    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Boy

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an avocado

Upcoming appointments: Next week for just a regular OB check up, then will schedule anatomy scan for 4 weeks-ish from now

How are you feeling?: finally human again. I got a stomach bug last weekend and it took me a full week to recover. Not sure if there was any combination of return of pregnancy nausea but it was awful and i finally gave in last thursday and called my OB for nausea meds.  Given all that I did yesterday, I"ll say i feel more normal!

Rants/Raves: Yay for feeling better and falling asleep easier - boo for waking up at 4-5am daily and not really ever getting back into a good sleep. Any tips? Also Rant - i asked for nausea meds finally last week due to whatever was going on (generic zofran is what helped in the past) and i don't know if its a difference in my insurance or the state or the times, but holy moly. i got half the dose previously prescribed and was told they could only dispense 12 pills at a time (last 6 hours) and only 1 refill, after that it would have to be a new script.  thankfully I only had to take it for a few days but why in the world are we restricting nausea meds so much  :p (and my insurance won't cover diclegis, but unisom+b6 over the counter has never helped me much)

Questions: Any STM+ feel like they can't fully remember what having a newborn is like and all the rules and things to pay attention to? slightly debating taking an online class but will probably just save $ and read some websites and talk to you wonderful parents here   :p

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? same as @feather_heather I can only pick one? I want them all.  for me i think i'd go with a massage
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/20; 14w5d

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out, still waiting on NIPT results

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a maple leaf

Upcoming appointments: first appointment with actual OB tomorrow at the office I was referred to

How are you feeling?: ready to feel like myself again, I am struggling with nausea/food/eating in general. I kind of feel queasy almost constantly the past week or so, it got better for a few days but has ramped back up again.

Rants/Raves: We have two different days at work this week where we have to stay an hour past normal and I am more annoyed by it than I should be. The idea of having a baby and then having to leave it to go back to work after is making me sad so I think it is really ramping up my dislike for work right now. I don’t dislike my job, just the fact that I am missing time with my kids for it.

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? A deluxe mani/pedi for sure, I used to keep my nails done all the time but stopped a few months ago due to time and budget

@feather_heather it always feel so good to get your house back after having company! Also you’re giving me hope that maybe in a few weeks I’ll feel more human again!

@runnergirl2018 i am right there with you on not remembering what it’s like having a newborn, my youngest will be almost 6 when this little is born so it feels like it’s been a lifetime since I’ve had a little baby.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 13w6d, edd 7/26

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team blue

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: nectarine

    Upcoming appointments: Not until 2/9

How are you feeling?: Still waiting for my energy to come back. When do I get my energy back? 😭

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? Massage for sure. I'm a sucker for a good massage.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/26 or 13w6d

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM +1

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out! Looking like 2 pinks

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Tomorrow we switch from lemons to peaches

Upcoming appointments: Not until the beginning of Feb.

How are you feeling?: I feel fine. Still really tired and my heart rate is always going up, even if I just like bend down to pick something up. I exercise 4-5 days a week so I just monitor on my watch and listen to my body. I apparently have to be extra aware of my heart rate.

Rants/Raves: Rant: Whelp my doggo officially tore her CCL (ACL) if you remember my post last week. Surgery is scheduled for Feb 18th with a 12 week recovery period... yay. Also, as I was typing this, preschool called and said DS is sniffle-y and they're sending him home with 2 COVID tests. If he is negative, he can go back on Wednesday. I'm over this garbage. Rave: it was positive degrees today. It has been literally -10 to -30 for like 5 days here and it blows.

Questions: Asked this in the question thread but, how does everyone feel about sprinkles for subsequent kids?

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? I would also choose all of them haha. But if I was only allowed 1 I would choose massage. But I would get it now. I got a prenatal massage at 37 weeks and it was pointless, they could barely do anything and I didn't feel better haha
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 14w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+: 4TM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: green

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: troll doll

Upcoming appointments: feb 7 for a regular ob appt

How are you feeling?: still dead tired, indigestion is a bit better or I’m at least doing a better job at avoiding things that trigger it

    Rants/Raves: hello 2nd tri!!

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? Definitely a massage. I could care less about the other stuff lol
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 25 - 14 weeks

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out soon!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: peach

    Upcoming appointments: 2/11

How are you feeling?: ehhh, still nauseous

Rants/Raves: still nauseous but can eat some food!

Questions: when will the nausea go away?

