I figured I’m not the only one who has been stalking this board the last week, waiting for someone to start the intro thread….

    Introduce yourself:

    Due date?
    8/7

    How did you find out?
I told myself I wasn’t testing until Monday…and then tested Saturday night after being nauseous all day, and it was positive.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
We have 3 living children (9, 8, 4), and lost our daughter at 17 weeks 9/1, so…I’m a bit terrified, being pregnant again, though it was very planned. We also have 2 dogs and live on 6 acres, and both my husband and I work from home. I enjoy running and yoga, ha, obviously, and am a Peloton-er.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
SO nauseous on and off - I’ve puked in my mouth multiple times. Super light-headed. I feel like I should feel more anxious than I am - maybe I’m just detached, at this point.

  • @runningyogimama I've been stalking this since yesterday LOL! Thanks for starting it :) Also you are living my dream with 6acres. I would honestly settle for a 1/4-1/3 of an acre LOL.

    Introduce yourself:

    Due date? 8/15

How did you find out? Been testing since 8dpo, today 10dpo I got a dark enough line to make me feel like I'm not going crazy with line eyes with a FRER. My mommeds have been so light!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a husband, an almost 3 year old (I was apart of the Jan 2020 bump board), and a cat. I work at CHOP doing post-award support for the cancer research center. I love to read, knit, and play video games. We also have a side business growing microgreens for local restaurants and the local community during market season... Kinda terrified how next market season is going look giving birth right in the middle of it.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Emotionally pretty good. Just relieved with the solid positive. Already got my first appointment scheduled. Have a plan of how I'm going to tell the husband. I'm starting to get constipated which I don't love. My tender boobs are getting worse and on and off nausea. But that's about it right now. Oh and I guess a bit of cramping.

  • Introduce yourself:
Hello my name is Marie. I just found out I’m pregnant but I’ll be doing this journey alone, unfortunately. I’m glad to have you ladies with me on this journey
    Due date?
    8/7

    How did you find out?
Felt sick and we had been trying

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
No partner. I’m a mom to an 7 year old this will be my second pregnancy. I’m all alone in this world. I have 2 great friends, no family and I just got a new puppy named Lottie. I love to bake, hike, be apart of nature and listen to music. I love building legos and I’m a huge nerd… I hope my baby loves Harry Potter just as much as I do.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
I’m stressed but I’m trying to feel happy for this miracle inside me. Definitely nauseous and I have the biggest food adversions so it’s hard to keep anything down right now…. Any tips??? Also my biggest adversion is meat.
  • @stashattack The trade off on the 6 acres is we live in the middle of nowhere, ugh! We moved here two years ago, and I’m still just not a fan of being 30 mins from even Walmart, and an hour to both closest actual cities, so an hour drive for all appts, etc…but the space and quiet and not dealing with actual neighbors is amazing!

  • Introduce yourself:

Due date? 8/10 based on LMP, 8/17 based on possible ovulation? FF didn’t give me crosshairs so honestly not 100% sure!

How did you find out? Took a test this evening at (possibly) 8dpo.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):

My SO and I have been together for 4 years now, we have a 7 year old DS who’s bio dad isn’t in the picture, and two Great Pyrenees mixes! I am a SAHM, I homeschool, I also occasionally do daycare for those in need, and I occasionally sub for a Montessori preschool! For fun I like to read and research anything I can get my hands on about natural health and nutrition, bit of a nerd when it comes to health😉

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?

Well, I keep almost peeing myself which is very out of the ordinary because my bladder is normally leak proof. That’s the reason I tested actually! I’m hungry all. The. Time. A little irritable and tired by the end of the day but other than that I’m feeling great!

