Re: The Great Big Questions Thread - July

  • @Wishilivedinflorida I probably should have gone to PT to be honest. But I'm stubborn and have like no time between kids and animals.

  • @nopegoat I don't have the amount to juggle that you do but I went from having to wear a pad on a daily basis for urine leakage to nothing and a lot of improved strength in my pelvic floor with not a ton of appointments (but working on the exercises on my own between appointments). I sing my pelvic floor PT's praises whenever I can. I highly recommend it.

  • @firecracker_mama I have no idea how I've made it through the amount of kids I have without the leakage problem. But I know my pelvic floor could use some work and Lord knows my hips and back could use some work. I'll mention it to my midwife when I finally make my appt and see if she has a PT rec for me. ❤️

  • Same here with the pain!! When I was preform with my second child I could stand up because of sciatica pain 🤦🏾‍♀️ Now it seems to be coming back!!
  • Lol 😂 I agree!!
  • I work in construction and normally wear overalls. I have NO clue what I'm gonna wear when I get bigger. Are there good maternity work jeans out there? I usually shop in the men's department for work gear (cause pockets). Can't do that with this! Lol

@gravcass I refuse to buy maternity jeans because $$$. I usually wear my fat jeans, use a rubber band to go through button hole to kind of hold them together, roll it down under my belly, then use a belly band to cover it up. I think they also sell pant extenders now that basically do the same thing.

  • Here's a couple different options.

  • Omg @nopegoat I have never been so excited that I kept my fat jeans!

im depressed I just dropped a Jean size (a goal of mine for a while) and I’m now just going back up….now I have two sets of fat jeans though!
  • I need recommendations for different pre-natal vitamins. Not sure which thread to ask on but I think this might work? 😁

    Please and Thank you!
  • @TortugaAzul I just take the Target brand!
  • @TortugaAzul I like Smarty Pants gummies because they are easier to stomach for me than big pills and contain methyl folate (I switched to this after my losses because I was never tested for MTHFR and figured I would try it). I order online but I’ve seen them in stores.
  • @TortugaAzul I use the Nature Made ones; they were recommended by my OB
  • @TortugaAzul - +1 for the nature made brand as well.

@Wishilivedinflorida - I have MTHFR and take 4 mg of folic acid on top of the prenatal. My OB prescribed it.
  • @nopegoat thank you! I'll give those a try:)
  • @TortugaAzul I take the mega foods ones. They're pricier though.
  • @bbrahmbhatt @burr1371 I think I’ll try the Nature Made ones thanks!

@Wishilivedinflorida I’m currently using the smarty pants ones but I think they’re causing me to have dysguesia (sp?) because of the sourness. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Wishilivedinflorida I had just dropped sizes as well and was on the verge of getting a "skinny" wardrobe. Now I guess I'll just keep using belts because it will all fit again in a couple months, haha.
