What is sounding really good right now? Or yet, what can you not stomach right now?

  • I was only about 5 dpo and I was all of a sudden craving cheddar and sour cream ruffles. And anything too spicy makes me nauseous. Definitely craving more sweets.

  • Any kind of meat is already a hard pass. I’ve had very little appetite the last two weeks, which is so the opposite of my other pregnancies. Either pretzels or crackers with cream cheese has been a pretty safe go to, for some reason!

  • I haven’t been as hungry as I was with my other two at all; anything very salty or hot cheese!
  • At 5w1d, so far I've maintained my usual appetite and taste palate but am anxiously awaiting for that to change soon. I cooked salmon last night (getting that DHA in!) while I know I can still stomach it. I did end up instacart'ing some Ben & Jerry's last night though - I had a bit of my daughter's popsicle and had a strong craving for ice cream, which I usually never eat. 
  • I can’t get enough fruit! The thought of it makes me salivate 😭. Trying to balance it out with veggies too but oh man all I want is fruit morning moon and night
  • Veggies, veggies and more veggies! I want avocado, kale, cabbage, salad, peppers, cucumbers…give me all the veggies!
  • All the savory things! I have a terrible sweet tooth normally, but right now, all I want are savory foods. (I should have known I was pregnant when I went to the grocery store for our weekly shopping and impulse bought beef jerky, nacho cheese, and tuna pouches.)
  • Weirdest thing for me so far was the other night I woke up at 4am and the only thing in the world I wanted was broccoli dipped in ranch. I ended up placing an instantcart order right then and had it for breakfast 😂

    I've been super turned off of most meat though I managed to have some grilled chicken breast last night. Going to have to look at alternative protein sources if this stays my norm.
  • I've been unsuccessfully trying to eat the same foods I always eat. I can't stomach them, all I can seem to eat is bread and KD.
  • I love this board, nice and active already! Just to push, can the Knottie peeps please change your name to something else? It’s so hard to tell who’s posting where, and I like to see what’s trending from everybody! 

    My food so far has been pretty normal- I feel I’ve ramped up my intake a bit, but that makes sense since I’m still nursing and now pregnant. Lots of salty food mostly. I had more bread this past week than I usually do, but I’m not going to blame that on the pregnancy- more my parents eating style. I’m sure more cravings are coming!
  • I've been craving pizza like crazy! Anything really savory is right up my alley these days.

    I haven't noticed any cravings yet. But I am embarrassed to admit that I've used my positive test to TOTALLY throw my diet out the window. I've been having pizza, pasta, ice cream, breakfast burritos.  :/

  • @LaceyBee522 lol, I feel the same way! Aside from drinking a ton of water, I’m a bit ashamed of my food choices over the last few days. I’m craving meats and salad, but I also ate a good portion of a Pillsbury cinnamon roll last night that tasted really good 🙄 I also seem to have ramped up my potato chip eating with my 2YO. I think it’s the salt and some extra carbs I’m mostly craving.
  • What I WANT to be eating is Cheez-it’s. What I’m NOT eating is Cheez-it’s. This is because my husband forgot to bring them home for me after I requested them. This isn’t so much a pregnancy craving as I just love cheez-it’s. Good thing I love him. 
  • @kristinl492 Lol, he’s lucky you’re being kind and patient. Make him buy you the toasty cheez-its- they’re the BEST! 🤤
  • @cpk3535 I was JUST coming over hear to rec the toasty cheeze-its. They are so much better than the regular ones. @kristinl492 cannot recommend the toasty ones, enough!

    @LaceyBee522 @kristinl492 lol, I understand! Actually, when I discovered toasty, it reminded me of Cheezits from my childhood when sometimes the bag you would pick up was just a little toastier than normal. I loooved those ones, and now they sell them as an on-purpose flavor! Awesome 😎 
  • Nothing sounds good except vegetables.  I had mashed potatoes and broccoli for dinner and the mashed potatoes were not very good.  :(  

    But I did have a small part of a cookie from Crumbl and the nausea I’m feeling now was worth it. 
  • I made my husband go out for ramen three times this week and Indian twice…the craving of the month is officially spicy savory! (I also craved spicy food with DS, which did not pair well with HG 😖) 
  • Cheese, nuts, chocolate, meat. No aversions yet, but I want to eat lot! 
  • Salads are sounding so good right now, and Macadamia nuts and plain potato chips seem to be giving me the salt I’m craving. Salt is normally my thing anyway, but it’s been especially delicious lately. Countering that with lots and lots of water, particularly Hint waters - not sweet but just something to taste. Watermelon’s my favorite flavor!

    6w along. I'm grossed out and gag at the thought of any food right now :/  I did manage to eat buttery noodles with tofu from Noodles & Co today though!   And lottttts of saltines. 
  • Craving real Ramen (not the packaged kind), snow cones, strawberry açaí refreshers
    Anything I’m not craving tastes bland or a little bit off
  • @slithica me too on the burgers!!  I packed my 2 toddlers up in the car last week on a 90 degree day and drove to Culver's in rush hour traffic for a butterburger  :D   Also craving turkey sandwiches...I know some steer clear of cold cuts but I've caved to the cravings...
  • I think this baby thinks it was conceived on a tropical island (it wasn't..). I cannot stop drinking coconut milk. I'm putting it in everything. Right now I'm drinking raspberry lemonade WITH coconut milk. So weird.

  • @LaceyBee522 that sounds so good!! You know what? Both of my previous pregnancies did happen on a tropical island (Maui), so this is the first California based baby all the way! I’m going to seek out some coconut milk drinks today, too! 😋
  • I'm 5 weeks, 2 days and V8 carrot ginger juice mixed with orange juice with pita crackers or plain Ruffles are my go to right now because the nausea is real y'all. I can also eat mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, or grilled chicken, but only if someone else cooks it because the smell of cooking anything makes me gag right now. My husband offered me watermelon yesterday and I ate two little chunks that were the best thing I'd eaten in days then the third chunk wasn't sweet and suddenly I was done with watermelon apparently.
  • PICKLES and pickle juice. I've always loved pickles but at 5 weeks and 3 days, that's all I ever want and think about them all the time. I've noticed pickle juice helps my nausea almost instantly.
  • Ran out to the store to get milk for the kids yesterday afternoon, decided in the car ride over that I was really craving regular Ruffles and onion dip.  Picked up a few other items and checked out, eager to dig into my Ruffles and dip on the car ride home, only to realize walking to the car that I forgot the kids milk.... :D. Had to run back but the Ruffles and onion dip DID hit the spot ! 
  • @knottie68affa629cb407d5 have you tried pickle juice with sparkling water?? I just saw that on reels and I kinda want to try it.

    Also, can you please change your knottie name to something more memorable, so it is easier to get to know you? :)

  • I have been craving salty brothy soup and anything savory. I’ve also been dipping Funyuns in pickle juice lol it is so satisfying!!

    I just ran to Cumbies to get some afternoon snacks and they brought back the three cheese 3D Doritos!!! These are my favorite chips EVER and I have already texted DH that we have to stock up because they are limited edition. I'M SO EXCITED. (sorry, screaming is necessary)

  • I’ve been really into the Mocha flavored Baby Booster smoothies lately! I make them with banana & almond milk — the flavor is mocha but there’s no caffeine.
  • What I would like to eat right now is a huge bowl of cookie dough ice cream with peanut butter and something crunchy but my willpower is having me wait until breakfast.
  • I’m so jealous of everyone being able to eat stuff. I can’t eat hardly anything. Pretty much no meat and I eat just because if I don’t I feel even sicker. Mostly carbs and starches…
