Anatomy scan today! Baby is doing great and was very active! Apart from a low-lying placenta and a polyp in my cervix (weird), everything was completely normal!
ps- does his nose look really high up, or is that just me?!
My sister is hosting a gender reveal tomorrow. I’m so excited we had an ultrasound today and I asked the tech to just put ?? On the gender photo ( we did DNA testing) anyone want to take a guess at the gender?! I am hoping for a girl but my gut says boy.
Hi @mashbaugh87 and welcome to the forum! Please be sure to stop by the introductions thread and introduce yourself!
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Anatomy scan this morning and everything looks perfect! Measuring right on track. Weighs about 10 ounces based on measurements. Spent the whole scan with his feet up by his head lol
Baby boy at 20 weeks 💙 He’s 12 oz and was moving a ton, but I still can’t feel him (anterior placenta). I cannot wait to start feeling all those little kicks!
Anatomy scan this morning! We were so excited to see baby especially after seeing all these cute profile baby shots on here. Then these were the only pictures we got 🤣🤣 my husband and I were cracking up. Baby girl is indeed a girl, and she was being very shy. Good news is we get to go back next month to try again, I love any excuse to see her. Also found out I have an anterior placenta which was a relief to know why I haven’t felt the baby moving at all
Our baby boy! Everything was great at the anatomy scan. We’ll have to go back in a couple weeks because he was a wiggly guy and couldn’t get a clear picture of his heart. Also found out I have an anterior placenta so no wonder it’s been tough to feel him move!
20 wk anatomy scan at 19w6d. We have a thumb sucker. At one point, he had both thumbs in there! He was so active and kept rolling over until the end when he only wanted to face my spine. Our tech did what she could to get a bit of 3D for us at the end anyway.
At an estimated 10 oz., he’s in the 30th percentile for his 9/13 due date. The measurements all come up in sync for 19w1d (on track for my prediction based on late ovulation) except abdominal circumference which is larger at 19w6d. DH has a large rib cage; his ribs don’t fit under my car. Now I gotta look up whether the abdominal circumference is the belly like it sounds or the ribs - curious! I know it’s a stretch but I gotta keep myself occupied.
From the 3D image of the ear, it looks like he has DH’s attached lobes – mine are detached. My sister said it’s too soon to tell from 1 pic, so I’ll be checking them as soon as he comes out, ha!
Baby wouldn't stop moving, it was pretty cool to watch it kick my overly full bladder and feel it at the same time. It made it seem that much more real and surreal at the same time. Placenta is posterior which is great and likely why I can feel so much.... Also the measurement screen showed pretty much all measurements put me a week a head, but the mfm said nothing about this so I'm sure it's all fine.
Had our anatomy scan a little early (18 + 2) so we could feel more comfortable telling family and friends at my graduation next week! Little girl was busy but we got good images- everything looked great, and she measured to the day for her previously estimated due date
Can't believe the definition you got on the nose on that first picture!

Cletus the Fetus spent most of the anatomy scan kicking my bladder. 20+2

Anatomy scan today! So far everything looks great, no signs of any issues. They'll monitor us pretty aggressively as we get closer to term, but I'm feeling a million times better knowing everything looked so good today.
First time mom-to-be, due 9/25/22
Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!
Had our anatomy scan for baby #2 a few weeks ago. Hopefully the ultrasound photo will upload correctly but, we decided to compare our 1st son’s ≈20wk profile with with baby boy #2’s. It’s crazy how similar they look 🥰
@lilienne that's great news! I'm sure she'll continue to look great and surprise you. I hope someone is relating this info to that first kaiser Dr who told you to terminate and giving them heck about it. I wish I had had the balls to have my 6 week pp visit with the one who told me to terminate just to give him a piece of my mind.
@jhysmath I definitely kept thinking of you and your experience, while we were waiting for test results and arguing with Kaiser folks who clearly couldn't understand why we were holding out. We have asked to stop working with some of the people who didn't want to give us the time or space to get information and make our own decisions. Part of me feels like I should reach out to them (or maybe their managers) to give feedback...but most of me is just grateful that we've found people who we feel comfortable working with from here on out.

@lilienne I'm grateful everyday I spend with my sassy toddler. I'm also grateful that the ob is no longer employed with them and at least no one in my area will have to deal with them.
Anatomy scan and these 4D ultrasounds still seem so wild to me. When I had my daughter 10 years ago this was absolutely not something done by my doctor. My favorite part (aside from another healthy girl) was my 10 year old daughter stating, “it looks like an actual baby!”
costaricamom I love your daughter's comment! A friend looked at our anatomy scan photos and said, "holy crap - I was expecting a tadpool, but that's a baby!"

We had our second anatomy scan today since he didn’t want to cooperate at our last one. We were FINALLY able to get a pretty good profile pic in 2D and in 3D. He’s measuring exactly on tract and everything looked great.

Loving seeing all these babes!
he has my lips and my nose and kept moonwalking around the placenta when she was trying to get a clear shot of his feet lol!

she’s measuring about 5 days small, but I was only 4 1/2 lbs when I was born so I’m not super surprised there! Lol
