Our renters move in tomorrow, which means we are done painting/cleaning/doing yard work for a house we are not living in. There are 8 million boxes to be unpacked at the new house still, but I’m not doing sh*t tomorrow! I’m so happy to just have 1 house to deal with now 😄

I was just on the phone with my husband and got what felt like a swift kick a couple inches to the right of my belly button. It is the first time I’ve felt anything on my right side! It was so sudden I went “OOP” and made him all curious, told him “I got kicked” and it took a second for him to process that I didn’t get kicked off the phone call, I got kicked from the ❣️inside❣️ There is NO WAY to prepare yourself for this lovely feeling, is there? Not like there’s a visual or audial cue 😂
@pangolindrome By the end of the pregnancy, i's a great feeling 90% of the time! The other 10% of the time you end up thinking, can't I get a short break, please? But yes, it takes quite a while for the novelty to wear off! 🥰

So as a social worker this (second part) is good vibes: apparently there is a baby board book they are trying to ban from libraries. I kid you not, a baby board book. Anyway, my sweet mother made a point to buy it for the baby 💕 makes my heart proud that my mom and our extended family will be so inclusive and supportive of everyone and teach that to Remy!

Everywhere Babies it was on the list proposed to Floridas school districts. The reviewing board didn’t find anything wrong with it, but it was placed on the list by the conservative group for review due to portraying LBGTQ families.
The therapist in me never ceases to be amused by this.

We've almost finished moving into our new house, the weather is cooling down so we can sit outside nearly all the time now, I got an extension request approved for my assignment and think I'll be able to hand it in before the new deadline and my new job is so amazing! So much to be thankful for, but I will be even more thankful once our house is unpacked & my assignment is handed in 🤣
I’ve been away since Thursday on a trip for work that turned out to be kind of pointless and I’ve felt weird being away from home for so long… but tomorrow morning is my flight home! I can’t wait to see my husband and my pup and cuddle with them as soon as I get home 🥰
My mom is buying 1 little thing off of my registry each week. It’s so sweet. These amazon boxes just keep showing up - mostly board books. It’s adorable. She’s so excited 💜

@trapperkeeper87 or first child = pandemic baby so we stayed home yet again🤪 jealous of library story time. I don't think they have that here...maybe I should find out for sure!
@babywiik We're (my family) just now beginning to do more normal things, so we're trying to cram as much in as we can. I haven't done story time at the library before, and all of our libraries here have small play areas, so I don't know how it'll go. 😬 These pandemic (and just before pandemic [October 2019]) babies have a lot of catching up to do!
@trapperkeeper87@newbabymama27 stupid pandemic! Norway has lifted all restrictions so things are pretty much back to normal here. Hope things are opening up for you guys too!
@babywiik oh yes now they are! But my first son was born end of Dec 2019, the first couple of months I was in the newborn daze, then things shut down and I just kept staying home 😅
