, I was calling him and started to cry about something that worried me. He said that my reaction was untypical and I was definitely pregnant, so I said bring test then. Later that evening we found out I was 3 weeks pregnant.
Let’s get through it together
My fiance and I have been trying to conceive for 2+ years, but found that we needed help via IVF, and started in March of 2024.
We have 2 dogs, and love to stay active… like playing tennis & platform tennis, and going to the beach.
Introduce yourself: I’m Kristen and I’m 39 and this will be our 5th 😳
Due date: October 4
How did you find out? Period was over a week late and I was getting nauseated
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This was a big surprise! We have an 18yo, and then 8, 5, 3 who were all via IVF because of PCOS. Besides the 18 yo, I never got a positive pregnancy test without IVF, and I haven’t been on birth control in 12 years. I had been on tirzepatide for 6 months for weight loss prior to getting a positive test. I work as nursing faculty at a community college and my husband is a rad tech at one of the local hospitals.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) first appointment is in 2 weeks. My ob retired last year, so I’m nervous about seeing a new one. I had HG with the last two and I’m already starting to get sick, so it’s sparking some anxiety. Also, since this wasn’t on our bingo card for life, we are also still very shocked. Our oldest is in college, it’s expensive, and we felt like we were finally getting ahead of the budget game, but now it seems we need to put some things on pause. Life though right? 🤷🏻♀️😆
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! Nothing exciting, but we enjoy traveling. We will be going on a big family cruise in April. We also really enjoy Disney, but may be a while before we go back bc it’s hard to find rooms that can do 7! I’ve also starting reading for fun again that doesn’t relate to healthcare or for work (think the cliche stuff you’ve probably seen on social media). It provides a nice distraction.
Finding out was a bit of a surprise, I didn’t feel like myself so I begged my best friend to come with me to an urgent care to see what was going on. I was so convinced that I was coming down with the flu or maybe even Covid. Turns out I was approximately 3 weeks pregnant.
I don’t have many symptoms besides round ligament pain, which is very early, and the occasional cramping. Baby has a strong heartbeat and is perfectly fine though.
I’m currently in school for radiology and I enjoy reading a lot. I’ve been trying to get back into it more because I have fallen off since I’ve been in school.
Due date: 10/18/24
How did you find out?
Took a pregnancy test a few days before my missed period, just to see. Was completely shocked and so excited to see it said pregnant!
Tell us about yourself
Grew up and studied dance my whole life. Full time dance instructor. I love being in nature, yoga and my pets! I have a puppy named Ruby and a cat named Delilah. I live on a farm with my husband. We love being active together. And I LOVE cooking. Also a health nut.
How are you feeling?
Bloody nose, breast tenderness, mild cramping. But overall I’m feeling pretty good!
GTKY: Fun fact!
Everyone says I’m a Maddie Ziegler(from dance moms) look alike
Also planning to have a home birth, and would love to connect with anyone else this is too!
I am due ~October 16th (just based on the first day of my last cycle, we haven't had our first baby appointment yet).
I've been testing a few days before my period is due for months and finally got a teeny tiny faint positive line on February 1st! I've been testing every day since and the line is now dark.
I work in Human Resources, and my husband is a Marriage and Family Therapist. We have a 6-year-old border collie. I'm a backpacker, rock climber, reader, novice painter, and meditation enthusiast. I am hoping things align so I can have a safe and active pregnancy.
I am tired and bloated as hell. I'm grateful to work from home so I can wear comfy clothes and take a nap on my lunch break.
IGTKY: Fun fact!
I took a 13-day beginner mountaineering course in September as a 'TTC Bachelorette Party' to do something big before my allowed activities change for a while. I'm so glad I did it and I can't wait to tackle more mountaineering objectives in 2026 and beyond!
I’m more than happy to offer suggestions for yoga modifications! 🙂 No backbends or any poses that compress or put pressure on your uterus. That includes anything from upward facing dog to any prone poses such as sphinx or even just laying on your belly, even very early in pregnancy (pigeon pose should be fine because it still leaves plenty of room). Twists you just want to make sure are open and not too deep of a twist; for example, if you are in high lunge, twist in the opposite direction of your forward facing foot (twist left is your right foot is forward), and you’ll notice this is an “open twist” because your abdomen won’t compress in any way. Those are the main points for how far along we are now, but looking forward we also want to be sure not to work the ab muscles in a way that could contribute to diastasis recti, including core strengthening (be sure to go from supine to sitting by rolling to the side and pushing yourself up instead of doing a sit-up). You will also want to avoid savasana in supine once your belly grows bigger, or any yoga poses in that spend a lot of time in supine because as your uterus grows in the coming months, it can put pressure on an important blood vessel when you’re lying on your back that carries blood and oxygen to baby.
