On the plus side the big 1 year olds birthday was a smashing success! AW photo in spoiler. The bear in the background is our Molly bear for our angel twin and the sock monkey next to it is her sock monkey. Each of our girls have different colored sock monkeys and our angel's is the most loved and played with.

@kgg2241@rachelredhead it's hard to see in that photo but she also has a looped strand of old lady pearls on which just kills me with cuteness. Amazon baby photo shoot outfits.

We got the BEST news at our scan this AM! Babes MCA was elevated but below critical which meant we didn't have to get a transfusion today!!! We go back on Wednesday to check again. We got an amazing view of him during the scan giving us a little wave.

@kgg2241 I actually think I want to know. But no matter how friendly I tried to be, she was....not. Ha. She didn't ask if I wanted to know, and I could barely get 2 words out of her (and I know they aren't allowed to tell us anyway) so I assumed she would just get the info if she could, and leave it for the doctors.
But then she said that "*pronoun* has *pronoun* hand Infront of *pronoun* face so I can't get a good view, so I'll need to you exercise and move around." And then her eyes went wide and she said "because we need baby to change positions so we can see baby's heart and face..."
But then at the end, when she was showing me baby, she says "oh and there are *pronoun* feet kicking your bladder, and there are *pronoun* legs, and there is *pronoun* bum etc. And then again, switched back to using "baby's". She was consistent every time with the pronoun, but some people just have a default, so I don't know if it means anything.😅
@goldfishcraker Well now you'll have the added surprise of finding out if the tech was being accurate or if they were just using a default pronoun! I'm sorry, that would drive me absolutely insane and I would likely be quite angry in your position ❤
I'm with everyone who said the app sucks. I detest it. But I realized today that my firewall doesn't block the forum so maybe I can check in more. I'm very active with my July 2018 group on FB! I'm sad that I never really got into my March 2016 BMB - as a FTM (who was also swamped at work back then) I didn't realize how nice it would be to have a community of moms with kiddos the same age!
@goldfishcraker eeek! I told my tech right away that I didn't want to know the gender AND I didn't want her to let DH find out either. She told me to remind her every appt, just in case. And she was cute - at the VERY beginning she was like "Okay, I know what you're going to have now so I'm going to keep my mouth shut."
Ok so i'm home with DD who has hand, foot, and mouth. I'm tyring to work and parent, which i was lucky not to have to do much over the pandemic. Our daycare stayed open the whole time and Dh and i never worked from home. Anyway, this is really hard and my appreciation and admiration goes out to anyone who had to do double duty of working and parenting.
My cousin passed on a bunch of her old baby stuff to me.
In fact, Most of what we had for DS, were hand-me downs.
Friend couple A were done. Friend B was pretty sure she was done (but then ended up asking for everything back for her brother), and my cousin was done- and said she wasn't trying for more after her 40th bday which was last Jan. The rest came from BIL+ SIL who were definitely done 11 years ago.
I have very little idea what came from whom because almost all of it came all at once, and was a giant pile in our basement when we moved in.
Well...4ish months ago I was purging. Got rid of a bunch of stuff we had never used.
For example, we had ended up with 5 baby baths. We only ever used 1 of them. They were sitting there taking up a lot of space...
Well... now My cousin is now pregnant.
She just asked for her bathtub back. But I'm pretty sure it's not the one we used, and I gave it away a few months ago on our local buy nothing group... 😬
(In my defense, she never said anything was a loaner...)
(TLDR I gave away stuff that was gifted to me, and now the gifter is oopsie pregnant and wants the stuff back..)
@goldfishcraker ahh that is so awkward, but I don't blame you at all for giving the stuff away. I feel like the gifter needs to make it clear it is a loan if they have any expectation of asking for it back. Hopefully she understands and let's it go.
@goldfishcraker I would tell her it got lost when you moved...it's not like they cost a lot. I'm sure she can find one she likes for like 20$. And I totally agree with everyone else...if she was going to want it back she should have told you that specifically. I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. You basically stored her baby stuff for free...so you actually did her a favour;)
@goldfishcraker eeeeeeeh awkward. I would personally feel bad. But I agree with everyone else that if it was meant to be a loan, the loaner needs to make it abundantly clear. It’s not like it’s a $100+ item so dont beat yourself up too much!
Yesterday's scan result was even lower than Monday's which is great! 1.30 🙌 we get to switch to weekly scans!
@goldfishcraker ugh... I'd just honestly tell her sorry, we had 5 of them and donated the ones we weren't using and ask her if she'd like you to replace it. If she does than just grab one off marketplace, if she doesn't than oh well.

@Panaceia it's all good! After the tech dropping the ball, I was like...I need to know haha. And I went hunting in the US photos...so I only have myself to blame hahaha
Re: Randoms w/o 10/25
That is adorable! My SIL announced her second daughter that way and I still think it’s cute.
