I didn’t have a great experience yesterday for my first ultrasound. Based on my last period, I was supposed to be 12 weeks. We got in there and the doctor couldn’t find a baby. She ended up finding this little line and said it’s possible that this is the baby but it looks too early to tell. So I’m either actually 6 weeks or I am having an abnormal pregnancy. I was pretty devastated but hoping for the best. Doing blood work today and Monday to see if we’re still good. Did anyone else have this experience? I’m just praying and trying to stay positive, this is my first pregnancy.
@andah_ I'm sorry that things didn't go as planned. I don't have any experience with that, but you being 6 weeks sounds totally possible! It sounds like the Dr isn't too worried unless your HCG doesn't go up a lot. I'll be praying that you have a good outcome ❤
@auriculatus thank you so much, I really appreciate it! It’s so crazy when you’re tracking your cycle and highest fertility days and then you conceive at a time when you’re so unlikely to get pregnant. I think that must be what happened, it’s the only way I can think that I’m 6 weeks instead of 12. I guess it’s pretty common.
I don’t have a picture but I went in for an early ultrasound at 5w1d given my history of 2 previous miscarriages. They located the gestational sac that us “high in my uterus” (???)but said they didn’t yet see a yolk sac that was measure 5w3d. I am very nervous but trying to remain hopeful.
Had my US today with the fertility clinic, baby measured at ~10mm for 7w - super thrilled to see heart beat. No other tests were done, so kind of bummed about it. My first appointment with my OB GYN is at 12w 6d which I feel is too late.
@hopefulisa let’s try to stay positive together! I went in at 6 weeks which we originally though was 12 weeks and our doctor could not find much of anything but a line that indicates I “might” be 6 weeks. She sent me for blood work Friday and then tomorrow and I will wait until Tuesday to hear good news. It’s so scary at this time when you don’t get full confirmation. Praying for both of us to have good outcomes!
We are 7w4d today and had our first ultrasound last Thursday. This was after a chemical pregnancy and 2+ years of trying. We were finally successful after our first round of IVF. We were so relieved to see the heartbeat 💓
Next ultrasound in 11 days before officially graduating from our fertility clinic ☺️
Last ultrasound with our fertility clinic: 8w4d, measuring on the nose! We actually got to do a 3D ultrasound today! Never did one with our oldest, so that was very cool to do. Gosh, technology is amazing.
This is a side profile, so that it’s right arm (and fingers!) and right foot. The longer looking foot is actually its umbilical cord. So wild to see them at this stage in 3D!
Had my first ultrasound this morning!!! 6 weeks 1 day along! I was SO anxious as I really haven’t had any symptoms. I have lupus as well, but everything looks good. Tiny heartbeat💙
We got to see our little Buddha yesterday! Measuring right on track at 9 weeks 1 day like my LMP predicted so I kept my due date of March 5th. Heartbeat was 182. I feel so relieved everything is on track and Buddha is growing according to plan!
We're calling our little bean "Marchmallow" and keep reminding them to stay sticky. Had my first US today at 8w0d. Heartbeat is 179 and measuring at 7w6d. I'm feeling hopeful and it's finally starting to feel real. Due date is 3/17 but the tech wants to consult my doctor to determine if we should change the date to 3/18. I didn't think they'd change it for just one day difference but this is my first so it's all new to me.
I'm so relieved to confirm the pregnancy. I told the technician that I was nervous because I had a MMC. She immediately turned on the tv so she could show me baby and the heartbeat. I didn't realize how much I wasn't allowing myself to be happy about the pregnancy. I thought I was 8w3d but baby is measuring 7w5d. Which could be due to my irregular cycle.
I couldn't wait for my doctor's appointment so I went to one of those boutique places. Saw baby's heartbeat (138) and is measuring 7 weeks exactly after a few measurements were taken.
@erin-obrien-mn that seems silly to change the due date one day. With my first, I thought it was Oct 18, they tracked me at Oct 20 and he ended up finally coming October 26th. Due date shmoo date. 😆
Got my ultrasound at 10w1d -- I was feeling so impatient, but got great images of my little one! This is my and my partner's first and we couldn't believe it. Due March 2nd 😍
Me again with yet another ultrasound. Today I am 10 weeks. I went to my OB for the first time and he could see I was a disaster anxiety wise since I’m just getting over Covid. So he did an impromptu ultrasound and it was exactly what I needed.
Finally got to see peanut today! Moving around sooo much! Measuring 9w6d (one day behind my app but still pretty accurate) and heartbeat of 170! 🥰
Poor hubby was feeling sick right before I went back so he left and didn’t get to see the ultrasound but I sent him a video! Guessing my issue yesterday was stomach stuff and not morning sickness!
It was great, thanks for asking, just wish hubby could have been there. Please introduce yourself in our introductions thread and change your username to something other than knottie so we can distinguish you from other members! There are instructions in a sticky thread.
Hello! I am new here! I am so happy to see all of the ultrasounds! I had my ultrasound at 8w3d and the babe was measuring at 8w2d with a heart rate of 150! I am due March 12th! We were so excited to see the flicker of the heart, especially having a miscarriage in January. Some days I am super anxious especially knowing that we won’t have our next US until we are 20 weeks. Thinking about going to a boutique to put my mind at ease until we are out of the first trimester.
knottie1a1bd6dcafe89dde After my OB wouldn't do a ultrasound at my first appointment I scheduled one at a boutique a few days later for peace of mind. I found it absolutely worth it! And there are so many new ones seeming to pop up. Mine ran me about $50. I got sooo many pictures and even a little video clip of the heartbeat.
10 weeks 2 days - right on target with heart rate of 180! Baby was wiggling its arms and kicking its legs every time my husband or I spoke! I’m so in love 😍 ❤️
Had my first ultrasound today.. thought I was 7 weeks +3, so I expected to hear a heartbeat. Doc said I am probably not as far along as I thought. I was so anxious for two days beforehand and now I’m even more freaked out.
My anxiety has gotten the best of me so I went to one of those boutique places (that I only ever heard about through many of you- so thank you!!) and got an US done today, 10w1d. Bebe was moving like wild and all looked good. Phew!
I feel SO much better. The tech even put this lil note on here for us to use this to share the news with our daughter! 🥰
@heytallmama awwww that is awesome! I am so happy for you! Our anxiety can get the best of us and it’s amazing this was able to help you. I am going to a boutique on Sunday! I’ll be exactly 10w. I am hoping I’ll be able to get some sleep at night.
Re: Ultrasound Thread
I'm in the same boat. My first ultrasound is August 3rd and I'll be 9w3d. Such a long wait!
any positive feedback or experience like this?
so cool how they change so much so fast at this stage!
Next ultrasound in 11 days before officially graduating from our fertility clinic ☺️
Little gummy bear looks amazing! Measuring 10w (I'm 9w3d) and heartbeat of 168!