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? MASSAGE :)
  • @feather_heather without my bump I'd forget I was pregnant too lol. I still get awfully tired, but at least all the other bad symptoms are gone. Gosh if my ILs lived with us I'd be driven crazy!

@runnergirl2018 this probably isn't a great tip since I don't have a problem waking up and not being able to fall back asleep... but certain breathing exercise can be helpful. What time do you usually get up for the day? Is it worth it to try going back to sleep or would it make more sense to just be up earlier for the day?

@bearsandbeets7 yuck. what do you have to stay later for? I can barely make it to 5pm some days. I can't imagine having to be at work until 6!

@stardustskies I wanna say in the last week or so my energy has gotten better. Hopefully you get there soon!

@jellie603 oh no poor doggo! Hope her surgery goes well. Is that F or C temps? You know the weather is bad when people mention negative F temps :# . DH is all about using C so I have to convert it in my head all the time. I'm getting pretty good with the cold temps so we'll see how I do as we warm up towards summer.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 14 / 15+4

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Blue

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I'm so disappointed in TB's baby fact today (am I ever not??). It says when baby is born it's stomach will be the size of a cherry. I just want to know what fruit he is :'(

Upcoming appointments: 16 week appointment on Thursday

How are you feeling?: Tired as always, but we're busy people in the winter. Not sure how I feel now that I can tell my belly button is starting to push its way out lol.

Rants/Raves: Got some maternity clothes this weekend woo! Tomorrow we're making selections for our home reno so that will be fun! Or a total headache when DH and I can't agree on something

    Questions: NATM

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? I'd have to agree that I would honestly take all of these services lol. Probably massage first, then mani/pedi, followed by the facial. Mainly because I already wash my face so that's getting pampered to some degree but I never get massages from DH nor do I ever do my nails besides clipping them when they get too long.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out via the NIPT results, hopefully by this Friday.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a peach

Upcoming appointments: next appt is in 3 weeks. They also scheduled the 20 week ultrasound for early March. Wow, so crazy!

How are you feeling?: Great! Physically and mentally. No more nausea. But really hungry. So I have to bring like 3 snacks to work in addition to my lunch! 🤣

Rants/Raves: Rant: haven't seen my parents in awhile due to covid and I don't really want to travel right now. I'm hoping they come to visit us soon cause I miss them!
Rave: I had a craving for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies last night and I made some. They really hit the spot!

GTKY: instead of the spa day I'd just like to sit outside in the sun and read a book. It's 12 degrees here in Vermont so that won't be happening anytime soon!
  • @jellie603 @inthewoods23 so cold! I’m in IL and everyone asked why we moved back from FL 🤣 we had soooo much snow yesterday and today

@inthewoods23 if it continues I might try that. I refuse to look at the time because I know that makes it worse but if I had to guess usually around 5am and then it gets worse by 6am. I don’t have to wake up until 7 am which is a new late time for me in the past year so theee a little part of me that’s rebelling against getting up earlier. I also worry about not making it through the day but it might be worth it. I could always do my workout then!
  • @lukaspartyof3 I wish o had an answer on the nausea. Mine did suddenly go away around 14 weeks for a week. Then I got sick and it took a week to recover and now the nausea is back every night 🤦🏻‍♀️ With my first it disappeared more between 16-18 weeks so I’m hoping I don’t have much more to go since I’m 16 weeks now. That 14 week think was so nice and unexpected and now I miss it 🤣 I did finally get some meds so I’m going to start taking them before dinner so I can actually function better at night and spend time with hubby and do stuff with my toddler
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/7, 16+5

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Should be blue, will know for absolute certain at anatomy scan

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby can hear my voice now! I always like it when they start to be able to hear

    Upcoming appointments: 2/17 anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: Depends on the day and the hour. I've been sick so long that a billion little things have gotten way out of hand and I don't feel good enough to put it all back together in any reasonable time frame.

Rants/Raves:Rant: I am still unpredictably feeling like crap and it is screwing with my mental health.
Rave: I do love my doctor. Like love love. I don't feel stressed going to apts. She let me come in for a check when I fell just to make me feel better. And she has the best resources. Like the woman who does medical ultrasounds in her home so my husband and kiddos can be there too. I'm so glad I went this way. I would be hating this pregnancy by now without her and 100 times more stressed than I already am.

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? Massage. I haven't really gotten the other stuff done and I don't really want to.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a Poptart!