  • Introduce yourself:

    Due date?
    8/4

    How did you find out?
Home test before double-checking my hCG at the doctor

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I have a supportive spouse, and this will be our first. I miscarried in May, so we're praying this little one will make it. I work as a therapist and like to knit, read, game (all sorts), and hang out with my sisters.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally?)
Symptoms-wise I'm very nauseous, easily fatigued, and have experienced some dizziness. What's super fun is how I immediately gag upon smelling cooked chicken or eggs. Emotionally, I'm anxious, but that's typical for me and I'm getting help with it.
  • @runningyogimama I totally get it. We live on the edge of burbs and country right now in our townhome. But there's a house for sale that is on 5 acres. I wish we could justify moving to it right now! The big city is 40min away without traffic, but we have plenty of stuff in our towns near by to shop within 10-20 minutes of us.

@knottiebd9b31caf09e9b39 I had a big aversion to meat too with my first. It was so hard. Ginger tea kinda helped? But I kinda had to just wait it out.

@justyouraveragemama that's awesome that you support your community with daycare support for those in need!

@apple_dumpling congrats!! <3 UGH yeah I'm not looking forward to cooking again in a couple of weeks, or the smell of food. For me fish/shelf fish was particularly bad.

    Due date? 08/05

How did you find out? I've been doing fertility treatments since May 2021 so it was day 35 and I had to do a test before I started taking my progesterone to help kick start my period and my test was positive!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I'm mom to a 3 year old boy and wife to my high school sweetheart! We live on an acerage in Canada with 3 cats and 2 dogs. I've been an ER nurse for 6 years. Like I said above, we're been doing fertility treatments for a year and a half. I have PCOS and my husband is like 10% above being considered infertile. We were told out first son was literally a 1 in a million chance that he even happened.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Cramping and occasionally sore breasts are my only real consistent symptom, but I do feel nauseous every now and then. Emotionally I'm excited, nervous but still I can't believe this is finally happening. You go so long with just seeing negative and continuing on with treatments and now that it's positive and I've been getting bloodwork to watch my levels increase, it's still almost hard to wrap my head around. I also had a right tube block last year so my OBGYN said I'm "at risk" of ectopic so there's lots of feelings and emotions! Just trying to navigate that aspect of it all.
  • @Knottie1456626734 I hope all goes well. I have my fingers crossed for you. Are they going to schedule you for an earlier ultrasound to check??

    Introduce yourself:

    Due date? around  8/10

How did you find out? I took a test when I just missed my period

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):

I’m a lawyer, my husband is a manager of a company. I love gardening, it’s my favorite thing to do. I’m always either planning or planting. We also spend a good amount of time at the gym. This will be our first child and we are super excited about it. We do have a fur child, a sweet and sassy rescue cat.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m hopeful and nervous at the same time. We had two pregnancy losses this year, and we are hoping that third time is a charm. Not going to lie, I’ve got some ptsd from the losses. I checked in with my dr early and my blood work looks good so far, so I’ll be going in for an early sono in two weeks.  As far as symptoms go, I’ve had migraines, stomach issues, and I’m pretty darn tired. Hopefully things level off with time.
  • @lyss3208 With you on the PTSD from loss thing. ❤️

@runningyogimama  I’m so sorry for your loss, let’s hang in here and keep our heads up!
  • @stashattack it’s such a fun hobby! What did you grow? This year I grew purple Cherokee, brandywine and cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, Cucuzza, eggplants, bell and habanero peppers. It was a rough summer for them because we had a drought. I also have large flower beds, English garden style. Keeps me busy and happy!

@lyss3208 We grew a brandy wine this year too! Our over wintered habanero died this year which was sad. But we also did 3 varieties of cucumber, 2 cherry tomato varieties, romas, our blueberries, strawberries and we planted a new raspberry bramble. We did okra, and a pumpkin! Our our herb bed. We also have an over wintered speciality hot pepper that turned into a bush and gave us so many tiny peppers that we've made 3 quarts of fermented hot sauce out of outside of all the peppers we froze 😹. Oh and eggplant! We pack our tiny backyard with as much as we can!!

