    History
    I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
    Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
    5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
    Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
    Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
    May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
    MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
    In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
    Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
    April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
    July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
    July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
    Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
    RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
    Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
    Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
    Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
    May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
    July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
    Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
    Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
    Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
    May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
    July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
    Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
    From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
    Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
    July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.

    I'm here! I just don't have much to say. Half of my department at work is on vacation this week, to, so I barely have anyone at work to talk to. :/

    The most exciting thing that's happened in my house lately was getting a new tree planted. I mentioned the new tree in TFAS, but not the backstory: we used to have this pine tree near the end of our driveway that was a huge blind spot if we were backing out. DH was waffling on getting it removed but I put my foot down last month when I almost hit a bicyclist. Now we have a nice baby maple tree a few feet back from where "Old Treachery" used to be! :p

    Sorry, I'm out of town with spotty WiFi. I'm lurking when it cooperates and I'll be back in force later this week. I think summer is hard sometimes with people vacationing, etc.

    it seems like this board goes through some very quiet phases and then warms up again--over last christmas break the place was a total ghost town but we got lots of new faces in January. i've been pretty quiet of late because i've been traveling but also because i'm between active treatment phases and so i don't have a lot to report. it also seems like there's less uptake lately on the dailies threads--our weekly threads are much more lively. i almost never spend time in the dailies (because being single and so far down the ivf rabbithole means the world of WTO/TWW is pretty foreign at this point) but wonder whether folks who have been less active in the dailies lately have any thoughts about why they're moving away from them and into other convo spaces?

    @mambo5-2 hugs to you on your last bit of waiting. I’m a big fan of having a nice pity party. 

    I have a totally non TTC related topic. My new job starts August 8. Im taking off two weeks so my last day is July 22. I was planning on giving my boss three weeks notice because she has a really hard time finding employees. I was going to let her know Friday but now it turns out she’s going to be gone for the rest of the week and we all have next week off. Would you send an email giving notice or wait until I see her again in person, not until July 11?

    @iiirene - this is coming from a corporate world runaway - A lot of companies have policies that they don’t let folks give more than 2 weeks notice. Some places even walk folks out the day they give their notice - I don’t know what kind of place you work at, but I would give notice based more on what I needed and what protects me vs what the company needs. Always protect yourself first! I don’t trust employers; you can bet they are always looking out for themselves. 

    I get you like your boss and don’t want to put her in a tight spot, but you aren’t actually putting her in a tight spot, the company and it’s low wages or whatever other reason it’s hard to attract staff is responsible for putting her in that spot.

    Give two weeks if you need the reference, but more than that isn’t required.

    I'm here, we went out of town last week for a wedding, and on the way home I ended up throwing my back out...which was very not fun since we still had 1.5hrs in the car. It's mostly better now, but still a bit sore. It also happened at the start of FW, so *perfect* timing -_-

    @optimistgardener re the dailies, for me it seems like there aren't a lot of us participating in the dailies for various reasons, so for those who do it almost feels like I'm talking to the wind. Which, I realize, creates a vicious cycle.

    @optimistgardener I haven't been posting in the dailies because my cycle got screwed up from being sick twice, so I don't think I ovulated and I have no clue when AF is coming. Hopefully next cycle I will!

    @rockstarmomma152 thanks for the input. I will probably wait until after our break and do it in person. My dad said something similar about putting myself and needs first, I just have a habit of putting myself lower on the priority list a lot of times.

    @iiirene - I know how that is! It can feel totally uncomfortable to take care of yourself first, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. The more we practice, the better it feels.

    From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
    Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.

    Ohio, but in a different corner of the state from @ejoseph16 ;) 

    On a related note, I took today off to bike ride through part of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The bike path goes through a lot of dense forest with the Cuyahoga River on one side and the ruins of the Ohio & Erie Canal on the other. It's worth a visit if you're ever in the Cleveland-Akron area!

    @hestia-is-wearie - I’ve been wanting to buy a bike now that I don’t have as much access to mountains for hiking. I need some kinda hybrid road/trail bike, probably like a gravel bike since there are some good dirt roads to ride on here. But I get supremely overwhelmed at all the options!

    @acleverusername I love corgis! Does that redeem me in your eyes? Those little fluff butts are pure joy. No such thing as too many!


    I should add I don't dislike all beaches. I loved the beach in Aruba!

    @emeraldduchess you have more than redeemed yourself! I <3 corgis (have one right now; looking for a companion for her) and I <3<3<3 Aruba. Aruba was my first solo destination and I have so many many favorable memories of my trip.