Upcoming appointments: Just a checkup Thursday and quad screen

How are you feeling?: I'd say just okay as I've been having poor sleep along with back pain. Ordered a pregnancy pillow so hoping that helps a little bit!

Rants/Raves: Rant: I really hope our hospital changes back to allowing one visitor soon atleast for my 20 weeks ultrasound considering that will be the most important one for my husband to be at!

    Questions:

GTKY: If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? I've been having frequent back pain the last couple days so I'd definitely kill for a massage right now!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a donut! 🍩 that sounds really big

    Upcoming appointments: 2/15

How are you feeling?: H and I both had bad colds (negative for COVID) at the end of last week, but finally back to normal today. Trying to eat more as I’m still feeling lightheaded and haven’t gained much weight yet.

Rants/Raves: is winter over yet? I’m getting cabin fever over here lol. I’m glad to see COVID numbers improving where I live and looking forward to hopefully seeing more friends and family next month.

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? Massage for sure. I started doing my own nails with dip powder during the pandemic and love it so much. I do still go to the salon for pedis sometimes, which is mostly for the massage.

Upcoming appointments: Literally just got my letter through for my 20 week scan on 9th Feb!

How are you feeling?: Hungry all the time and aching all over but my mood feels generally better recently which is amazing, I was so fed up of feeling grumpy all the time

Rants/Raves: All the raves this week, MIL's birthday the other day but I had to leave early for work so she sent my husband home with cake and wine which is all I'm gonna have today! She also got us this beautiful Moses basket and stand in the style I wanted so very grateful for that, also so grateful to my husband being so sweet and supportive I told him I couldn't stop thinking about a proper chicken burger from a chippy and he picked up dinner on his way home from the gym last night

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? A massage would be the dream or to get eyelash extensions again, I always found this so relaxing

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Blue!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Orange

Upcoming appointments: None scheduled atm - anatomy scan in March and I'm sure I'll have an OB appt soon

How are you feeling?: Pretty good *knocks on wood* we had two back to back awful illnesses in my house. My son started a new preschool and is bringing home ALL the germs. First one, we thought was covid, but tested negative on 3 rapid tests and one PCR so who knows. We recovered, all went back to work/preschool for two days, and he brought home a violent stomach bug. Yesterday was the first day in 2 weeks I haven't had a headache so I am cautiously optimistic that I am turning the corner!

Rants/Raves: Rant - because we were so sick my brother was in town with my niece and nephew and we completely missed them. I'm so sad! Haven't seen them since July.

    Questions:

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? I would normally probably say facial, but I actually haven't had one since covid and not sure how I feel about a long maskless appt, so I'm going mani/pedi right now! What I actually *really* need is to find a good salon/haridresser. We moved last summer, I had one haircut in August and it was terrible, so I haven't gone again and have been colouring my own hair at home. Why are good hairdressers like unicorns? I really need to find someone I like, so hopefully I have more luck next time!
  • @zinnia19 not gonna lie, even being super cold, the idea of sitting in the sun (indoors!) relaxing and reading a book sounds lovely! I couldn't care less what the temperature was, if it's sunny outside I'm happy. Even when we get the negative or single digit temps.

@runnergirl2018 we lived in AZ for a couple years before moving to WI and I got that question a lot too of why would we move somewhere cold. We had to move due to my dad's job! I really do appreciate actually having all 4 seasons though. It's boring for winter to be 60 degrees. That's like hoodie weather here in the fall or winter haha. I know further south when it's below 60 people bring out winter coats

@tuxielove93 I got so lucky too being at a practice that allows up to 2 healthy people with you (presumably a husband and 1 kid or something). I can't imagine not being able to let DH come in to see the ultrasounds. DH is also super excited that baby is starting to be able to hear. He likes to put his face close to my belly and say "hello in there" like Andre the Giant in The Princess Bride :D. He also keeps pressing my belly hoping to feel some movement but I'm not even feeling anything when he does it. Gotta have patience!

@cmhme oohh yes just chilling with a quiet waterfall and maybe some ambient music. That does sound amazing! I think my GTKY question has convinced me that I will regret not doing at least some of these spa treatments at least once this pregnancy.

@novaghost99 hope things change in the next 3 weeks so YH can go to the anatomy scan!

@creativesoul63 I'm not sure I've heard of dip powder for nails. How does that work and what does it look like in the end?

