I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
Re: IF Testing & Treatment, w/o 07.04
Edited for fun spacing
Diagnosis (if you've been): retirement home ovary
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): IVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): ER! all the injections (the lupron flare protocol, in combo with my omnitrope prescription, means I poke 5 needles into my belly a day. it's a good thing the needles are tiny.)
How are things going?: so far, so good. first menopur dose went without a hitch this morning. I know it's entirely in my mind but I swear to god that I can feel my ovary kind of like, warm and fizzing a few minutes after I do the gonadotropin injections.
Any questions?: Yeah sorta. Basically I'm looking for any thoughts on whether I do another retrieval after this. Boring deets in spoiler
For those who forget or haven't been here for my whole damn saga, my deal is bad eggs: In my first 2 retrievals last year, I made 6 blasts in 2 retrievals (out of 9 fertilized and 13 retrieved, so my blast rate is actually pretty ok) and of them, i had 3 complex abnormals, 2 standard-issue abnormals, and 1 low-level mosaic. So now from sequential retrieval #1 this year, I have 8 fertilized on ice, and let's say I fertilize 4 more this round, that would be 12, and i know counting eggs before they hatch is frowned upon but using my personal stats i think it's safe-ish to say 5-6 of those would grow to blast. Is that enough? or do I need more?
FWIW the retrieval process is, i'm not going to say it's easy but it's not as hard on me as it could be. I get through it fine.
Editing to add: I have 2 more vials of donor sperm banked, so if I quit after this round, i wouldn't be using all the sperm I bought. but on the other hand, this process is ... exhausting .. and although physically I know i can do another round without too much trouble, I feel kinda close to tapping out more generally.
Editing again to say: I think my estimates on this upcoming retrieval's results are (I hope I hope) fairly conservative. If I used my existing stats (AFC to retrieved ratio, blast rate), I would get 8 blasts from this and my last cycle.
Making good eggs, obviously. But other than that, I wish I were an effortlessly tidy kind of person. I can do clean when I try, but it's a lot of work and so mostly I'm a slob. And I hate cleaning up after myself once my mess has gotten out of hand.
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.

Diagnosis (if you've been): old, waited too long, not holding my mouth right.
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): medicated IUI
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): benched while I figure out what’s next.
How are things going?: I need to lose some of this weight I’ve gained. Clomid and menopur and IUI was at least working to get me “a little bit” pregnant but isn’t even doing that anymore. Scheduling an appointment to talk to my doc about switching medications. Will have to choose a new donor. I added up how much money I’ve spent, and maybe would be willing to do 2-4 more rounds. Right now I feel less willing to keep putting my body through this and feeling like the rest of my life is so on hold and then just feeling so fucking resentful every month. I started looking at adoption processes and financial stuff just to help me figure out wtf - but it’s all pretty overwhelming and not really what I want. Plus seems like just another long ass process of being fucked with by God. (Sorry for the cussing and the blasphemy, but this is where I am).
Any questions?: only for the Universe: what am I doing wrong? Is this not gonna happen for me? (And WHY??!) I’m definitely at the literal screaming at God and challenging him to a fist fight stage.

