@mflowers929 I am in big baby brain mode too, so many word finding problems, and I kept forgetting to turn on my heating pad last night.
Y'all, I just had a full meeting with the VP of HR (Zoom, thank goodness) holding back from gagging. I was fully expecting to have to get up and run to the garbage, but I didn't!
Second pregnancy and I don’t remember my food aversions being this intense. I know I need to eat but nothing seems appetizing (salty, sweet, savory etc) all I can seem to tolerate is warm water with ginger and room temperature water. I do eat, but I never finish a full meal because I just can’t stomach anymore.
Hi all! Okay so I’m 6W6D in my first-ever pregnancy, and logically I know that I’m not actually showing yet… but I’m so so so bloated that I swear it already kind of looks like I am! I’m extremely surprised because I thought a first pregnancy wouldn’t show until much later. My respect for all the women in my life who’ve had to maneuver first trimester woes and still function in society - especially before people knew they were pregnant - has grown exponentially! You’re all amazing!
Other than that, lots of nausea and constipation - any constipation advice?? - peeing all the time, and pretty bad insomnia too (frequent wake-ups and can’t fall back asleep). I get hit with extreme hunger only to get full super quickly, like a weird yo-yo effect. And I’m normally a huge coffee drinker but currently can’t stand even the smell of coffee!
5 weeks along. I've been having extremely vivid dreams since conceiving! And yes, plenty of fatigue. I could nap anytime. I'm feeling nauseous here and there but it's usually fixed with a snack. Oh, and the sore swollen boobs continue!
@joyfulchickadee Besides the usual advice to drink a TON of water I take Natural Calm or use a topical magnesium cream - I haven't started doing this yet, but I am sure I will need to.
@allie1365 The vivid dreams are so weird! The night before the bfp I dreamed that it was positive even though I obviously had no idea.
@allie1365 with DS I had extremely vivid dreams for the first and second trimester and they were ALL sex dreams with ex boyfriends 😬 It was… good and bad haha
After days of worrying, it just now dawned on me that the mostly mild period-like cramps I've been having may be constipation. Does that track? It would certainly explain a lot, especially the no spotting (thankfully) and feeling like I need to fart but not being able to.
@mflowers929 Im 4w5d and the baby brain has already set in I feel like.
This pregnancy was a huge surprise. Our wedding date was set for 10/8 and honeymoon booked and paid for in Mexico. Needless to say I had to replan everything. But. Once the shock and acceptance wore off, (which took a few days) we are so excited.
This is my 2nd pregnancy. My first was a girl and that pregnancy was 13 years ago. (Was also the most stressful and sad period of my life as I was young, my parents were going through a divorce and my brother died unexpectedly shortly after I found out about the pregnancy)
So far my main symptoms have been swollen tender breasts. Bloating. baby brain (which I didn't think was possible this early), shortness of breath and fatigue.
No food aversion yet.
Before this pregnancy I would wake up 3 to 4 times a night. Now I'm only up once for a restroom run. Dreams have been vivid but not terrible like my first go round (yet).
I tell my little girl this evening in hopes that she's excited.
Of course my nausea has been better the last few days since starting the b6, and then it rears its head the second I wake up for a loooooong day returning to class after spring break. (I'm a nontraditional student making a career change and currently back in school full time to do so).
Ohhhh @fantasyflyte I’m sorry! Take some more B6+unisom and a weird thing that often help me is anything sour, particularly sour patch kids or lime juice in a drink! I hope your day turns around 🤞
I woke up yesterday feeling like I got hit by the pregnancy bus 🤪 nausea, headache, body aches, sooo tired. Hooray hormones. Relieving to know things are likely developing well, but it’s much worse this time compared to the first two.
@Gingermom15 I feel the exact same way! This is my third pregnancy and I swear it's been so much worse (though my husband apparently remembers the last 2 differently!)
@mali0902 I wonder if it just gets worse each time? I only had heartburn with my first, then these symptoms didn’t start until after 8 weeks with my second child. This will definitely be my last pregnancy, this is rough!
I had almost no symptoms up until now, i'm around 7 or 8 weeks. Last night I felt like I was rocking back and forth on a boat (extreme nausea and motion sickness) and gas pains at the same time. Laying on my side hurt, I couldn't sleep. Sore boobs (esp. when I run ) My ribs are cramping?? And upper back pain? But I am really thankful for these weird symptoms bc now I can stop panicking that something's wrong. 😌
@mali0902 before we had our first we decided on 4.
Then we had two 28 months apart lol it took us almost 4 years to decide if we would have a third or be done. I can absolutely say I am done and it feels complete. These tubes are coming out with my repeat cs 😂
I'm contemplating if I want to get my tubes tied when I have my CS as well lol. I love my kids but my oldest will be just over 4 when this one is born and I just don't know if I can handle more without going crazy, not to mention the craziness of my last 2 pregnancies. But then what if I decide that I want just one more in like 3 years? lol. I'm still young enough that I could have more. So hrmmm

