Upcoming appointments: just got home from one, next up anatomy scan at the end of the month
How are you feeling? Good. Crazy dreams lately, all involving DH in some sort of odd situation haha.
Rants/raves: We got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time today! Really unbelievable. I sort of made DH come to this appointment but he was really glad he did. Everything is starting to feel more real! Nothing else much going on here, the weather is getting chillier and I’m happy to have lots of stretchy sweaters 😀
Upcoming appointments: Regular OB appt next week and then anatomy scan two weeks later. Can’t wait to see baby again!
How are you feeling? Pretty good, more energy and nausea is almost completely gone (aside from some random gagging this morning). I think I’m getting DS4’s cold though.
Rants/raves: Trick or treating was awesome! This was the first year that DS really got into it, and he had a blast. And then cue the meltdown on Monday morning when he realized he’d have to wait a whole year to TOT again.
Questions: Does anyone have a linea nigra yet? I don’t but can’t remember at what point mine started showing last time.
Upcoming appointments: None this week, but I forgot to update last werk. I had my NT scan last Thursday and got to hear the heart beat for the first time. Everything measured normal. We also got the NIPT test back--everything low risk and we are having a girl!
How are you feeling? Absolutely floored we are having a girl. I was certain it was another boy and still can't really believe it. I think I'm very slowly turning a corner physically. I can finally drink coffee again. It tasted so nasty before. I do still need my medicine 3x a day or else I feel like junk for 24 hours even missing 1 dose. My pubic bone pain has increased significantly. Can't stand on one leg at a time at all. I need to get back to chiro. Im definitely getting more hungry all the time as long as I dont miss my medicine.
Rants/raves: Halloween was so great this year. DS3 was so into it and we all had so much fun.
@monstera13 I don't have a line yet, but I also never got one with DS3. I am very, very fair skinned though--I thought I read somewhere that that had something to do with it.
Upcoming appointments: had pelvic floor PT today, I have my big anatomy ultrasound tomorrow 😍
How are you feeling? Excited
Rants/raves: just busy at work and my husband is traveling SO MUCH for work because his boss is itching from the past year and a half of Covid so I have been so alone. It’s tiring.

Upcoming appointments: This week! Yay!!! We get the heat our baby boy’s heartbeat on the Doppler again, and I’m also going to ask the OB if it’ll be possible for hubby to attend the ultrasound at the following appointment in 4 weeks. 🤞
How are you feeling? Hungry!! So hungry. I could eat all the time and still not be full. I’ve especially been craving cookies more and more… might end up making some early Christmas cookies this weekend! 🤪
Rants/raves: Hubby’s grandpa isn’t doing well in the hospital, and it looks like he’ll pass pretty soon, probably the next few days. He just lost his grandma a little over a month ago and my heart breaks for him losing both so close together like this. We decided for the funeral this time I’d stay behind though.
Everything went smoothly traveling last time, but on each of the planes, when we landed there was a horrible jet fuel odor we had to sit and smell as the plane waited to pull up to its spot. The first time it happened I brushed it off, but after 4 TIMES I was freaking out and almost threw up from the smell. I’ve been haunted by it ever since because I’m worried and scared what 30-45 cumulative min could have done to our baby’s neurological development at 10 weeks. This has never happened on any plane I’ve ever been on, and then it happened to all the planes on this trip! 😰 Apologies for the rant, just a long way of saying I’ll be staying behind this time around.
Questions: Any one else’s kicks and flutters getting super strong? I know it’s still super early, but I swear he kicked so hard Sunday I felt it with my hand from the outside!!! Hubby’s so excited to be able to feel it himself so I’m really hoping this will happen soon!💙
@fameonmain2 Hearing baby’s heartbeat is the best!❤️ I come out of those appointments elated every time! Also ditto to the continued crazed dreams!!
@monstera13 I was actually just thinking about this the other day! No linea nigra yet, but there’s still time! My belly button has definitely popped way out and is visible through most of my clothes! 😳
@amys614 How exciting that everything is healthy! So happy for you and your baby girl!💕
@kiwi2628 That’s awesome you had a pelvic floor PT appointment this early!! How did it go? Did she give some useful exercises for birth prep? Since I work in a PT office, I’ll probably go to ours at some point, but she works in a different office so I was thinking of waiting until later in the pregnancy.

