  • Yesterday I made baked potatoes and had it with left over chili from the night before. It was so good! I'm totally going to be making more baked potatoes this coming week.
  • @darkrose88 I’ve been eating all the baked potatoes this week lol. Chili on top sounds fabulous! I’ve been wanting chili but I don’t want to make it lol
  • @paytonpedro I made the baked potatoes, but the chili was ALL DH! I'm obsessed with Wendy's chili and usually put it on top of their baked potato. After getting it 3 times in the last 2 weeks, DH was just like, I'm just gonna make a big pot of it so you get chili'd out. :D I'm not sure it worked because I'd totally make more chili (or cop out and buy it) lol.
  • @darkrose88 yum! Lucky! Lol. I’ll have to try Wendy’s! Or convince mh to make a pot of chili. 😬😬
  • @wigglyicecream haha. That one made me actually giggle. Andddd now I’m thinking of OG’s bread sticks. Mmmmm. 😋

@mangoandguava that sounds really tasty! I totally cheat and use jarred Alfredo sometimes! Usually I have mh doctor it up though lol.
  • That sounds delicious @paytonpedro 😋 we’re having gumbo tonight
  • @tmartin014 yummmm!! 😋 that sounds delicious!
  • I'm really struggling with food. I am hungry all the time. I like to eat lean cuisines for lunch but they just don't cut it anymore. trying to keep myself from getting to hungry so that I don't go overboard and then not feel well.
  • @darkrose88 yum!!! That all sounds delicious!!!!

@Katek819 I feel like I’m in a similar situation with making sure I don’t get too hungry. I’ve always had a habit of overeating because it tastes so good and this pregnancy has really not been fond of that. I feel sooooo sick if I eat too much.
  • @paytonpedro mmmmmmmnachos. Guess what we’re having for dinner tomorrow!

@KateK819 same with trying not to eat too much but also not get hungry. I’m having good luck with Welch’s Fruit Snacks (but JUST the strawberry ones). I start to feel sick if I’m hungry, but also if I eat too much. It’s a fine line to walk.

We’re having blackened chicken Alfredo with bread and some kind of canned vegetable, because that honestly just sounds safe. Right now food revolves around “safe” 😂 poor MH. I keep telling him we’ll be back to normal soon.

  • @darkrose88 That's great! I was telling my husband yesterday while making the grocery list that I can eat most foods now, and they even taste good, but I'm still not to the point where I can meal plan. Looking forward to that day...
  • @mangoandguava
i feel bad for my husband too. He asks me if i want this or that it’s making it hard to plan our meals ahead of time bc my tastes change.
  • @KateK819 right?! I asked for tonight’s dinner specifically… and now it kind of looks gross… probably because it isn’t the EXACT PRODUCT I wanted 🤦‍♀️ Stupid pandemic causing all the good stuff to be out of stock.

  • Anyone else feel like they aren't getting enough food? I never got sick or had any aversions, except maybe yogurt, but I feel like I just can't eat a lot at once. My husband thinks I'm eating less somehow and I haven't gained any weight since the very beginning (was technically up 2lbs at my last appointment, but I was also wearing flannel). Tried to prove him wrong last night and finished a big plate of spaghetti and a couple piece of Italian bread (loading up on those carbs!). Trying to bring all the snacks to work so that I'm at least eating frequently if I can't eat a lot in a meal. I've got a banana, clementine, white cheddar popcorn, a fiber one bar, by salad for lunch, and I even bought Oreos over the weekend for an evening snack. I'm sure the weight will come, but wasn't sure if anyone else was also feeling this way.

@fromfurmomtobabymom8-2 yes! I feel like I'm not eating nearly enough, and that might be why my energy is so low. I'm just not hungry and eating smaller portions at every meal.

@wisewitch222 yeah, I've been letting DH take care of meal planning and that turned into us eating out a lot last month. 🤦‍♀️ It was time for me to step up again. But I'm not gonna lie, all of the meals are crockpot meals & minimal effort (except for the stuffed peppers). Cooking long/complex meals is not high on my to do list.
  • My husband is going out of town on a ski trip this weekend, which means three days of just me and my kids (who are 100% okay with frozen pizza and mac and cheese). Next week I will try to incorporate some more grownup dinners into the meal planning.
  • @fromfurmomtobabymom8-2 I’m definitely eating less at one sitting. Our uteruses are starting to push everything else up so that can be pretty normal the further along we get. As for weight gain, I lost 8lbs before 11 weeks. I haven’t taken my weight again recently but probably will Thursday when my week switches over. My doctor wasn’t concerned at all. Maybe bring it up to your doctor at your next appt? How much she thinks you should gain? Until then, it’s good that you’ve loaded up on the snacks and just be sure to eat when you’re hungry.
  • @fromfurmomtobabymom8-2 YES! I know I am not eating nearly enough or drinking enough. I’ve been not feeling great, from not taking in enough. Called the OB and I am going to supplement with Boost since it’s easy to drink for me and is 250 calories. I have to force myself to eat, even the stuff I like.

Also things I think taste good now looks/smells horrible once I get it unless I get it quickly. Hoping hitting 2nd tri tomorrow will bring with it a better appetite
  • Tonight I’m making bbq chicken legs. Hopefully everyone likes them and doesn’t complain since it’s been a while since we’ve had them and then DS1 forgets he likes them. Lol. I haven’t decided on sides but probably pasta.

@itsme215 I made some kinda soup similar to the recipe you sent me and O. M. G. It was so good!!! I used tortellini instead of ravioli and totally cheated and used Campbell’s tomato soup as the base but it was such a hit!! My children even cleaned their bowls!  So thank you so much for the idea/recipe!!
  • @paytonpedro awesome! So glad you guys liked it! I’ve made it before with tortellini and it’s great that way as well
  • We had Wendy’s. I asked them to make me a Jr. Baconator (a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger but add ketchup and take off the veggies, if anybody wants the cheat code) and it hit the SPOT.

@paytonpedro I have no idea what you made but it sounds delicious! Tortellini are my fave.

@bridgiebee82 oooh that sounds tasty too! I love that little rice pasta, I use it to turn leftover chili into stuffed pepper mix.

  • @bridgiebee82 I love random casserole night! That sounds yummy.

@mangoandguava I wish a burger sounded good right now! I love burgers and haven't had one in months. C'mon cravings, gimme a big juicy cheeseburger!

I had Panda Express tonight, string bean chicken in a rice bowl and it was quite good. MH waited for them to make a fresh batch of the chicken which made a huge difference. Sometimes Panda is meh but tonight is was delicious.
  • @mangoandguava it was a tomato tortellini soup with Italian sausage and spinach. It was delicious!! I very loosely followed a recipe that @itsme215 shared (on the first page). I definitely only put the one cup of heavy cream and that was definitely enough. And a pound of the sausage was also enough. I put an entire bag of baby spinach though! 😋 So good!!
  • @paytonpedro dang, I’m gonna have to go find it and try it!

@starkette it was the first one I’d had in months too. It was not an objectively good burger either but you know, I’m taking the win with it 😂

  • I’m not having any cravings beyond “Oh that sounds kinda good” and getting it from the store. I have been enjoying orange juice regularly. I since found out that drinking a lot of it can be an old wives tale for having a girl!🤣 💕
Like others have mentioned, something will sound good if I’m hungry, but often not a day or two later. For example a lasagna may sound really good, but the next day it just sounds like meat, noodles, and cheese. Not baddd, just boring enough to make you ask yourself why you would want it over something else. It makes it challenging for planning out meals and shopping.
Sugar or sweets taste good, but often make my tummy uncomfortable for awhile.