@rosegoldg you wanna share some of that cake? haha :yum: I haven't had that for a while. I could probably ease that craving with a tub of frosting. That's the best part

@francesgs that's how I felt with covid. I wouldn't have known any different from a cold. Hope everyone recovers soon in your house!

@courtneyqdk I was just talking about this with some other friends and apparently a lot of people will drive ridiculous distances to stay with the hairstylist they like! I actually wonder if it's what my mom has been doing since they moved a little over an hour closer to be near us. My mom gets her hair cut every 6 weeks or so (super short hair, obviously) and had asked me who I see but I was like "I go [here] but I'm trying to find someplace else so that I'm not spending $60+ on a trim". I'm sure $60 is in the middle for what I could be spending on a haircut. I'm cheap AF and need to stop being so damn frugal.

  • @courtneyqdk I don’t know but I have such a hard time with hair dressers. I was a hair model when I was 16 and they butchered my hair and I’ve had a thing about it ever since.

  • @inthewoods23 checked with my ob today and they are allowing one visitor for all ob related appointments luckily! Huge relief!
  • @inthewoods23 there’s a base coat that you put on like nail polish and then you dip your finger into a colored powder and it sticks to the nail. You repeat that a couple times then you brush on a different liquid to solidify/set it, then there’s a clear top coat. It lasts 2-3 weeks like a gel mani does but you don’t have to use a U/V light. It’s the only at home thing I’ve tried that gives me lasting, professional looking results and I’ve tried other stuff like Jamberry, Color Street, regular nail polish, at home gel manis, etc. Here’s my mani right now:

  • @creativesoul83 I've always wanted to try the at-home dip but wasn't sure if I needed to invest in the light or not. Can you link the brand you get so I can scope it out??
  • Sorry for the late check-in. It’s been just one of those weeks.

@feather_heather I forget that I’m pregnant all the time! I almost wish I would just pop already and I could start feeling movement. But I think I’m probably about a month away from that. I’m glad you got your house back to yourself. I couldn’t imagine having my MIL stay at our house.

@runnergirl2018 I’m sorry you got the stomach bug too. It’s definitely been going around. But I’m glad you’re finally feeling better.

@bearsandbeets7 I’m sorry you had to stay late at work. I hate when that happens. We work so much as it is. Part of me wishes I could go down to part time permanently. That would be an ideal situation.

@stardustskies I finally started to feel like I had energy this week, so hopefully you’re not far behind! FX!!

@jellie603 I’m so sorry about your poor puppy. Like I said last week, my dog tore hers a couple years ago, so if you have any question let me know. One thing the vet told us was that once they tear one side they are very likely to tear the other at some point. Which ended up being true for us. We repaired the first one but then opted to not repair the second. By the time her second one tore she had developed really bad arthritis in that hip, so the repair wouldn’t have made much of a difference (per the vet). She has healed up on her own tho and is able to put weight on it now. Good luck.

@lilirunning34 What are some of your triggers for indigestion? I really need to work on that because my heartburn is starting to kick in already and it got BAD last pregnancy.

@lukaspartyof3 I’m sorry you’re still nauseous. Hopefully it will go away soon for you. I do know some women have nausea throughout their whole pregnancy. So I would say if yours still hasn’t eased up in a couple more weeks then I would talk to your doctor about it. Maybe they can give you something to help.

@inthewoods23 My belly button definitely got distorted last time but it never actually pushed its way out. I think that’s the cutest thing tho! Share pictures of your reno please!!!! I need to live vicariously through you! Lol

@zinnia19 What have you been bringing to work for snacks? I need ideas lol.

@tuxielove93 I’m so glad you found a doctor you love. That’s so important, especially during this time. I’m sorry you’re still feeling sick. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Maybe she can give you something?

@cmhme Ooooo, monster cookies sound delicious! I’m sorry about the daycare closure but glad he tested negative. DS has been tested soooo many times in the past couple months due to exposure. It’s been traumatizing for him (and me)!

@novaghost99 I’m sorry you’re having back pain. I suffer from that every once in a while too. What pillow did you end up getting? I’m also really hoping MH can come to the anatomy scan. That would suck if he had to miss out on that one too.