@optimistgardener i think if you feel good after ER #2 and a third doesn't feel too battering to your body i would go for it, i kind of operate in the "you don't regret the things you did, but you usually regret the things you didn't do" mindset re most things. i hope that helps!
@rockstarmomma152 big hug, trying to sort out where the limit of what you'll go through is so, so hard.
Diagnosis (if you've been): uncooperative uterus/RPL... tbd
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): benched, i just went back and realized i've been in some type of benched purgatory for 4 months... dear god.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): well, the HSG showed something is in my uterus that should not be there. while kind of upsetting to be going into another procedure under anesthesia (i managed to never have been put under in my 34 years of life, and now i'm looking at 3x in 6 mos) it is also hopeful that this hysteroscopy will "fix" whatever is going on in there be it a fibroid/scar tissue. that procedure is set for 7/26, my RE just set another appt for me on 7/21, and i had to take OPKs on our trip, got a peak on sunday the last day, so i'll get my progesterone and insulin tested on 7/11.
How are things going?: our trip was amazing, and well needed. MH and i haven't taken a week long trip just the two of us in 5 years. lots of long weekends, which are great! but not the same, and the other week long trips have been with family or friends. so it was really nice to just be the two of us. @kiki047 we made it to Kigawa, and it was FABULOUS! lots of good eats in both Paris and London. Adele, was just, amazing. i shall continue in spoiler for those who do not care! and i've got links for videos
she always starts her shows with Hello since 25 came out, she was so choked up. we were at her last live show at Wembley in 2017. the cheeseball in me loves that when she is home in London, she changes to lyrics to reflect that. i think every single person at this show cried at some point, i'm so glad i got all of Hold On video'ed. for those of you who have followed along with my losses, the lyrics of that song just gut me, and to be able to be in the crowd the first time she performed it to the public 100% had me crying.
the trip got off to a ROUGH start, Air Canada cancelled our Toronto flight at 830am on Sunday, rebooked us 4 different times, managed to get us to Montreal. hold us on the runway for 2 hours bc of lack of ground crew... our Montreal - Paris leg kept delaying which was giving us a false hope, by the time we cleared customs we missed our connection by 5 minutes - mind you, at this point it is midnight. at that point i was exhausted. AC customer service was no longer answering, and there were easily 500 ppl waiting at check in for rebookings, and no hotels around the airport available. we spent 5 hours in line, i finally got a spot on hold around 2am, and it took 3 hours to get a human. they told me they rebooked us, failed to tell me it was standby only. at that point it was 5am and we were dead on our feet. we called the marriott at the airport to see the rate to use the gym just to shower, which was $20 pp, not awful. when we walked over they actually had ppl not show up and we were able to get a "day rate" to have a room until 5pm. it was the most needed shower and 6 hours of sleep. lol. wound up spending another 3 hours on hold with AC to make sure we had seats to get Paris, in total i did about 13.5 hours of phone time with them in 24 hours. it was a doozy, and i'm glad i'm well traveled and calm. we wound up missing an entire day of our trip. which sucks tbh. i've got to file a bunch of claim forms now for food, the hotel in Paris, the hotel in Montreal, etc. apparently AC will pay us $1000 CAD bc they delayed us by 24 hours, so we shall see how that shakes out.
that being said, the stuff on the news re travel is real. we took Eurostar to London, and that process is so annoying in a post Brexit world. and Heathrow really is a madhouse, we got there 3.5 hours before our flight and maybe had 30 min of downtime. i hope it gets better soon for everyone involved, the staff are all exhausted and definitely at wits end.
i will circle back to good things though, Paris is just as stunning as i remember. we had a view of the iron lady from our room, albeit at a distance, but really enjoyed staying in the 9th arr. very crowded and instagram culture is strong and laughable at times, but we still had a lovely time, ate great food, brought home lots of goodies, walked 8-10 miles per day exploring. London is my happy place, that's so dumb to stay, but it really is. we always stay at the same hotel, know the lay of the land really well, and i would give anything if i could make it a bicontinental lifestyle. we got to have lunch at Ottolenghi's Rovi which was one of the best meals of my life, and we always make sure to get Indian in London. i was sad to leave, 48 hours was not long enough. we took the train down to Brighton the day after Adele and just lounged on the beach, and it was a great way to end the trip. we had one half day of rain in Paris, which made for some stunning Louvre photos, and just glorious 65-78 sunshine every other day. the weather really treated us well.
Any questions?: anybody have any experience with a hysteroscopy?

