@lilmamabat I love Violet but my last name is White so it feels like a crayon box together😂 also my tip for filling out the paperwork is to really read it carefully. DS1 has a confusing name (and it was a long time ago) but I think first, middle, last were all labeled clearly on his paperwork. With DS2 my midwife had the paperwork for us before the birth so I had it ready to go before I was exhausted and on pain meds post C-section.
@lilmamabat my oldest has 2 middle names and if this babe is a boy they will too. Not sure if you are in the US or Canada, but here in the US we simply wrote both names with a space in between them in the middle name slot. It was all processed correctly.
I love the name Ira for a boy! It was on my short list, but my partner vetoed it. I've only ever heard it as a boy name, I don't think it's a Jewish only name (I am not, and I wanted to use it) and I never really made the association with the I.R.A so hopefully others wouldn't.
How is everyone coming along with narrowing down choices? I think the apocalypse might be nigh because my husband and I currently have, at least temporarily, agreed on Maxwell Miles 😂
@ceclarlinetlo we have made zero progress, but I also feel zero pressure since we aren't finding out baby’s sex until birth. Hoping I just come across something that feels like *the one*
We’re still cycling through our list. I think 6 of the remaining 8 weeks are accounted for, and we’ll decide from a shortened short list when we actually meet her!! (Unless she’s unexpectedly a boy, and then we already have a name, hahaha)
We are currently between Savannah and Genevieve. My husband is die hard for Olivia and I’m for Devon but neither of us will budge so I guess those are out. Thinking Lynn for a middle name after my mom.
@SpartanCat I don't dislike Henry and Cody together, but I do agree they have different vibes. That said, I don't think they have to be the same. I would vote for going with Henry and using the nm Hank because I think Hank and Cody are adorable together.
Re: Baby Names
I really like Guinevere @hedgepig and Vivian as well @farm_mama
A neighbor I was bringing eggs to today is named Yvonne and suggested that or Devin and I love Devin. My husband was not into it though😐
I've always loved Vada and Vera!

Avery or Norah?
Are people these days using Ira as a girl name?
Is it only appropriate if you are Jewish?
Does the association with I.R.A. bother you?

We're leaning toward Henry Alan. That was our second choice for our first. Does Henry and Cody sound good together?