@mflowers929 I’ll be 32 in July. Not old by any means but each pregnancy is more rough. I am 100% certain. If you are on the fence, maybe wait until the baby is a couple years old to decide anything permanent? I had an IUD between my last pregnancy and this one and loved it. No babies until I was ready.
@Gingermom15 I am definitely feeling you on that the symptoms get much more intense each time. I am really struggling today and on top of the anxiety of the first tri I am overwhelmed.
Today nausea, stomach cramps, exhaustion, moodiness are all setting in hard.
@Gingermom15 I'm going to be 35 when this baby is born. Definitely each pregnancy is more rough! I keep asking hubby what sort of contraception we should use and he hasn't really answered yet lol. I always wanted 3 kids, but he didn't want any. Since we had our son now he wants all the babies XD

@ponyoisfun I always seem to forget how much anxiety comes with pregnancy. Not a fan. Thankfully I am medicated now thanks to the pandemic so this time is slightly better. Highly recommend lol.
@mflowers929 that’s a tough call for sure. When one feels done and the other wants more, it’s hard to compromise!
I am absolutely FREEZING. Like sitting here with a sweater, my robe, and the heater turned on (which is rare) and still feeling cold. I actually had hypothyroid with one of my losses so I'm wondering if it reared up again =/

I've started to realize that my ramped up anxiety the last few days has corresponded with nights of little/poor sleep. Adding unisom to my regimen, hopefully it helps me sleep and sleeping better helps the anxiety!
I am so tired today. I know we're all tired, but I don't know that I was this tired last time around. It feels like there is a weight on my head, eyes, shoulders, arms, legs...
Had spotting AND cramping last week and was a wreck. Had my first US and BPM was 118 and I was 6w2D on the day of US. Baby is great! I had a clot which was dissolving and a fibroid. So for anyone out there who may be experiencing this here is a little bit of hope and happy vibes that it doesn’t ALWAYS mean MC.
@PurplePumpernickel omg, SO tired. I texted hubby last night at work and told him that I don't know if I've ever felt this tired. And then of course I felt like crap. And was training for a new part of my job today. Ugh. Hubby works evenings so I have a feeling that once he leaves I'm just going to lay down in the kids room and try to ignore them jumping on me lol

Im approximately 6w3d and I feel like I got hit by a truck. Nauseous with waves of dry heaving - I’ve only actually thrown up once so far. Nothing sounds good to eat and all I want to do is sleep except at night. Blah. Hoping the nausea passes quickly.
@clee5711 I think lifestyle adjustments need to be made for pregnant mamas, such as, you’re allowed to sleep all day since we all know you’ll be up all night! There’s definitely a biological shift in it!
I have sore boobs, really painful cramps that wake me up at night, super emotional, I’m either crying or a major B, and my ute just feels full already, which is odd. It feels harder somehow, but way to early to actually be much different. I’ve noticed I’ve started bending down differently already because of the fullness. Maybe it’s just bloat but I didn’t have this feeling with the first two.
The cramps are getting to me though. I had a C-section with last baby so maybe that is it.
@database6 your uterus is growing larger slightly, and if you've already been pregnant then your body tends to know "I know what to do" and does things a little faster, so it's possible your "full" feeling is your uterus growing?

@database6 this will be my 3rd (hopefully living) baby and 7th pregnancy. My cramps yesterday were UNREAL! Nothing felt comfortable 😭 Take time to take care of yourself however you best can.
Re: March Symptoms
The other day I was like -really already?!!! I drink SO much water when pregnant and I am a vegetarian that eats mostly beans. Why?! Why?!