GTKY: What is a talent that you do not have that you wish you did have? I wish I could read music and had more confidence in my singing voice. A lot of musical directors at the local community theaters don't want to/don't have the time to teach the music note by note, which is making it harder for me to get cast in musicals. I can't rely on my dancing ability as much as I used to!@abjm0325 oof, I can so relate to that knee-jerk feeling of resentment when DH isn't "ready" and it's like, c'mon buddy, you have ONE job here... that was one of the things I struggled with the most and I don't know that I ever really learned to let it go.
@optimistgardener take this with a grain of salt coming from someone who has transferred 8 embryos with no LC as of yet, but if I were in your shoes I'd do the extra ER and bank as many as possible. God forbid you start transferring and it wasn't working, you may not want to/be able to do more ERs down the road and you'll be glad at that point to have more frozen. andplusalso, with your aneuploidy rate, more embryos gives you more chances at a normal one.
@rockstarmomma152 I'm so sorry for the BFN. I'm right there with you at the "screaming at the universe to stop f*cking with me" stage. I'm not really a God-fearing person but I do believe in some kind of higher power and whoever s/he may be, I'm real tired of their shit. Hopefully your doc can make some tweaks to your protocol to set you up for success.
@anniemarie887 ugghh where do I start? First off, so sorry you're having to be put under again for another hysteroscopy. That's so frustrating. Second, BLARG to Air Canada, they're not always a bad airline but they've really struggled post-pandemic. We're flying AC to Hawaii in Sept and really hope they get their shit together by then. So glad you had a nice trip outside of the travel nightmares, and YAY you made it to Kigawa! Thank YOU for the recommendation for Sugarfish, we went, we ate, we LOVED it. MH is still raving about it. Our uber driver thought we were weird to leave Little Tokyo to go find sushi elsewhere but we had already eaten our way through the local places, so glad we ventured elsewhere because it was so worth it.
@mambo5-2 oh sweet friend, I'm so very sorry for your BFN. Sending hugs and encouragement for this cycle

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Last few days of BCP
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): It was supposed to be a ho-hum run of the mill BCP cycle prepping for our 8th FET but I've been bleeding for almost 3 weeks straight which *TW* hasn't happened since my first MC so I'm freaking out a little *end TW*
How are things going?: Hah, considering I'm on CD18 and I only had about a 3 day window where I wasn't actively bleeding, I'm pretty damn confused and frustrated. I was also looking forward to some romantic time with DH on our trip but that never happened. This doesn't feel like a good sign leading into another FET but any delays at this point will conflict with our trip in Sept which means it would push us back until Oct/Nov to be able to transfer again and that makes me very sad.
Any questions?: Has Covid messed with anyone else's cycles? I've been on BCP countless times in the last 5 years between cycles, not to mention I was on it for almost 16 years straight before we started TTC, and this has never happened to me. *TW* Like I said before, the only time I've bled this much for this long was after a MMC where I bled for 9 weeks straight, but that's not what this is. *end TW* I have a monitoring appt tomorrow for them to do BW and US, we'll see what they say. I'm expecting my RE to brush it off and say it's nothing.
@elle-0409 you mentioned some abnormal bleeding on BCP last week too I think? What the heck? Did they ever figure out what was going on with you?
GTKY: What is a talent that you do not have that you wish you did have? I was just thinking about this the other day. I lol'ed at @optimistgardener's answer about being effortlessly tidy - I wish that for MH, LOL, for me I wish I had a beautiful singing voice. I like to think I can carry a tune but when I hear it played back to me I sound like Rosie O'Donnell, and not in a good way.TTC History:

@kiki047 ughhhhh i'm sorry, have they still not located the bags? i am curious what the likelihood of getting any compensation from AC will look like. also, we routed thru Pearson on the way home... customs was so backed up they only allowed people with connections or disabilities to deplane at first. i wound up checking a bag b/c i was unaware that canada was so strict on the 3-1-1 liquid rule... the us doesn't care about the quantity as long as it's under 100ml. they thankfully survived. crews on all the flights said AC has been really bad for the last 2-3 mos, i hope it gets better in time for your Hawaii trip. and, i'm so glad you enjoyed Sugarfish!
@emeraldduchess i hope your body cooperates and AF shows up!

@mambo5-2 unfortunately yes, it's a murder scene. Especially after a fresh transfer, stims also cause your lining to build up so it's a double whammy.