How are you feeling? Still get the odd headache but energy is good, and my appetite is much lower than it was. I get full much quicker and stay full for a while. Not feeling super pregnant ATM and wish I was so it would calm my nerves haha. Still shocked at how small my belly is in the morning vs the end of the day. Not feeling any movement yet but really hope it starts soon.
@minnie_yoga_mama so she likes mamas to come in early to build core and stability strength and then starting at 28 weeks we start working on stretching, relaxation etc techniques. I also was seeing her prior to pregnancy

How are you feeling? Pretty good actually. Not feeling super pregnant, and with my anterior placenta muffling flutters it makes me nervous sometimes!
Rants/raves: Halloween was a success! We all went as Mario characters- I was Yoshi- it was great. I think my son had as much fun handing candy out as he did getting it! A little rant: I am the production manager for the choir I'm in and we are putting together our holiday show that's in like 6 weeks and it is NOT easy! This is my first season in this position, and with covid our plans have literally changed 3 times. I'm really hoping I can delegate some things to people on the committee because this is just a volunteer thing- I have a full time job too! lol
@minnie_yoga_mama yeah very strong over here, just like DD3 was. Thoughts and prayers to my ribs and cervix.

Upcoming appointments: today with OB, just regular, and the anatomy the day before thanksgiving
How are you feeling? Pain is getting worse. My hypermobility now involves my ankles. Basically my achiles just stretches to infinity now, I guess? So all the bones in the front of my foot where my ankle meets my foot get crunched if I'm not paying really close attention to how I walk or stand in certain situations, and it is SO painful. The braces I ordered from Amazon arrived today, so I'm hoping they'll at least help me keep awareness of it. Knock on wood I haven't had any nausea for 3 days, but in the past it's been 3 days on 3 days off.
Rants/raves: Halloween ended up being really fun. It turns out our town basically turns into a rave on Halloween in this one completely residential neighborhood, so DD3 was like all big eyes, and DH was so confused (bc he has only ever gone trick or treating in NYC where you're just inside apt buildings at like 4pm - this was pitch black, no street lights, a ton of different live music bands and weed smoke lol). No real rant beyond the pain.
Upcoming appointments: Next appt with midwife is the week of thanksgiving, but we had our anatomy scan yesterday! Everything was looking good, measurements within normal limits, etc. Confirmed babies are boy/girl. Placenta is anterior which explains how little movement I’ve been feeling.
How are you feeling? Tired, some anxiety.
Rants/raves: I know ultrasounds aren’t wildly accurate, but I was glad to hear both babies were measuring two days ahead of my EDD. I don’t gain weight in a typical pattern while pregnant (I get bigger in my legs, hips, and chest long before my belly pops out) and get a lot of comments about how I don’t look pregnant at all, let alone pregnant with twins. I’ve realized this is just how my body is regardless of what I do, but it still causes worry about whether I really am “big enough” for babies to be big enough, if that makes sense.
Estimated due date/ weeks + days: 4/4 (scheduled C last week of March); 18 w 2 days

How are you feeling? Blegh is best word for it. I’ve been eating a ton of junk- candy, cake, chips because I have a ton left from Halloween. And honestly, I feel like crap. Ordered a kale salad for lunch but I think it also has to do with the fact that I’m working from home all day and hardly get up and out. I just feel gross and tired and headachey. Ugh
Rants/raves: Rave- started feeling movement this week and feel so relieved! So great to feel her moving around in there.
Questions: not right now

@monstera13, I still don't have it, I think it's later. @minnie_yoga_mama, I wouldn't describe movements as "strong", but I feel the baby irregularly. Once we get to early third trimester, you will see strong! @fameonmain2, yay for strong heart beat!

How are you feeling? I feel overall better. I want to feel the baby more regularly for reassurance. I still gag in the morning and threw up a couple of times over the last few weeks. So getting better, but still not 100% without nausea.
Rants/raves: So excited for Thanksgiving! I had a great Halloween, both girls enjoyed it. Also looking forward to putting up my Christmas decor soon. Probably will wait until the week before Thanksgiving.

Agreed the group has been quiet. I was trying to find a GTKY to post yesterday but I couldn't find anything I liked. I'm so bad at these things! I know I've been finally coming out of the fog that is first trimester so I've been busy trying to catch up on life a bit!