If we have a lot of people here who like working out, yoga, fitness, etc, we can start doing Fit Mom Friday posts to chat about all of this more!
Due date: October 4
I had a hunch before going to a doctor's appointment and took a test I thought for sure it would be negative but it turned out it wasn't! I found out around 4 weeks.
This will be our first baby, my husband and I have married for 3 years and I work as a NICU nurse.
I'm feeling anxious and a little overwhelmed but so excited and blessed just eager to get that first appointment for sure!
Fun fact I am a twin.. We will see...everyone keeps thinking I will have twins.
> If we have a lot of people here who like working out, yoga, fitness, etc, we can start doing Fit Mom Friday posts to chat about all of this more!
I would love doing a Fit Mom Friday thread!!
I’m due with my first on Oct 13 based on my last period
We’ve been TTC for a few months and I had really sore boobs and just had a hunch! So I tested a few days before my missed period.
My husband and I have been together for 3 years, just got married in November. I got unexpectedly laid off from my job in January 😣 but already accepted a new position im excited about.
I’m feeling SO TIRED haha like many others. Also sore boobs, constant nausea, heartburn, and a terrible time sleeping so far. Any sleep hacks welcome! First appt is this coming Monday 2/17
Fun fact is we leave on 2/21 for our honeymoon to Italy! Decided to plan to go while TTC and leave it up to fate. So our nugget will be with us on our trip.
My husband and I had been trying again for a while and I got the gut feeling to take a test and sure enough it was positive!
My husband and I both work in education, he’s a teacher and I’m in the financial office. We’ve been married about a year and a half but together for almost 8 years. We have a 4 year old border collie who is not going to like sharing attention!
Due date: 10/9/25
How did you find out?-
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)-
My partner of 12yrs is a professional tattoo artist. I’m a dental assistant but I also teach yoga. We love going to concerts, have taken our daughter to many, and are very excited to possibly take her to a concert of her choice this year. We are an active family that loves to camp and travel but we don’t see Baby2 slowing us down at all. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs so the house will be very full come October.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)- I do not have a first appointment scheduled yet. I found out at my 12wk ultrasound that I miscarried last year so I want to just sit in and enjoy the news before making any appointments. Feeling very very very nauseous. I’ve been on a liquid or soft diet to help with throat pain when throwing up. Emotionally my feelings are all mixed! I just keep reminding myself this is what the whole family has been wanting and waiting for.
GTKY: I have an advanced inversion practice- handstands & forearms stands- that I plan to keep throughout my pregnancy. Of course I’ll make modifications and continue with my practice safely but I don’t plan on quitting!
Due date: October 15
How did you find out? At home tests followed by 3 beta hcgs to confirm the levels were rising/doubling as they should
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? I have 4 children, two adopted daughters 10&7 and two bio sons 5 & 4, prior to having my two bio sons I lost 6 babies due to miscarriage so technically this is my 9th pregnancy! I am a hairstylist, Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) we are very involved in our local church and love to spend time together as a family
How are you feeling? Excited & exhausted (First appointment? First sono is 2/27 at approx 7 weeks Any symptoms? Very tired with nausea on and off Emotionally?) I’m happy trusting the Lord but trying to prepare myself for people who might have a negative reaction and think we are crazy for having 5 children
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! 🤷♀️ I’m a mom that’s my life….
My husband and I got married last year but have been together 5 years. I work full time as an online mental health therapist. I love the outdoors and my newest hobby is baking. We have 2 cats and a dog and a pet snake 🐍
My DD is 10/25 which is also my birthday!
I found out last night after a week of very light brown spotting that never turned into a period. I actually tested early last week and it came out negative. When my normal flow never came I tested again and got a faint positive followed by a stronger line the next morning. TW *I had an early loss at 6 weeks a couple of years ago*
I have two beautiful daughters, 8 and 3. When I'm not hanging out with them I am either tending to my family's farm, serving wine at the tasting room I work at a couple days a week, or doing land conservation activism. My husband is a framing carpenter and just got promoted to foreman at the sustainable construction company he works for. I love to hike, read, snowboard, horseback ride, practice yoga, learn about history, and a lot of other random things.