We also grow microgreens inside both for us and as a business!

    edit forgot the tag 🤦‍♀️

  • @stashattack that’s some farm you have! I love it! My husband is obsessed with hot sauce and 3 quarts of homemade would be his dream lol. I made habanero pineapple jelly for the first time this summer and it was addicting! I also still have some peppers frozen I need to put to work!
  • Introduce yourself:

    Due date?

    How did you find out?
3 pregnancy tests- We have been trying for about 6 months.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):

I am a Marketing and Events Manager at a country club and my spouse is a restaurant manager. We both love sports, Star Wars, and Disney. We have a 3 bedroom home with a large yard but unfortunately no pets. I can’t convince him into letting us get a dog because of our busy work schedules, especially now with a baby on the way. I have my first prenatal appointment in 2 weeks and I couldn’t be more excited to start this journey.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?

Right now, I only have minor cramps. I’m kinda concerned about how I’m going to be emotionally. A few years ago, I took my birth control in a way that would let me skip my period bc we were planning a vacation and although I didn’t bleed, I was an emotional nightmare. Angry one second, then happy, then crying. I hope I don’t drive my husband too crazy.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?

A little nauseous here and there. I’m having vivid dreams which was a symptoms with my previous pregnancies. Lastly, a little dizzy/lightheaded

Due date? August 10! Which is funny because my dad’s birthday is the 8th

How did you find out? Today! I tested during the last week of never and it was all negative so I figured I wasn’t. We have been trying for 6 months. And then my period was a day late so I figured I test again and it was positive!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): husband and I just got married in July and bought a home to go in to. We have a cat and a dog.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Been just feeling very very tired and a bit nauseous
  • @milaava hey due date buddy!

@happymama07 the mood swings can be so rough. I remember raging so hard with my first. I would always say they work people who would piss me off were lucky they were 7 floors below me LOL. But I'm definitely getting emotional sad recently already.

  • Introduce Yourself: Becky, 41

    Due Date? 08/15

How did you find out? I took a test on Friday 12/2 to see if I could drink at the work holiday party that night. It was positive.

About me: I’m 41, no other children and no pets. I have had 2 miscarriages, the last one was in July. I didn’t think I could get pregnant after years of infertility treatments. I recently became engaged and my fiancé is moving in at the end of the month. I work from home for an HR and Payroll company.

Feelings: My main symptoms are breast tenderness (worse in evening), some crampy feelings (very mild).
  • Introduce yourself:

    Due date? 8/7

How did you find out? I have been SO tired. And nauseous on and off. Wasn’t supposed to start my P until 11/30, but decided to test 11/27 due to symptoms.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am a mortgage loan closer at a credit union, I LOVE my job. Legitimately think it’s fun. So that’s awesome. I never feel like I’m working. I have a 12 year old son, 9 year old son (same dad), my boys friends (this baby’s dad) daughter is 6, and my baby girl (ex, different from my boys) is 3 TODAY!

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I randomly get nauseous. I’ve had a couple instances where I wasn’t sure if I did throw up if I’d made it to the restroom or garbage. My breasts. Oh man do they hurt, I may need to start wearing my sports bra all the time! I am super anxious. I had a miscarriage in July, 3 weeks after my oldest sister passed away. And this is for sure my last pregnancy. So emotions are high. So far HCG levels have doubled. First appointment is 12/28
  • Introduce yourself:

    Due date? 8/5

How did you find out? Suspicion based on some early symptoms and getting sick in the middle of the night. I took a test the next morning at what I think was 10 dpo. In hindsight I might have just had a stomach bug, because I’ve felt better since.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
My SO and I have a 3 year old (I was in the Dec 2018 BMB). I work with infants at a Montessori preschool.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Mild symptoms, which at times makes me anxious if everything is going well. I had a magical, easy pregnancy with my son as well, so I keep telling myself I shouldn’t be worried.

Haven't missed my period yet and scared to take a test early, Due date will be 8/22 if baby sticks

Been trying for past 3 cycles, got the Flu bad right now so not even sure how I feel. Could be PMS symptoms but I feel a strange tightness in my uterus so crossing my fingers.

