Re: Baby Names Thread

  • My partner and I have combined our names to our baby's name, Kenshan..

  • I have a 1 year old daughter named Leni Bloom. Currently expecting my second girl, due at the end of August. They will be just 14 months apart. My husband and I have two names we like and cannot decide.
Lou Frances. We adore Lou for a girl and it was always on our list. Now that we have Leni, we know it’s very cutesy to have a Leni and a Lou, but I’m also very aware that I feel sad at the idea of not using this name. It feels so confident and bold but also really darling.

The second is Ada James. AJ for a nickname perhaps amongst friends/fam. I know James for a girl is controversial, but we think it makes for a nice contemporary balance next to Ada, and stands up well against a very modern Leni Bloom. We always loved Ada and had said if we ever got pregnant with a girl we would use it (long before actually being pregnant). Then once I was expecting my first, I found it too vintage. But I’ve since circled back and now think it’s lovely and the short name fits our vibe.

    Votes?! Ada or Lou???

Ps not super inclined to change either name or consider other variations. I’ve had a few people suggest Ada Lou as a full name but it feels very Dr Seuss to me 😂

knottieb3dcc49de2c09e63 I think both names are darling and eclectic! Personally though I would have to vote for Ada James, it definitely has a nice flow and agree that it contrasts nicely to Leni Bloom :)
  • Thank you for your input! Love to hear it 🩷

Hi, I have a 5 year old daughter named Sofia and I’m due for baby girl number 2 in three weeks. I’m having a hard time picking between two names, I’d love to know which has your vote. I love both and can’t decide. Thanks!!!

    Siena or Lola
  • Thoughts on Evan vs. Miles? One name will be the first name and the other will be the middle.

I like Siena. However have you considered the alternative spelling of Sienna? I think I prefer that spelling.