I'm over the moon and praying that this one sticks.
A fun fact about me is that I met my husband while interning in Mexico during my undergrad. We got pregnant with our first when I was a junior in college. Since he didn't get his visa in time for the birth, I flew down to have her with him. We went back to my school after getting our papers in order and hubby watched baby while I was in class. Thanks to him and support from our little community I was able to graduate on time.
Due date: 10/23/25
How did you find out? My period was a few days late. I have fibroids so sometimes my period is weird but the week before I had 2 fish dreams. I took a test and couldn't believe my eyes. Took 2 more when hubby got home and same results.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am 42. I haven't been pregnant since 2006 when I had my first son who is in college. Me and my husband got married last year after 3.5 years together. I'm an attorney but I love to garden.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I feel fine. No symptoms. I kept feeling like my period was coming on and that feeling continues. I remember that sensation from my son.
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! I love gardening. I am getting into candle making and teas.
Due date: Oct 4th based on my cycle but adjusted to Oct 10th after bloodwork
How we found out: it was our first month trying so it was a big surprise, I was 100% sure the test would turn out negative
How are you feeling: last week I experienced some strong cramps and bleeding more than just a few spots so we rushed to the ER. They performed blood and ultrasound and we got a heartbeat! But with the bleeding they say there’s a 50-50 chance for this pregnancy - we’re trying to stay positive. Some days are harder than others. Bleeding has diminished but not completely gone yet. Went to see my primary physician yesterday and we are waiting for the results now on HCG levels.

Hey Thais! I hope the HGC levels are rising and everything is okay. We haven't told our families yet since it's so early for me and we want to make sure this one sticks, but I am dying to tell friends and family. I think in terms of telling family early it's all about personal preference and your relationship with your family. Praying that today will give you good news to be able to confirm to your family!
Due date: Oct 20, but waiting on bloodwork to confirm. Also booked for a dating ultrasound 3/11.
How did you find out? Testing regularly.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my fourth pregnancy. First was a loss, second a daughter born Jan 2021 and third another daughter born June 2023. I work in Railway Track Maintenance and Engineering. In my spare time (lunch when I work from home) I am usually quilting. About a year ago, we decided to start a sourdough starter (its name is Bill Rye the Sour Guy), I make bread a few times a week (also when working from home). DH is 33 and is a Municipal and Civil Engineer.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) A little but of background nausea, but its so far easily cured by cold water and sour snacks (sour patch kids and green grapes ftw).
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! After my degree in Engineering, I went to College part time for a Baking Arts Diploma.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm Allison! I'm 33 years old, living in Texas, and have been married for 4 years next month to my wonderful husband!
Due date: October 17th. Have my first prenatal appt to confirm pregnancy next week!
How did you find out? I had been feeling super nauseous and exhausted for weeks. The morning I was supposed to start my period, I went to go take a test and was shocked that it immediately came up positive. I thought surely I had done something wrong, so I told my husband to go to the store and get more tests so I could see if this positive test was accurate. So far only a few close friends know, and we're waiting until after the confirmation appointment to tell our families.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have been married to my husband for almost 4 years; we met right before COVID lockdowns and dated all through 2020. We have a little girl who will be 2 in May, and we are so excited to watch her become a big sister but also sad at the thought of how much her world is going to change. We have an almost 12 year old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who loves his retirement life of sleeping and eating all day! I'm mostly a stay-at-home mom to our little girl, but I work a contract job in education to grade state standardized tests so I'm pretty busy during the end of school until summer.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I've been freaking out a lot, because while we wanted another baby we weren't expecting one this soon! We were hoping to start trying in October but now we'll be welcoming a baby then instead! I've been feeling soooo much more nauseous this pregnancy compared to my first and had trouble keeping things down. It also didn't help that the same day I found out I was pregnant I ended up getting bronchitis and laryngitis so the first few weeks were painful on many accounts!
GTKY: Fun fact! Tell us something unique or interesting about you! My husband and I got married at our local zoo and had a few fun animals walking around during our reception!
Even after TTC for awhile, I actually found out because I dreamt I was pregnant… I never would have believed this if someone else had told me but I had the dream and kept thinking about it throughout the day. It was still early for me to test but I had the strange feeling my dream was telling me something and it turns out I was correct! This is my first pregnancy as well. It’s just been me and my husband and our little corgi waiting for this news and we’re so happy.
Fun fact about me! I’ve been to all 50 states!
