@b_1029 I got my Old Navy jeans in and they were super cute, but not as comfortable as the Target ones. They felt tight in the thigh area (everything else fit fine), which typically isn't a problem for me. I also ordered my normal pre-pregnancy size and a size up to test it out. It could be they're stiffer jeans and I haven't worn anything but leggings for the past 10 weeks, but I didn't love them.
@pajamstagrams Thanks for the tip! I'm wearing a stitchfix maternity shirt from last pregnancy that I love (it has side ruching but I don't think it's very obvious); I was thinking about doing another go around. Might jump on that tonight!
@pajamstagrams sorry I’m a few weeks late but I came here to recommend the old navy maternity outerwear. Last time I got a quilted black vest with a gold zipper that I loveddddd because it fit over the belly but wasn’t too hot when I was an inferno at 9 months pregnant. This was for my January baby.
@tacosandtums I'll have to check out old navy, I always forget about them because I usually only go there for maternity (love their workout gear)!! I'm not willing to spend a lot because I live in the south, plus with la niña this year, it's just not going to be super cold this year (barring any February artic blasts🥶). But I am very cold natured normally and even more so while pregnant so I would like *something*!
@pajamstagrams I’m in the Deep South too. I have a wool coat from Old Navy that I love but I can count maybe on 2 hands how many times I’ve worn it since I bought it. Personally I love a good zip up hoodie that has fleece lining.
Any recommendations for plus size maternity bridesmaids dresses? 😬 my sister is getting married at the end of March (I’m due 5/7) and I’m the matron of honor. She’s definitely going more formal, if not fully black tie but is letting me pick my dress. Only now I’m dreading finding one lol. Any tips would be welcome.
I liked pink blush and motherhood maternity for business casual with my last pregnancy. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Old Navy because they had a bunch on sale and I'm already having trouble fitting into my normal clothes. I stay at home now with my son now so I'm pretty sure this pregnancy will pretty much consist of leggings and workout clothes.
@skc040512 I was a bridesmaid when I was ~25 weeks with DD. I just ordered up a size or two in the standard bridal salon bridesmaid chiffon dress, got extra fabric, and did my alterations last minute (like the week or two before). It's not the cheapest option, but I feel like it's the easiest since bridal salons are pretty used to pregnant bridesmaids.
If not that option, I *think* pink blush has bridesmaid-looking full length gowns.
@skc040512 the alterations were probably as expensive as the dress itself lol. They weren't cheap. We had to remove some of the boning so it wasn't over my belly, and then add in extra fabric for the under layer (aka not the chiffon part). I got extra fabric of both but didn't end up needing the chiffon because I wasn't super big at that point, but I wasn't as far along as you'll be.
If you go that route, make sure you make these decisions up front so they order your extra fabric with the rest of the dresses! You want the dye lots to match.
@skc040512 I’m on the same boat - I’ll be in a wedding at 27 weeks. The bride has not chosen the dress designer yet but she is going to let each girl choose her own style as long as the fabric and color are her chosen ones. My research shows me that empire waist will be my go to style.
I know you might not think to look here but Amazon has a great selection of long maternity dresses that you could make formal with the right jewelry/styling

Hey all! Does anyone have any recommendations for comfortable and affordable shoes? I get way more tired on my feet these days and would appreciate any ideas
For casual type shoes, I love my allbirds runners. I find that they're pretty comfy.
For dress, I almost exclusively wear ballet flats to work, or rarely, a low heeled boot. (Desk job, so I sit a lot.) Big fan of Naturalizer (can you tell I'm over 30?), and I have some Bjorn boots that are comfy.
For me it's not so much brand, but rather how well the shoe actually fits. And fair warning (can't remember if this is your first so ignore if it isn't 😬) your feet are going to swell like crazy at the end and might even permanently go up a size (mine just swelled, thankfully)
@pajamstagrams Thanks!! allbirds is a great rec! This is my second baby, but my feet swelled so much last time- it was nuts! Still the same size as before but already looking for something more comfortable. Will look into those!
@coffeemamaaaa I have Allbirds loafers (slip on for the win!) and I love them. I've worn a hole in the sole at this point, lol. They're super comfy and they have arch support, which is key to any shoe for me. They just opened a store near my office so when I'm finally back in the office next week I'm going to buy a new pair.
So i can’t speak for shoes or leggings yet but run to get a pair of Abercrombie maternity jeans. You have to search them in the toolbar and wait til they go on sale but they are amazing and like butter
How much do y’all normally spend on nursing bras? I need to see if I can find all my ones from last pregnancies but they are now going on 9 years old plus ha d been packed away for 5+ years so… 🤷🏼♀️
Asking bc I saw Kindred Bravely has a nursing bra bundle for $130… which seems slightly pricey to me but it is four bras. And I’ve seen a lot of people rave about them so idk.
@MrsLaLaBug I’ve never been impressed with the kindred products vs their pricing. Like…they’re fine, but not worth the price tag IMO. I have huge boobs even outside of pregnancy so I typically end up using motherhood maternity (which typically has a decent price for the quality, especially for larger sizes) but I may try Third Love this time if they actually have my size in stock
@MrsLaLaBug depends on the type...if it's one of the ones with very little support (aka sleep bras without wire), I think mine were $30? But my underwire bras are $60+, same as my normal bras. I have a small band size (32) and large cup size (DDD-H depending on pregnancy/nursing) so they're always harder to find. Also, if anyone has any recs for good busty sleep bras I'm all ears...the band is always way too big for me!
@MrsLaLaBug I’ve never tried one of their nursing bras, but I had one of their pumping bras last time that I liked. Mainly because it was the only one I could wear under normal clothes without weird lines. Otherwise it wasn’t like the best bra I’ve ever owned haha.
Anyone have good recs for compression hose? I don't want full hose, just the calves. I have a pair from last time, but looks like I'm swelling earlier so I was going to get another pair...or two. Am I best just going to Amazon?
Just wanted to share with y’all in case anyone else has been looking - after reading the reviews I went ahead and bought these. I put one on immediately when they got here today and it’s heaven. Just in time too bc I literally have ONE bra left that fits and even my sports bras are kindof getting pinchy since the girls have started to GROW. 😂😂
@wiscobabies We talked about this on another thread (can’t remember which one one)… and my opinion is no, not worth it. I tried three sizes before I decided they just don’t work for me. I love my active leggings from Old Navy and the Isabel from Target.
@wiscobabies I bought 3 pairs of Blanqi leggings when they were on Black Friday sale. I really like them, they're supportive in my belly more than my other maternity leggings. I see a lot of women complain about the crotch but I just haven't had that problem so I think it's all just dependent on your body!

@MrsLaLaBug I actually bought some today at Walmart, there’s are pretty comfy too even more so then their regular bras. They have really comfy underwear too from what I’ve found with good belly support. Though weirdly they don’t have a large maternity section. The jeans and shorts are in the ladies sleepwear isle, and, the underwear and bras and tank tops and tees are in the womens sportswear isle. Really weird place to put maternity stuff. Otherwise I’d say their stuff is okay.
Just wanted to let y’all know - before I had my WLS in February I LIVED in tops like these. Flowy and soft. I’m living in them again now that I’m pregnant. They obviously aren’t maternity but they work(if you don’t like the normal ruched/fitted mat. tops) AND cover the bootie in the back!

Edit for clarification
