in my experience, it's sort of been two scans - for the first part (20-30 minutes) they won't talk much and will just be taking measurements and such.ย Then the last 15 minutes or so they'll show you all kinds of different things (usually your partner isn't allowed in for the first bit but can be in for this bit).

I am finding names that I like, but haven't found a few that I REALLY like or that "feels right" - I'll just keep perusing the online lists!

They got him a couple of Golden Bears shirts, a Columbia baby backpack (itโs really nice, good for day trips), and three onesies. He pulled them out and I broke inside even if I managed to keep it together outwardly.
I just wanted to cry and it felt really inappropriate, but now we haveย things and what if something goes wrong and we have to give back those things? We talked through it on the way home and he had some similar fears. Heโs under tremendous pressure as it is. I cried most of the way home and we kept talking through what we were both feeling. Apparently my fear of spontaneous-abortion-on-toilet has been switched for fear-of-having-things.ย
Rave: My husband is truly amazing and I want to give him everything he wants in life. I feel so fortunate to live life with my best friend and confidante.ย

Somewhere on their website you should be able to find local groups where people can give you personal insight and some of those groups often have a Facebook group too. I know at least in my area our group is fairly active and has definitely helped with questions I might have and in researching providers here.

ย Rant- office has a major COVID outbreak after a huge meeting the other week (200 people- half caught COVIDโฆthey shut the office for a week because of that). Now they want to have another in person meeting next eeek which Iโm again refusing to go to, and people are annoyed I wonโt be there in person to โget to know me.โ This is work- not a dating website or little social group, I donโt care about getting to know people in person if it requires risking getting COVID since none of them seemed to follow any precautionary measures. We are hitting targets and on pace to end the year ahead of goal so Iโm annoyed they keep putting pressure on in person meetings when remote work has already proven to be successful.ย

Rave: My hubby, who is self-admittedly not an openly emotional person, has started doing things like looking at cribs and talking about baby stuff on his own. It's a little thing, but for him to do that and talk to me about it means he actually is REALLY excited on the inside.

@dvmmama do you think your back and leg pain could be sciatica? It originates in the lower back near the spine and can radiate down the leg.ย
@mamamoomoo12 keep my posture in check. I notice as my belly gets bigger i arch my back. I know its normal but at this point I can still keep my weight shifted to my heels and I think it really helps. Other than that, stretching and keeping movement in my back. My hip flexors get really tight which pulls my lower back, hips and pelvis out of alignment. Mamastrong has a fix-me where you roll out the hip flexors with a tennis ball. Maybe you could find something similar on YouTube?? Mamastrong as a free 14 day trial if you're interested.ย
For everyone playing the name game, some advice I got from my sister. Make a list of your favorite names, doesn't have to be long. Then add in a few names you know your partner will veto and then give him the list and make him choose one. Also, try not to stress. Your baby will have a name๐ I know, easier said than done. When naming my daughter, there was one and only one name my husband didn't veto...that's my daughter's name. This time there's at least 1 boy name and 1 girl name that he's said maybe to๐
Also we have nasty wind and sleet here today. I'm ready for some spring weather. We went to dinner last night and there were crocuses so I was pretty excited about that.
@babywiik I like that idea with names. I think I might employ it, though there really aren't makes I love for a girl and he's set on the boy name already.ย
@lucyg00cy I didn't think covid was here in nh that bad yet. We don't have any cases in our school so I'm sure coming back from break after next week will be awful. The article I just read said hospitalization continue to go down so don't worry too much especially if you're vaccinated.ย

I've used both of those resources. I've also joined some local mom groups to the areas where I think I will be more successful Buffalo accepted me and I've gotten some good information there on who will do vbacs, I'm waiting for Rochester to accept me. My hardest problem is finding ones that are vba2c tolerant. You can find info on vbacs for more places and the lists from vbac link and ican is great at that, what they struggle with is finding places for after 2 sections and many places will allow for one but not for 2.ย One thing I find very interesting is that both NY and NH do not allow for vba2c outside of a hospital. It's in their midwife laws. I read so many people having hba2c or hba3c on the vbac link facebook group and I'm so sad that I can't even find hospitals local to me that will allow for the vba2c and I will have to drive 1.5 hours no matter if I live inย