Upcoming appointments: 11/10 for anatomy scan - how the heck am I nearly halfway done!?!
How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. I was able to cut myself off the unisom/b6 combo. It was painful for a day or so but doing a lot better now. I've been dealing with some nasty reflux issues for the last couple of days, but unfortunately I get this outside of pregnancy. I think it just gets exacerbated a bit more now that I'm prego. I've been trying for a few years now to figure out what my trigger foods are and I just can't seem to figure it out. It's so frustrating.
Rants/raves: I have this single muscle that runs from my leg, across my butt, and to my lower back that hurts. Just on one side though. So every time I sit or stand I'm grunting. So lovely. Also - my friend's sister just had her baby at 30+4 and she's doing amazing thus far. It's been crazy to see what 2 weeks difference can make in a NICU baby (DS5 was 28+6). It's given me a little hope that hopefully we can make it longer this time around and be in a much better place!
Questions: what has everyone been doing to get ready for baby? I've pretty much done nothing and starting to feel like I should get my life together!
@minnie_yoga_mama I'm still not sure if I'm feeling flutters or not. If I have, it's been super inconsistent. Sorry to hear about YH's grandpa. Hugs to you and him.
@robbenson this board is super quiet I feel like it's hit or miss with some of the threads, so I haven't been posting them super regularly. But if anyone feels strongly about one then they should definitely post!
@queenklau woohoo for your strong heartbeat too! I'm definitely feeling like starting the Christmas decor early, but we are hosting friendsgiving in a couple of weekends so it will have to at least wait until after that.
@Blondesweety444 finding good GTKY posts is so hard! I usually end up stealing them from another board, haha. I have not been doing much to get ready for baby. It still doesn't feel real! I have about 4 things on my registry and... that's about it. I did think about how we would position furniture in our bedroom so... that's something?
@fameonmain2 haha "think about" moving furniture, I'm in about the same place! Yesterday I was "thinking about" all of the unpacked boxes in the nursery closet and what I'm going to have to do with those! lol!
@Blondesweety444 I’ve got a few things on the registry but other than that I’ve been mainly envisioning what to do for baby- nothing physical. I have ideas of what I need to be doing- just not doing it. It’s actually kinda frustrating.
@Blondesweety444 I’ve done nothing for this baby yet (second child probs lol). I’ve decided we’ll buy a new frame for DS4’s bed (he had a convertible crib that is current stretched out to a full) and then we’ll put the crib back together for this baby, but that’s it.
Agreed that this board is really quiet. My last BMB would have 100-200 comments minimum on the randoms each week. We’re lucky if we get 10 😂
@Blondesweety444 LOL the "thinking" stage is about all MH and I can handle right now. I tried to take him down the stroller aisle at Target the other day and he was just not having it.
I bought a set of 3 footed pjs that I like for either a boy or girl for a going home outfit. And as a sort of 1st tri celebration. I’ve gone through a registry checklist to help think about what needs to be replaced. I won’t have a shower or anything, but it’s nice to have it in one place for myself later. Or anyone who wants to buy a gift.
I have a lot of goals of non-baby things I want to get done while I can - and don’t feel like I’m making much progress!
Same here! This is my third kid and my second DD is still in the nursery, so he will probably come to my room first for a few months. I’ll prepare his corner next year hehe!