I have 8 kids already, Youngest is 6. Started over after a divorce with SO who has 0 babies, figured its now or never for fim but this has been hard compared to my younger fertility days. Never knew how stressed out trying to conceive could be. Happened without effort before.

Minor PMS symptoms, breast tenderness, some nausea, tried, congested, gassy and bloated a bit. Could all be FLU related as well so IDK 😐 gonna wait it out till I myss my period this time, not giving the pregnancy test company any more of my money this time
  • My birthday 🎉
  • EDD 8/14

I found out on Sunday by taking a mommed test. Line was faint, so I waited till the next day to test again and tell my husband. The line is very slowly getting darker!

I have a 19 month old son, a dog, and a husband! We moved into a new house in September with about half an acre of a yard. I’m an editor and work from home, and my husband also works remotely. I love to bake, read, and walk around our new town.

I’m feeling all over the place. In October I had a chemical :( I got really into testing with the mommed strips which led to a ton of anxiety. But I knew pretty quickly, like two days after first positive, that things were going down. I got betas which confirmed it. I’m grateful for to be pregnant again so soon but terrified of every day between now and my first appointment. I’m going to get betas again but not sure when I’ll go. I’m only 4w1d so part of me wants to wait a couple days for the blood test because a low HCG will make me scared. Ugh. Aside from that I’m bloated!! And having GI discomfort. Boobs were tender yesterday, not as much today. Just got a wave of nausea, a headache, and did a WHOLE lot of gagging during toddler diaper changes last night haha.

I’m just trying to live in the moment and stay hopeful! happy to be here with you all and really hope I get to stay this time!
  • @ccmrc143 I have my fingers crossed for you <3 I hope your betas go well.

  • Hey y'all! Kinda surreal to be back here. Last time around seems like an entire lifetime ago. But looking forward to getting to know you over the next year!

Due date? August 9-11, something like that, depending on what app it is.

How did you find out? Took a test when I realized I was three days late, took another one immediately because I figured the first was a weird fluke, and then tried another brand the next day, but they all came up positive. So... Guess that's pretty settled for now!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I'm a married SAHM to a 3-year-old daughter. We moved back to my hometown last year after living 45 minutes away since i started college 20 years ago. (Husband moved there much later -- we both worked for the university there, which is how we met.) He used to be a college basketball coach but the staff got let go when I was 7 months pregnant last time, so he started working for a sports tech company, and when covid happened he went remote anyway, so we could move back home closer to my family. He volunteers with the high school team up the road from us now. Before my daughter, I worked in advertising for a couple local companies, after leaving the fundraising office for the university athletic department. These days, though, I just moonlight as a Disney travel agent while trying to stay out of trouble with my little three-year-old sass.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Kind of in denial still? I'm 38 and we weren't really trying, but weren't not trying -- but after six months of that I sort of figured my body was just like "yeah no thank you." But surprise! No real symptoms to speak of -- a little more "was that a helicopter or your ass" conversations with my husband, and breakfast sausage tasted unexpectedly awful this morning which is like sacrilege for me, but that's about it. Hopefully it stays like that! First pregnancy was pretty easy from a physical standpoint but I did do battle with antepartum depression, so I'm giving myself a lot more grace this time around (like knowing that no, wondering if this was really a good idea does NOT make me a skeezy pile of awful human, no matter what the guilt over it says) and hoping for the best.
  • Introduce yourself: Rachael :)

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): no kids, 2 small dogs, married for 6 years, work as a longshoreman

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Pretty peaceful overall, trusting god but of course nerves come and go. Overall excited
  • Due date?

    8/17

    How did you find out?