@creativesoul63 I’m soooo over winter too. We can’t wait for our vacation in a couple weeks. That will help some, I hope. I LOVE your nails! I just recently started doing dip powder nails too. It’s fun! But takes me forever lol. I haven’t done them since finding out I was pregnant (and actually ripped off my nails and destroyed them, since I didn’t want to use acetone). I just bought a cheap kit off of amazon and it says not to use while pregnant. So I haven’t gotten to do it again since. I finally have healthy nails again lol.

@rosegoldg I’m glad you’re not feeling grumpy anymore. I feel the same way. There’s just some sort of energy going around right now. I love it!

@francesgs I’m sorry you all have covid. I’m glad your symptoms are mild. I think the quarantine is worse when you’re not feeling that awful. It makes everyone a little stir crazy.

@courtneyqdk I’m sorry for all the sickness. That is the worst. I feel like we’ve been sick every other week for the past 2 months. I finally feel like I have energy again. I hope it stays that way! I hope you guys stay healthy for a good long while too!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 29th, 14w

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team pink!!!!!!!!! Omg that feels so weird to say!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Mille-feuille

Upcoming appointments: Not until mid Feb

How are you feeling?: Great! I finally feel like I have energy again. And I’m finally not sick with whatever random bug DS brings come from daycare.

Rants/Raves: Rave: Starting to panic a little bit about our upcoming trip to Florida. DS will not keep a mask on. He’s only 2. I just really hope we can make it through the flight without being yelled at. But other than that, I think I’m just getting more excited to be soaking up some sunshine soon!

Rant: Other than the family drama I shared on the random thread, this week has kinda been a drag. DS spiked a fever of 100.4 at daycare on Tuesday. So I had to rush to go get him. Once I got him home though he never had a temp over 100… so I don’t know what was going on. He has had this terrible cough for about 3 weeks. We took him in and they did a covid test which came back negative. I’m still a little pissed that they didn’t test him for anything else. But anyways, he got to go back to school on Thursday. Work has been so incredibly slow lately. On top of that, my supervisor doesn’t want me working with the chemicals, so half my job has to be done by another employee. And then yesterday another tool of mine was reassigned to a different employee… So now I have the smallest case load with absolutely nothing to do. BUT I also have no motivation to go find work for myself either. Part of me kinda wants to start looking into switching careers… But I also don’t want to do that while pregnant either. It’s a conundrum.

    Questions: nope

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? I had a massage last pregnancy that left me sore for days afterwards. So, I think I’d go with a facial. I’ve always wanted to try one!

  • @LJMoon6 I ended up getting a C shaped pillow off Amazon that should be coming today so fingers crossed it helps! I'm very jealous you're going somewhere warm as I am already sick of winter and just told MH that I need a tropical vacation soon!
  • @LJMoon6 I have mentioned it to my doctor. It’s so much better than it was I feel kind of silly taking medicine now. Plus no other over the counter meds I tried even helped. B6, those little candy things which worked and then did NOT. I also suck at taking stuff so if I have to swallow a pill I gag and that’s not going to end well right now.

  • @LJMoon6 Thanks! I started feeling like myself again on Wednesday. It's crazy how it was just like a switch flipped and I'm normal again. Don't worry about the flight, they are super understanding with kids. My 3 year old kept pulling his mask under his nose and they didn't say anything. The air filtration in planes is great.
  • @jellie603 @LJMoon6 I use www.sparkleandco.com and www.peppigel.com. I prefer the liquids from Sparkle and Co, they are easier to use and give a better shine. There’s no warnings about using their products when pregnant but I actually wear a ventilator when I do my nails anyway because I’m sensitive to the smell. Sparkle and Co offers low scent liquids too but haven’t tried those yet. There’s a ton of great YouTube tutorials out there for tips and tricks and easy nail art, I got obsessed pretty quickly!
  • @novaghost99 that's a relief! So glad he can come with you now

@LJMoon6 we had an appointment at a flooring/cabinet place making selections this week and took some samples home (which I need to return today darn it!). They don't really have what we're looking for and just trying to fit in these appointments during the work day while being busy in the evenings with the robotics team, I think we're going to be pushing the reno off. We haven't actually come up with a budget. Both of us being engineers we're kind of flying by the seat of our pants with purchases sometimes in that if we just wait, we'll have more saved up and won't have to sacrifice what we really want for something else that's cheaper and either ugly or just not what we really love. Considering the size of this project we really should set a budget :#. I think by the time we have our final selections, get the quote, and get things on order, we're likely not having the project done until late summer/early fall after baby arrives. I'm just terrified at the idea of trying to develop a routine in the middle of chaos. So long story short haha, I'm sure I'll have actual reno pictures come the time for us to set up a private FB group or PG on TB. I should share a pic of the samples we got though.