@Blondesweety444 we'd be working on it a lot less if it weren't for the fact that we need DD3's crib to fit in that room, and there's too much shit in the guest room (the baby's room) currently for it to fit inside (not to mention the doorway is too small, but whatever, we can disassemble). The crib is living in the living room still so that's a motivator to move things forward lol.
@monstera13 we did the same thing for DS5 actually. We got him a new bed so we could take the frame back for the crib. So I guess I have done a little something! haha!
@fameonmain2 I don't think I got DH to participate in any decisions for DS5. Just know you will probably have to do 90% of it He's a great dad these days, but I think decisions are too hard for them. Just like wedding planning isn't their forte usually
@doxiemoxie212 I also have a lot of shit in the baby's room to deal with. I keep putting it off at the moment. The crib is currently disassembled in the corner of the room.
Rants/raves: Grateful that my daughters are such good kids. They are going to be such an amazing help.
In terms of preparing for baby, I literally have no space for this baby! Our house is large but it’s only 4 bedrooms and now thanks to Covid DH and I both work from home so two of the bedrooms are offices, ones our room and one is the kids room. I know the baby can sleep in our room for a while, but I have no place to even put a changing table! Above garage addition here we come?!
Questions: Has everyone already told their job? I wfh and usually tell around 20 weeks.
How are you feeling? A pretty sweet headache right now, but generally fine.
Rants/raves: Had my telehealth appointment this afternoon. It was fine, I mean all I could tell them was my weight and no troubling symptoms. The nice part was it’s probably the only time I’ve had both midwives at the same time (team of 2) and one was able to gently cut the other one short when she started one of her speeches.
I’ve had a hard time believing that I’m feeling baby move, even though I generally do feel it fairly early. Trying to just trust it more, and not worry when there’s no signs of anything wrong.
@Blondesweety444 Some housecleaning/reorganizing stuff, and I need to sort through the boys’ clothes: what doesn’t fit and is or isn’t worth keeping for the next one. It’s just really hard to get beyond the usual daily stuff.
And then I have some holiday things - our Christmas card and letter, sewing DS6 some pjs.
And more hobbyish things. I used to print all my photos of the year in blurb books, but I’ve fallen really behind. I got last year done but haven’t started this year. I’d maybe like to sew some costumes for the boys before our Disney, and a sweater for myself before my belly grows anymore 😂
I feel you on the house cleaning and reorganizing. I feel like I'm never done scrubbing toilets so I can't get to the closet that's completely unusable
I've always wanted to do photobooks each year, but I never do and then I feel sad about it. haha!
@Blondesweety444 exactly! And I think, even if I can just get one area really great this week, then we can maintain it and I can tackle the next problem next week - but in reality, it’s more like I can let everything slide to get one thing done. On Saturday I sewed the boys Jedi robes, and got the cat her booster shots - and somehow that put me behind on laundry so that I had to fold 5 loads yesterday.
I really need to increase the boys’ chores. That takes work too, but will pay off… eventually…
@bluecampanula I need to increase the boys' chores too. They haven't been changed up for awhile and the oldest could do bigger things that would make my life easier. Like put his dang laundry away!

Upcoming appointments: Had one today and last week with the MFM. Starting cervical measurements every other week and progesterone suppositories every night starting next week at 16 weeks. Baby looks great, just not looking forward to all the extra appointments… DD was so low-maintenance compared to all this but if it prevents another preemie, I’m down.
How are you feeling? Great. But exhausted! Which I think is just my normal state anyways, pre-pregnancy. I’m feeling movement, which is wild because with DD6 I had an anterior placenta and hardly felt anything the entire pregnancy. During the cervical measurement today baby stuck their hand up into the frame like they wanted to be in the picture, got some cute little shots of them waving.
Rants/raves: We are moving this month from Hawaii to NC to live with my parents, then to California in February. It’s a lot. We just started packing because we’re moving ourselves this time, and there are so many emotions going on. I am devastated to leave the islands but excited for a new adventure, and definitely looking forward to spending more than a few days with my parents like we’ve had to since moving here.
Yeah we saved everything from my first son so other than a new monitor and carseat we don't need to buy a lot for the baby. We need to get my son a new bed so the crib is open for the new kid and all of my grand plans hinge on when we get the new bed. It all hinges on that for no other reason than I decided it. Sort through new born clothes and get then cleaned and put away? No, we haven't switched DS to bed and got the crib in the nursery. So clearly it tracks...lol
@Ivorytower2 Northern California, kind of Lake Tahoe area— we own our home here in Hawaii so we are planning on coming back to visit a few times a year to check on the property and hope to move back when our assignment in CA is over!
Upcoming appointments: had my anatomy scan yesterday and he looks perfect! I still cannot believe I am doing this all over again.
How are you feeling? Feeing better. Tired.. so ti free d all the time. A d growing more frustrated that I don’t feel him move much. Durning the scan he was all over the place.
Rants/raves: I love this forum but it’s so hard to keep up with, because of the platform. I don’t have a PC to use since they blocked the site on my work pc, does anyone know if there is an easier way on mobile?
@minnie_yoga_mama I have been thinking about Christmas cookies a lot lately too, lol.
@schlecks I'm getting ready for a choir Christmas concert too! But I'm glad I'm just singing, not organizing!
@Blondesweety444 I've been gradually adding things to the registry, usually picking one thing and researching a bunch of options (for example, one day I only looked at different pack-n-plays with bassinets to pick one). I get too overwhelmed if I try to think about too many things at a time! It's also hard to pick some things when I don't know if the baby is a boy or a girl yet. I'm fine with having some more neutral items since I will hopefully be using them for future children as well, but I also don't want everything to be GRAY, which is apparently the current "neutral" color for baby items.
I've also been gradually going through stuff in the room that will be the baby's and finding new places for it in our apartment. Currently it is our "hobby" room (90% my art, crochet, and sewing supplies, 10% my husband's board games).
@bluecampanula At first, I read that as "3-footed pajamas," as in pajamas with 3 feet.