With my husband, 10 DPO (December 4th). I had a bit of nausea that morning.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):

Hello! I’m a FTM and my EDD is 8/17 based on ovulation date. My husband and I live in Southwest Florida with our two dogs & two cats. We both work remotely. We have been trying off and on for about 3 years. Stopped initially during COVID then started up again mid-2020, then in 2021 found out I have hyperprolactinemia (a pituitary microadenoma tumor that secretes excess prolactin hormone which keeps you from ovulating), and that I needed open heart surgery for my congenital heart defect. So had that surgery in January, initially thought we might do IVF, but decided to try naturally this cycle just to see… and well, it worked! We are still in disbelief on how quickly it happened but are still cautiously optimistic as we know it’s still early. ❤️🙏

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?

Not too bad, fatigue has started as well as some light nausea. I don’t have cravings yet but I get hungry late at night. I am having some light cramping & breast tenderness too. Emotionally not too bad except two incidents of crying (one before I found out I am pregnant & the second one tonight).
  • edited December 2022
    Due date: august 5

How did you find out: Was on thanksgiving vacation and late by 3-4 days (usually super regular). Once we got home, took a test that night and was positive. Hubby didn’t see the line so waited a couple more days and took the clear blue “pregnant” test and told him :) we have been trying for over a year, recently had Hsg

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): FTM from MN, live with my husband and two dogs. I work full time as a marketing manager, love working out and cooking!

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally): I’m anxious as hell, and will continue to take a prego test every morning until my 8 week ultrasound 🙃 mostly just a lot of cramping and my appetite has severely decreased. I had some brown discharge the last couple of days so called the nurse line and they ordered an HCG and some blood work - she thought it was likely normal and from me working out too heavy.

I’m not great at keeping secrets and have already spilled the beans to my best friend.
  • Due date: Aug 2

It’s been a roller coaster ride so far! I feel nauseous everyday. Found out when I had the morning sickness and migraines.

I am a FT photographer who has stopped taking new clients for now until I feel more stable after the holiday madness! Very anxious and cautious about everything! Partner regularly travels for work so this community helps me putting myself together x
  • Hi! I'm excited to be back on the bump boards.

Introduce yourself: I'm a 31 yr old mom of an 18 month old. Our little family (including my husband) reside in Canada.

    Due date? Aug 11

How did you find out? BFP this week. We've been trying for a few months because I wanted to get pregnant before Christmas!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Im a boring accountant and my husband works in HVAC. Before Covid and baby, we used to travel a lot, probably at least twice a year. Hoping to get one big trip in before baby #2 arrives as things will get harder.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Normal, except for slight twinge and random back ache. I didn't have very many symptoms with my first either. Anxiety is still there after a miscarriage with my first pregnancy (this feeling never really leaves you, does it). Fingers crossed for all of us.
  • Introduce yourself: 34, mother to one little guy, living in Indiana.

Due date? 8/3 Funny story, I was initially due 7/25 based on LMP but I ovulated late this last cycle and the based on my ultrasound today my doc pushed back my due date.

How did you find out? Started testing pretty early and got my first faint positive at 9 DPO.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My son will be two in March. My husband and I recently celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We have two cats. We love going on walks, playing board games and generally just spending time together. I work in the financial industry and my husband is in biochemistry.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’ve had all the usually symptoms. Emotionally, I am just trying to keep calm. This is my 5th time being pregnant. I lost two pregnancies before I had my son and my most recent loss was this past June. Hopefully this little rainbow sticks!
  • @wendy838 our firsts are right about the same age! Mine just turned 19 months yesterday. And I hear you on wanting to get one last big trip in. We’re aiming for Montana in June…when I’ll (god willing) be 33 weeks. Not sure it’ll happen!
  • Hi!!

due date: august 15 or 16

how did I find out: my husband and I were ttc so at 8DPO I started testing. At 9DPO, I have a SUPER faint line and I’ve been testing since and the line keeps getting darker!

Tell us about yourself: I am a teacher and my husband is an internal auditor. We enjoy watching movies together and taking walks with our 5 year old yellow lab!

How am I feeling: I’ve been getting a few cramps (my doctor said that’s normal) and been super hungry!!
I am trying to stay positive but I’m feeling anxious (hence the testing every day) because last month I had a chemical pregnancy.
