@angbaby83 I read that craving/being able to keep down only carbs is a safety type mechanism during pregnancy, since that’s the safest food you’re not likely going to get any kind of food poisoning from (vs meat if it’s not cooked enough, or contaminated fruits or veggies) - I thought that was interesting!
8 weeks here, and FINALLY able to eat more in between the nausea, and I’m actually craving spicy! Which is the weirdest thing when I’m so nauseous so often.
Eating is an absolute struggle right now, but at least my cravings have shifted from spicy ramen and eggs benedict to house salads. It’s so much easier on my very angry stomach.
I tried my hand at homemade fried pickles in the air fryer last night. We didn't have egg, so the toppings didn't stick that well, but it was such a pain in the ass to make that I made myself eat them all lol. It hit the spot, and now I know for next time.

I just want to eat fat, dairy, sugar, and protein. I think maybe my body wants to fatten up extra fast this time because I was at my lowest weight in almost 20 years. It's hard to believe last month I was only eating vegetable mush basically because I was battling a digestive issue. I didn't know if I would ever eat normal again and now I'm all about ice cream and cheese which were unthinkable at that time.
I go from craving fresh, crunchy garden salads to wanting all the fried foods and processed meat. I told my husband I wanted nothing more tonight than to have a platter of mozzarella sticks to eat while we watch Stranger Things 😂
I cant seem to eat much. I'm not having cravings or aversion. I was doing keto before I found out I was pregnant. I have been enjoying eating more fruit as with keto it was off limits. I need ideas for lunches. What are you all eating for lunch?
@ridedatide I’ve been eating leftovers from dinner. I’ve been eating chicken soup, lentils, steamed vegetables, and gluten free pizza. I have been noticing is that I have a higher aversion to meats since pregnancy started.