Upcoming appointments: Had a regular one on Tuesday (it's so reassuring to hear the heartbeat every few weeks!) and have the anatomy scan coming up on November 16! It will be our first ultrasound. I'm so excited to see the baby and find out if we're having a boy or a girl!
How are you feeling? Some lower back and hip pain, but switching to a larger pillow between my legs has helped somewhat. I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping though. Not lying awake all night, but waking up frequently.
I'll have other symptoms for like a day or two at a time. Last week, I had a random headache for two days. Yesterday, I was just crabby and sad all day. My husband is very sweet but doesn't always get the mood stuff; he was like, "What happened that made you feel sad?" And I'm just crying like, "I don't know, nothing, I'm just sad!"
Rants/raves: Halloween with my siblings and their families was really fun! We trick-or-treated with the nieces and nephews for a bit, but it was REALLY cold! (We're in Wisconsin.)
I'm also starting to get really excited for Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas. I asked my husband about putting up Christmas decorations, but he wants to wait a couple more weeks for some reason.
Me: 30 // Hubs: 31 Married May 2019 Baby #1 due April 19, 2022
Upcoming appointments: I had one on Thursday and I'm trying to get my anatomy scan scheduled. For the next couple weeks. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat on Thursday and every time we started to hear it she moved away. We eventually pinned her down to hear it. It makes me happy she's moving around so much, even if I can't feel it.
How are you feeling? I stopped taking unisom+B6 last Friday and it has been a rough week but I'm finally feeling normal again. My uterus is really sore. I'm grateful that my mental health has stayed really good so far. I was really worried about having really rough prenatal and postnatal depression.
Rants/raves: Work is rough. I'm having a really hard time fitting in my uniform and I just feel squished all day. Work is really dragging their feet approving a new pair of uniform pants because at some point in the next few months we will be getting new style uniforms. If it wasn't for the new uniforms I could have taken care of this all on my own awhile ago. But even if they get back to me in the next week or so I still have to get it ordered and then altered for the maternity panel and it's all very annoying.

It's been a lot of work the last couple weeks but I've got candidates and the meet and greet is tomorrow and the election starts Monday. I might not get re-elected (we have 8 candidates for 7 spots) but I'm proud I got it done! Rant: I've been extra tired this week and staying in bed instead of getting up with my alarm-I haven't read hardly anything in the mornings and I only have Empire of Pain for like, 10 more days after waiting many weeks for it.

Rants/raves: Happy to have my energy back!

Upcoming appointments: Had one yesterday, and then anatomy scan the day before Thanksgiving!
I'm really hoping I can delegate some things to people on the committee because this is just a volunteer thing- I have a full time job too! lol

Questions: can’t think of any

How are you feeling? Blegh is best word for it. I’ve been eating a ton of junk- candy, cake, chips because I have a ton left from Halloween. And honestly, I feel like crap. Ordered a kale salad for lunch but I think it also has to do with the fact that I’m working from home all day and hardly get up and out. I just feel gross and tired and headachey. Ugh
Rants/raves:
Rave- started feeling movement this week and feel so relieved! So great to feel her moving around in there.

@minnie_yoga_mama, I wouldn't describe movements as "strong", but I feel the baby irregularly. Once we get to early third trimester, you will see strong!

@amys614 yay for baby girl and for low risk NIPT!

@fameonmain2 I don't think I got DH to participate in any decisions for DS5. Just know you will probably have to do 90% of it He's a great dad these days, but I think decisions are too hard for them. Just like wedding planning isn't their forte usually

How are you feeling? Still nauseas wtffff

Has everyone already told their job?

Questions:
basically just lots of random things
I've always wanted to do photobooks each year, but I never do and then I feel sad about it. haha!

Rants/raves: I love this forum but it’s so hard to keep up with, because of the platform. I don’t have a PC to use since they blocked the site on my work pc, does anyone know if there is an easier way on mobile?

Team blue/pink/green: We find out in two weeks!

How are you feeling? Better. still can't eat a lot in one sitting, and I'm gonna have to just make myself eat something right before bed or I wake up with a headache.
Rants/raves: I am on the board of the local library and am running the election-and also running for election myself. No way I'll finish it before it disappears from my Kindle!
