On another note...I HATE time change... We are still suffering over here. Kiddo is refusing naps.... Anyone else struggling?
@goldfishcraker yes! We are riding the time change struggle bus over here. My 3yo did so great Sunday, I thought we had a unicorn on our hands. Reality hit yesterday, and has been kicking me in the face all day today.
@achanceintime@goldfishcraker the time change is brutal. I'm trying to get the girls to adjust a little each day with naps at least but bedtime and AM wake up have been futile. DD2's wheels on the bus started falling off at 5:00 and she was in bed by 5:30 tonight. DD1 is doing okay with bedtime, but has been up even EARLIER than her norm! She was up at 5:30am the other day when her normal was 7. I'm hoping getting an "okay to rise" clock will help her (eventually).

@lurvleybunchococonuts right? What is with that?! DD usually wakes 7-730. So in theory, he'd be waking at 6-630, right? What's with the garbage 5 am wake ups? Last night, we were up most of the night. Dunno what was going on... DH thinks night terrors are starting... I'm not convinced that's what it was. I hope not. We bought DS a hatch for Christmas. I wanted one of the actual clocks that changes colour, but all of them are blue light, which is proven to be terrible for sleep! So, spent extra and got a hatch because you can choose the colour. But there is no clock on it.
@goldfishcraker hmmm that's strange that all the actual clocks are blue light. I'll have to look into that. Annnnnd 🤦🏻♀️ we currently have a hatch that I always have set to dim red with white noise. I never even thought about setting it up to change colors/sounds to use it that way. Lmao I blame pregnancy brain 🤣
Both the girls have been sleeping like garbage with extra wake ups and all sorts of other nonsense. Darned children!

@lurvleybunchococonuts yea apparently you can set times for the hatch to change colour? So we will do a red light at night, and have it change to green when it's a reasonable time to wake up. Hopefully. It better work like that...since it's the whole reason I bought it! Haha (Haven't opened it to try yet..)
@goldfishcraker I didn't know it was a thing for milk to come in this early? Baby #3 for me and lately I have been getting those tingles that you get with let down, and I'm thinking I should start wearing some breast pads so I don't get a leak at work! Never happened with my baby #2!
@goldfishcraker we have a hatch. I’ve used it since we moved DS to his room. I’d have a barely bright red light for motn feedings. And use the sound machine every night. Then now also use the “wake alarm” for it to turn on to a bright orange and shush the sound some for when I want him to wake up(or realize we’re about to come in). It’s so wonderful. He generally wakes earlier. But knows that once the light turns on we’ll be in to get him soon so he just quietly rolls and around and plays until then

I thought I was bonkers but then the 21 week bump info said it's "normal". So I guess not totally out of the realm of reasonable. I just feel like it's super early! Though I'm hoping It means I have a supply this time....
@goldfishcraker brrrrr 🥶. I actually wish it would snow here too. It is wet and muddy and my dog is driving my nuts. He can't not roll around in it everytime he is outside.
@morgantu I admit, I'm actually pretty stoked about it this year! Yesterday morning, we had GIANT, soft fluffy looking snowflakes. Kiddo woke up in a superb mood. DH and I were playing with him, in our PJs in his room. It felt like Christmas morning! Even inspired me to get DS to make pancakes with me for breakfast!
I'm super stoked for Christmas this year, and I'm even contemplating doing some decorating early...haha.
Yesterday was perfect snowman weather! But couldn't convince DS to dress appropriately, so we didn't get to go out to play.
It's -13°C and windy today though, so that's not so nice. And DH has already had to shovel the driveway 5 times in 2 days haha
And I have an OB appointment downtown today, and I'm not looking forward to leaving an extra 30 min early.. (everyone has forgotten how to drive. Even though we have snow like... 6 months of the year haha)
@goldfishcraker DD1 was doing her snow since just hoping we were going to get it here too...but all we got is rain...so it's 10 degrees and muddy here today:/
I have been very guilty of lurking. I'm a first timer and it's been confusing and crazy and just before we found out I was pregnant, we moved from the Bay Area in California to Montréal. I've asked a few questions, but mostly I've just tried to pay attention to what everyone else was saying.
Random note, but I am in love with the nightgown and fluffy socks I picked up at Walmart this weekend. So soft and cozy. I felt a little guilty because I picked them up while Christmas shopping, but finding comfy pjs while pregnant can be tough sometimes. Lol

It's been non-stop snowing for nearly 2 days. (Not much snow, for the length of time really, but still)
