I'd been feeling so good the past week, but today my gagging and just general blah feeling came back in full swing. Hoping it's just one day and then we're back to feeling better tomorrow!
I also realized Chocolate has been the cause of my nightly headaches. I was snacking on Twix two weeks ago and then we ran out and I felt fine until I had some of the Fast Breaks we bought for trick or treaters last night. I guess that's one way to keep me from snacking on chocolate this pregnancy 🤣
I feel like everything with me has started so much EARLIER this time around. Idk if that just bc it’s 3rd pregnancy or what. But like the RLP especially never started this early before and man, I was hoping it would hold off!!!
@MrsLaLaBug omg the RLP and back pain for me! RLP had finally faded a bit and today my back has hurt so freaking bad all day. Idk if I just need to go ahead and get a maternity pillow or what. It probably didn’t help that my 18 month old kept trying to climb on me while I was doing stretches on the foam roller
Still have mild nausea every morning but it seems to be a bit more manageable the last couple days. Today I actually had energy to get stuff done. Feel like I slept through October, I was so tired every day.
@MrsLaLaBug my sciatica started a month early (8 weeks). 🥴 from what I've heard from friends who are PG, everything starts earlier, so if you're on #3, that's definitely par for the course.
@karisahamdi oh no, not chocolate!! I think chocolate has tannins, maybe that's it??
@fireflyz_56 ooh, I'm jealous of your new found energy!
really enjoying my mornings generally free of nausea! Evenings & afternoon are still awful and gaggy but very happy to be getting some relief!
@skc040512 I've had my maternity pillow since week 8 🤣 I was over excited to try it and it's been the best thing ever especially since my hip pain kicked in week 10.
@pajamstagrams oh I didn't even think of that! I totally gave up caffeine for the first trimester so I was thinking it was that. Could be everything combined or just another weird symptom lol
@karisahamdi same! I’ve been using my maternity pillow for months now! Sciatica pain started so early and it helps me sleep in a position to allow the right side of my body to recover
afm, the super vivid dreams have returned. Like, they are so vivid and real i have to check to make sure it was real or dream in the morning.
@And846 omg the dreams are INSANE. And I agree it’s strange how they do seem to be so much more vivid than regular.
I feel like my insomnia is getting worse. I just can’t ever get back to sleep after I have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. So like multiple times I just lie awake and it sucks.
13 weeks and some change and I already feel like my uterus is going to fall out of my vagina. Pretty sure I’m going to try to get a PFPT referral at my next appointment because omg I won’t be able to stand another 27+ weeks of this
Are y’all getting winded from walking up a flight of stairs? The amount of times I feel like “whew I gotta sit down” in a day is extremely discouraging.
@tacosandtums I haven’t walked up any stairs recently but I absolutely remember this from previous pregnancies. I mean I get winded walking the dog so don’t feel bad. 😂
@tacosandtums yeeeeppp. And winded from walking to my desk from the parking garage at work, winded from picking up DD's crap off the ground...the list goes on 😂
Not quite a symptom, but I am definitely feeling baby popping around in there. I’m 13+6 today. I felt my oldest at 16w, and my second around 14. I’ve thought I’ve felt her a couple other times this week but convinced myself it couldn’t be. Now I’m sure it is.
Is anyone else having hip pain? I’m FTM 12+5 and woke up with horrible hip pain from sleeping on my sides. I’m going to try my pregnancy pillow tonight (which my hubby has already asked if he can get one for himself 😂) to see if it helps but wondering if there’s any other remedies?
@abelchatovski I have been, but someone on here recommended finding stretches for sciatica, which have helped me a ton. I've been using this article. I also started being more active again now that I feel better and I've noticed it's not as frequent.
@abelchatovski definitely get out your pillow, my sciatica is so much worse when I don't use it. Also like @karisahamdi suggested, look up those stretches!
@happynapper as a STM i assumed I’d feel little man move earlier this time and i SWEAR i felt it twice in the last 10 days. But now I’m like…i want to feel him gain to make sure he’s alright. First time i didn’t feel anything until Week 20 and 21.
I’ve been using my pillow for weeks now! Get the snoogle! I love how you can curl up in it, use it between legs, etc. part of mine is a little flat at head so i tuck that part under ky pillow
Oh hey second trimester and the random addition of gagging. What in the world. I have never had this as a symptom and now it’s happening constantly. And then I start coughing uncontrollably from gagging so much and I have to swear to everyone around me I’m not sick, just pregnant 😂😂😂
@skc040512 my nighttime gagging has gotten worse in the last couple weeks as well! It's like my body is trying to cram in a full day's nausea after 2 pm now that I'm feeling ok in the morning lol
@skc040512@pajamstagrams the absolute worst part about the gagging/dry heaves for me is like when you can almost feel your stomach like, flipping inside out or whatever but there’s just nothing in there. And afterwards it just hurts. First tri sucks so bad. 😭
@MrsLaLaBug@skc040512@pajamstagrams add me to the gagging. Mine has only been happening when i Burch my teeth each day. I have had a few close calls thinking it would be more than gagging
Just when I started saying “I feel a little less nauseous” I had to pull over and throw up on the side of the road on my way to dinner yesterday. Cool cool. I actually think I took unisom+b6 on an empty stomach so that might have triggered it, but STILL.
I’ve started gagging too, especially when trying to brush my teeth. And this week I’ve definitely had a lot more insomnia. I didn’t sleep well last night so I’m trying to get stuff done this morning because I know I’m going to crash later today.
Last pregnancy I threw up allllll the time but as soon as it was over I felt better for a few hours. This time - I’ve only thrown up a few times but am nauseous allll the time. I think this way is worse!
So my nausea has been subsiding for most of the day, but it creeps back in around 4-5 in the afternoon. I’m wondering if I should still take unisom +b6 consistently throughout the day to manage the symptom or just as needed once the nausea sets in. Has anyone experimented with this or have any advice?
@tacosandtums, I've experienced the same thing with nausea presenting itself in the afternoon. The only thing is Unisom is a sleep aid so I'd be concerned to take it during the day if you need to drive, work, or take care of kids. (can't remember if you have older kids.) That said, I'm not a doctor. This is just my guess...
@tacosandtums so my nausea has always been worse in the afternoon/evening, with both DD and now this baby. I was on diclegis with DD and basically just suffered the last half of the day because I couldn't function if I took one in the morning, I'm just so sensitive to sleep aids. I'm guessing trying unisom in the morning would be even worse because it's not extended release like diclegis, etc are.
You can always try it, maybe on a day where it doesn't matter if you're a complete exhausted mess and can't get off the floor. (It's an accurate description of how I was when I tried it.)
Otherwise, you can do as I do, and I just don't do evening plans and I go to bed early. 😕 And have lots of snacks and a beverage of your choice so you're always full.
I looked back at my symptom log for DD and I stopped logging occasional nausea in week 16 😖 so I've got a couple weeks left most likely.
I’ve been taking unisom/b6 4x a day and gotten completely used to it so hot as concerned with the drowsiness. Two days ago when I felt like I turned a corner I stopped cold turkey. Just wondering if I should still take it to keep it in my system and maybe if that will help reduce the nausea. I’ll try today and take it anyway and report back.

@fireflyz_56 omg I feel exactly the same about sleeping through all of October 😆
@pajamstagrams I’m just hoping maybe just because it has all started earlier, it won’t LAST as long. A mama can dream, right?? 😩
afm, the super vivid dreams have returned. Like, they are so vivid and real i have to check to make sure it was real or dream in the morning.
So I'll complain about pregnancy brain isntead 😂