I dunno if this needs a TW for general daydreaming about our future kids but...
I forgot to mention, we were walking through Macys in DTLA one night last week and we ended up in the kids section. I was trying to just stare straight ahead and not ooh and aaw over anything but I couldn't help myself when I instinctively stopped to look at the cutest little dress and DH said with a sigh, "ok fine, I can see why it's so important to you that we have a girl because all of this stuff is way too cute, I'd buy it all." And then I cried. And now I'm crying again thinking about it. It all just feels so out of reach.

@emeraldduchess Our bodies are so annoying. Just do what you're supposed to already!
@kiki047 Oh no! What is with all the bleeding?? I hope your doc has some insight for you so you can keep your planned schedule. Also, that bag debacle is infuriating!
Edited for awesome spelling
Diagnosis (if you've been): Old lady, RPL, LPD
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Still waiting on some more bloodwork results to come in. It's been almost two weeks and I'm starting to worry that they've misplaced 25 vials of my blood.
How are things going?: I'm strangely calm about being benched. I know that RPL ends up 50% of the time in the "unexplained" category, but I'm kind of hoping for a tiny problem that can be fixed with a little pill. You know, or maybe we could go back in time and fix me beforehand? I mean, as long as we're spitballing here...
Any questions?: Naturally, I ovulate on CD 18 and AF shows up around CD 25, which gives me a 7 day LP. My doctor said that ovulating on CD 18 is too late. Do you think Clomid or Letrozole would be good options? Progesterone supplements on their own really aren't enough for me anymore. I see my doctor again next week, but I'd like to start researching some options that I think she might bring up.
In reality, I'm incredibly outgoing and can converse quite easily with most people, so my real answer would be Lizzy Bennet's reply in regards to the piano (forte):
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.

@mambo5-2 ugh, the crazy heavy period after a failed transfer is an especially cruel kick in the gut.
@elle-0409 I have taken letrozole for TI with trigger cycles and while those didn't result in getting KU, they did move my O up. I am a late O-er as well. It sucks.
@abjm0325 uuuggghhh scheduling. It really is the worst. Like it's almost impossible to enjoy because you're so anxious. I am on meds that aren't great for my sex drive, so it was a double whammy.
@anniemarie887 I'm glad you're trip was exactly what you needed!
@optimistgardener I agree with @kiki047. It might be wise to bank as many embryos as you can. *TW* LC

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): finally back! I think. who knows. if so, then trying letrozole instead of clomid, trigger, TI, progesterone
How are things going?: So I really did end up ovulating on CD 6, and now today AF has shown up. i think. I really thought since this little follicle wanted to burst through so quickly that it was going to be the one. but alas, we are here. I'm still cautious that this isn't a real period yet. Last time I only spotted for 3 days. And it's still pretty light so I don't know. I hope it's just getting started slowly. I'm not even sure what will happen there's no real period again. I hate that my RE didn't even bring me in for a US or anything. I'm really really hoping this is a real period and we can get moving with a medicated cycle.
Any questions?: natm

I’m at the phase where I’m looking at IVF, continued IUI, or bailing and trying adoption. In my IVF research, my doc pointed me to SART.org and they have a calculator that shows likelihood of live births with full cycles of IVF. It does look like the more retrievals, your odds do increase by quite a bit. My own personal results were 1 round of retrieval: 17.5%, 2: 26.5%, 3 rounds: 32.35%. If you haven’t seen that site, wanted to share it and the calculator!
I'll be back with updates from my stims day 5 u/s and hopefully with some further thoughts from my RE re: the third cycle and whatever else.

@bearmomma1 It is so hard to live in dualing emotions (happiness for the other person/ sadness for you). It might be the part I hate most about IF, right after the whole not getting a baby.
With my only living child I started progesterone orally, then switched to vaginally with a positive test.
With my first miscarriage I took it vaginally, but when I started spotting/bleeding my new doctor said to only take it orally. And with my second miscarriage, I only took it orally. I actually bumped it up to 600 because my numbers weren’t very high. I also start spotting at about 11 DPO now even on 400mg of progesterone, which is super weird and annoying.
@optimistgardener Good luck today! And yes, I always know when I’m getting ready to ovulate because I start thinking about Colin Firth. A lot. 😂