  • @stardustskies That is a relief to hear! We’ve only tried a handful of times to get DS to wear a mask and the longest he would keep one on was 5 minutes… So I’m prepared to be handing him snacks all the time so he has an excuse to have his mask off lol.

@inthewoods23 Ugh. I hate this for you. But I completely understand. That’s basically the decision we made about our reno too. It’s such a stressful time being new parents, you don’t want to throw in house demos on top of that. Yes, definitely share you inspo pics at the very least!

  • @LJMoon6 This week for work I have been bringing a smoothie for the morning. Every day its a different mixture of frozen fruit, soy milk and protein powder. And in the afternoon I have a granola bar and fruit. I have also been trying to bring a snack for the 30 min drive home. Usually a PB&J. Sometimes i forget but luckily I work at a grocery store! That saves me from being a cranky pregnant lady!
  • @creativesoul63 dip is awesome. I discovered after a few months that I was allergic to the liquids and switched to gel liquids with then dip powder and after 9 months developed a skin allergy. I’m so bummed! It was such a fun hobby and my nails are sad now 🤣
  • @LJMoon6 right now it’s acidic things esp things that have tomatoes, onions, carbonation, spicy or heavily seasoned food, and fried foods. But sometimes it’s just when I’m full so I’ve been trying to eat smaller meals but more frequently which I already kinda do anyways. It seems to be worse at night and I know that’s when your digestions slows down too. It’s definitely hard.
  • Sorry for the late post. It's been a week (see rants below)

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 17w1d, 7/8

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: team Green (we think!)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a pomegranate

Upcoming appointments: just had 16 wk appointment this week, AS at 18 weeks

How are you feeling?: Preganancy wise feeling good

Rants/Raves: rant- a couple this week. Our boys had been quarantined from daycare due to an exposure for 1.5 weeks. On their first morning back (Monday) DS1 was exposed again. He tested positive Thursday and DS2 started showing symptoms Friday morning and now I am too. At least symptoms have been mild so far, but I have a pretty bad head cold. Add in our furnace going out and our garage door breaking (when it was -20 on Wednesday morning) and man it's just been a week.

    Questions: Nope

GTKY:  If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)?
For sure a massage- I will likely get a prenatal massage at some point. I've found only some places have the insert that still let you lay on your belly, otherwise not worth it

@runnergirl2018 I've been having the same challenge waking up early. No good tips, but hopefully it resolves soon

@jellie603 sorry about your pup. Hopefully the surgery goes smoothly

@courtneyqdk glad you all are on the mend! This winter of illnesses seems particularly bad for my daycare kids too.

@LJMoon6 sorry about the family drama and DS fever. Florida sounds wonderful though! We are headed to New Orleans in a couple weeks and I feel like I haven't had time to really get excited.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/21 15w 2d

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an eggo waffle (but hopefully not as flat! 😱)

Upcoming appointments: 2/3 checkup with MFM, then anatomy scan 2/17

How are you feeling?: Much better! Got covid over 2 weeks ago and allllmost back to normal. Also, I can't tell you how much my boobs hurt. 🥺

Rants/Raves: Rave: I think I'm already starting to feel kicking and flips. Some people have been telling me that it's too early, but I don't think that it's gas, because it sometimes literally feels like being poked from the inside.

Questions: Any suggestions for good sports bras for DDs? I have what I consider a super comfortable sports bra, but my workout on Thursday told me that it was maybe too much compression, and my boobs are still sore.

GTKY: If you could treat yourself at a spa (at no cost to you) during your pregnancy, what service would you choose (massage, facial, mani, pedi, etc)? Massage. Definitely massage. I had been getting massages monthly before I got pregnant. I miss them so much!
  • @velvetblue88 I definitely started feeling baby flutters at 15 weeks with DD, not too early at all! I’m also majorly jealous your anatomy scan is so soon! (I’m due one day before you) They won’t schedule mine til the beginning of March.
  • @creativesoul63 I'm high risk for many reasons, so I have a maternal fetal medicine doctor that I see regularly in addition to my OB. I'm assuming 18 weeks is still okay for the anatomy scan, since that's what I'll be. 🤷‍♀️
