Re: Question Thread!

  • I have been having alot
of lower pain too! Some days it feels like he’s gonna fall out and swelling in my lady parts. I actually felt him much higher this morning and I think he shifted upwards and the pressure isn’t there anymore (thank goodness). The last few days I was doing this kinda upside down pose to help shift him and I think it finally worked.

  • yes! Just in the last few days, more hip pain like I’m stretching, and pelvis pressure.
  • @sph97 I am having the same issue with my baby really low, facing down and horrible back pain. I also feel like my baby is coming out when Im walking. I was told by my Dr that because it isn’t my first pregnancy the muscles aren’t strong like before and that is normal to have the baby lower. I use sometimes the belly band, but I try to limit my time standing because my back will kill me. My first pregnancy was so easy compared to this one. I am almost 28 weeks, but been feeling the baby low since week 24.
  • Hi all - Has anyone heard of a remote monitoring device that allows you to monitor the baby's movements so you don't have to go to the hospital to check if everything's okay if you have a scare when you don't feel the baby's movements?
  • I know there are at home dopplers you can purchase online, but I've never tried one. I know you need to be trained to properly use one and if you're not doing it right then it might cause unnecessary anxiety. Maybe someone here has had luck using one in the past

  • Thanks Winterecho. The one I heard about isn't the doppler but I don't know more. I'm going to keep searching and will post if I find it,
  • Any suggestions on baby monitors that can have 2 cameras connected? We have one we’ve been using 2.5 years (infant optics)  but it’s staring to have issues so wondering what’s good these days. I’m looking for one with its own monitor unit, rather than needing to watch on my phone.

Magnesium supplement suggestions? Electrolytes aren't cutting it with these leg and feet cramps
  • @robotpopcan I’m a fan of anything by Thorne or Trace Minerals (TM is most cost effective I’d say)
  • @robotpopcan calm magnesium drink is what I'm doing, I also have magnesium oil you can spray on your legs and absorb through your skin.

Anyone experience a reappearance of nausea? I’ve gotten sick 3 days in a row now 😭
  • @sph97 yes my nausea reappeared in the third trimester so i gag at certain smells and have thrown up 😂!

With my first I was just sick the whole 9 months 😵‍💫 I thought I had dodged the nausea this pregnancy but it’s definitely creeping back 😩
  • Yes! My nausea is back. I told my Dr today it feels like first trimester again. Nausea, headaches, dizziness… adding swelling hands and feet, back pain, and watching blood pressure that is a little higher than normal sometimes. Im ready to have this baby. Im too tired and it’s only 33 weeks…
  • Unfortunately I'm having the whole 9 months nausea so I've been on Reglan since the first trimester. Sometimes despite taking it I'm still feeling sick but my doc said as long as I'm not throwing up then it's fine 🫠

  • Has anyone experienced a random amount of time where your heart just started racing for no reason?  …. This is the first time it has happened while pregnant… baby was super active and I had a really busy day … but usually slow breathing calms my heart rate right down when it races … this time it just wouldn’t stop …and blood pressure was fine … weird
  • Went for a sonogram today and was told that a 38 week induction would be likely because baby is measuring in the 7th percentile. This is my second pregnancy- my first went full term. My water broke on its own. I am terrified about an induction. Does anyone have experience with it from a previous pregnancy? Is the process painful?
  • @crownedneptune when I had flu earlier in my 2nd trimester my heart was racing too! Fluids really helped to lower it. I went to the hospital twice and the first time they gave me water, but the second time was more effective to have IV fluids. At home I worked on sipping Gatorade, water and coconut water since I didn't have much appetite. I was also managing a fever which likely contributed. Do you know what's causing it now?

  • @crownedneptune I had that happened a few times during pregnancy and i have no idea what caused it. My case was always when I was asleep and woke me up in the middle of the night feeling like I was done running a marathon. I was thinking it was panic attacks because there was no other explanation. I hope it doesn’t happen again because it is really scary. I know it’s no help but at least you know you aren’t the only one.
  • Went today for my 36 weeks appointment and I'm 3 cm dilated. Has this happened to anyone else? My Dr said I will most likely have the baby within the next week or 2.
I'm a first time mom... Just don't know how fast I will keep dilating?
  • Anyone with body aches and super sore back, hip and everything else down there? I can barely walk and I have zero energy. No sick just this. (37 weeks)
  • A chiropractor is the best for this...also a body pregnancy pillow while you're sleeping.

It's hard to say. At 38 weeks with my first I was admitted to the hospital with some respiratory issues and the first 24 hours I stayed at 1 cm dilated and the monitors picked up on contractions but I wasn't feeling them

  • i still have no clue what caused it … It really scared me …
  • @crownedneptune usually a racing heart is cased by the hormones we got surging through us. Drink more water when it happens and try to avoid caffeine.

  • Is anyone having uncomfortable fingers? They feel generally a bit swollen (don’t look big though), a little tingle, and achy at night. My blood presssures are ok, so my doctor isn’t concerned unless my bp is high or swelling worsens.
  • Fingers and toes, mostly in the heat or if I’ve been standing/my arms have bee hanging down for a while. BP is totally fine so I’m not worried
  • The heat is causing swelling for me. I also find if I eat too many carbs my fingers and hands get like that more. How did your GD test go, were your numbers elevated?
  • @jhysmath i Passed my GD test. I’m thinking its carpal tunnel after googling it. So uncomfortable!
  • @rabtaido1214 I passed my gd test with my 2nd but it was "elevated" I had really bad carpal tunnel with her. Like I couldn't feel half of my hand until about 6 weeks postpartum. I would drop things often, and couldn't open containers. That was the only pregnancy I ate what I wanted in the third trimester out of 4. Not having all the carbs helped in the other 3. With my second, a chiropractor was able to get me some relief from the carpal tunnel for a few days at a time.
  • My value was 102, so I don’t think(?) elevated. Definitely been eating a lot of carbs lately so there could be a link there! Oh man I can’t imagine waiting 6 weeks postpartum for this to go away.
  • I’ve been having on and off carpal, and I find wearing my brace at night helps give me relief the next day. Definitely worse in the pregnancy than the minor flare ups I used to have. I wear an over the counter one that really helps alleviate the pain.

  • literally my right hand and wrist started hurting yesterday and today 😂
  • such a weird pregnancy symptom, definitely didn’t have any carpal w baby #1
  • I had it slightly with all my pregnancies. But with my second daughter it was the worst. Try changing a newborn diaper in the middle of the night when you can't feel your hands and fingers and you're expected to be able to pull those tabs. It was terrible.
  • 39 weeks and three days, I am to be induced on the 8th which is two days after my due date. I've been having nausea the last two nights and had more pressure then ever before but only get contractions when active, baby has been moving like crazy. Any chance this is an indicator of labor?
