Man @itsme215 now I want Jason's Deli! The closest one to us is an hour and a half away and it makes me so sad. We used to go to that city every few months for doctor's appts for DD, but she's been done with those doctors for almost two years now and I still miss it!!
@darkrose88 their potato soup is great too! I only recently tried it because broccoli cheese is my go-to but I really liked that one as well! I also like the chicken chili.
@tmartin014 we have a Jason’s Deli 5 minutes from our house… quite frankly I’m surprised this baby is not completely comprised of their soup at this point
I am super influenced by tv, social media, etc. these days! I saw an IG of a friend talking about dark chocolate reese's thins, immediately added to my online grocery shopping order (they are delicious, by the way). Today I was watching my dvr'd episode of The Amazing Race (anyone else watch?) and they were in Greece and had to spell souvlaki lol and I was like, oooh I could go for some souvlaki!
It was magically in the 60s on Wednesday and we ate outside at a restaurant. Had roasted cauliflower with butternut squash risotto and I think I need to go back for more. Another highlight of the week was Robin Eggs, I love Easter Candy season.
@lmaplejc that sounds amazing! DH and I haven't eaten inside a restaurant in 2+ years due to covid and I cannot wait for warm weather to return so we can eat outside at restaurants. We had a wonderful 60 degree day here recently where DH and I snuck out for a little day date at a brunch spot and it was amazing. Butternut squash risotto sounds right up my alley.
You wanna know what’s stupid? Making dinner every day. Do I have to feed my family every day??
Anywho, I’m thinking loaded chicken nachos, and that I should have thrown the chicken in the crockpot hours ago. But now I have to make it on the stove.
@twizzleraddict1 I'm actually sort of jealous your child just wants to eat what you're eating. DS is so picky. We can't get him to eat anything we are eating and usually have to make other food for him. However, I do feel you when it comes to drinks. Instead of asking for a particular drink, he has been known to swipe our drinks... sigh...
@twizzleraddict1 my son is 4. But he has been picky since he first started eating solids. Example, he won't touch most fruit... he eats bananas, apples and blueberries. Pretty much all other fruit we offer he won't even try. You'd think at 4 we could reason with him and have him taste test. But nope.
@darkrose88 shucks. My daughter will basically eat anything except avocado. Like literally anything haha. Which is ironic because I am sort of a particular eater myself.
So...grabbed a blueberry muffin for breakfast this morning but a couple bites in wasn't really feelin it so set it aside. Made myself some coffee and went about doing my work.
With about 5 sips left, look over at my muffin and decide I actually do want it. I take a little piece off and then take sip of my coffee. Omg was there a flavor party in my mouth! I've never been one for blueberry flavored coffee but holy crap, it was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted at the moment. Unfortunately it was short lived as I was at the end of my coffee and I'm not about to make another cup or I'll get the jitters.
@regalmommy1 I absolutely LOVE muffins & coffee together. It is up there with coffee and chocolate. There is just something about coffee enhancing the flavor of the food... yum...
@twizzleraddict1 it looks sooooooooooooo good and @bridgiebee82 my pregnancy diet for my first was almost entirely mashed potatoes. It’s a perfect food. Side note - I once threw a party and had a baked potato bar and it was kind of a hit!
@twizzleraddict1 you got the Rita's! It's still snowy here so I'm not feeling it yet, but tomorrow afternoon it's supposed to be sunny in the 50s and I think we'll have to make a family trip.
Re: February- What my Pregnant Self is Eating
We are having teriyaki salmon and probably pasta because rice doesn’t sound good.
Mine is mango ice with chocolate custard, which everyone else in the world thinks is disgusting but I love it.

Gotta love the pregnancy taste effects.
