Had some spotting this morning. I’m 8 weeks tomorrow. It was light, only when I wiped. And it has stopped, which is reassuring. We did have sex a couple days ago so I’m doing my best to chalk it up to that. I’m glad we have an ultrasound already scheduled for Tuesday.
Joining you ladies over here. Praying you all end up with positive outcomes and sending hugs and strength to those who have lost this battle 😭. Had cramping yesterday and woke up to spotting today so landed myself in the ED since I’m high risk. I’m exactly 6 weeks today. My beta is over 17000 and they were able to see a flicker of a heartbeat on the US. Still cramping and spotting so I’m scared out of my mind. We have had losses in the past so I’m not a stranger to this heartbreak. It’s so hard for me to read the posts here but I admire everyone’s strength. Prayers to all ❤️
@Nik102 I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I’m sending you and your little bean positive thoughts and hugs. ❤️ I’m so glad that you got to see a heartbeat and that your numbers are high.

First ultrasound today. LMP put me at 7+4 but I think it’s a few days less based on peak ovulation. Only measuring 6+1 and HR only 88 🙁 sending me back next week for a repeat ultrasound to see if the due date is just wrong or if baby isn’t growing normally. We got to hear the HB even on the trans vaginal ultrasound. Feeling worried. Has anyone had a similar situation and things turned out okay?
@runnergirl2018 was the doctor concerned about the heart rate for a 6 week pregnancy? When I Google, the range is 90-110, and 88 is very close to 90. My pregnancy is 8w1 but if I went off LMP using the average of 28 day cycle, I’d be 9w4. So cycles/ovulation can absolutely differ from the average assumed by LMP.
I know this is anxiety-producing and scary. Just sending you a creepy internet hug. I hope your nugget is growing just as it should, it’s just a smidge younger than expected.
He was concerned both with the measurement being a week behind LMP and the HR being a little low. I didn’t even think to ask what he expected it to be but I saw the same 90-100 for 6w so it isn’t that far off if 6+1 is correct. I do have longer cycles than 28d and after knowing that he seemed less concerned. It’s good to hear that your weeks and LMP estimate are over a week different too! Keeping my fingers crossed that all looks okay when we check again next week.
So sorry to hear others are experiencing this scary limbo zone.
After spotting briefly for ~ 1/2 a day, my midwife sent me for repeat HCG. At 6 weeks, 5 days my HCG was 52,000. I repeated it 96 hours later (at 7 weeks 2 days) and it was 80,000. I’ve heard after 6 weeks it can take 96 hours to double, but mine only raised 65%. I’m nervous! But my ultrasound isn’t until the 16th because I’m getting married in two days. Has anyone else experienced slow rising HCG? ps: I can’t figure out how to change my username, sorry! It’s changed in my settings..
@knottie86d9ac5a500e40ad Congrats on your wedding! Usually if you just completely log out and log back in your username will update.
I was closely tracking my numbers until I had a reassuring ultrasound at 7 weeks. My OB said that hcg is most predictable until you reach 2000, after that the rise will be much less predictable (shouldnt decrease until 2nd tri) but may be slower or faster to rise until you reach peak. I hope that helps. Unless you are having abdominal or pelvic pain or bleeding I wouldn’t be too worried.
@runnergirl2018 Fingers crossed that your dates are a little off and everything looks perfect at your next ultrasound.
Hey, knottie! Congrats on the wedding, that's so exciting! My levels didn't rise the way that *I* thought they should, but my doctor thought they looked fine. If your doctor hasn't expressed concerns, I would try to let it go. At this point, it matters more about the ultrasound than the blood work. I go in on Monday for my ultrasound, so fingers crossed things look good. And the 16th will be here before you know it. Sending you positive thoughts!!!

I’ve been lurking mostly since my last appointment and waiting for my follow up ultrasound on August 9 after finding out baby was measuring behind. I started light spotting yesterday and it’s becoming heavier dark red blood today. Frustratingly, the clinic has advised me to « wait and see » and to come in still on Monday to determine next steps but I know what is happening. This, combined with the decrease in symptoms and back ache is spelling it out for me. Wishing all you mamas the best for sticky, healthy and low stress pregnancies 💜
@geminigirl16 I’m so sorry you’re going through this. The waiting is so disheartening and exhausting. Take care of yourself and I hope you’re surrounded by excellent support and comfort.
I wanted to post an update as I FINALLY had my ultrasound today to see what’s causing the light bleeding I’ve been experiencing for the past week and a half. I’m still waiting for the dr to call me to go over the results but the ultrasound showed a very strong heartbeat (176 bpm, just tickin away!) and shows that baby is measuring spot on at 8 weeks 2 days. It appears that the bleeding is a sub chorionic hemorrhage, so I’m really hoping it just resolves itself. I can’t tell you how excited we were to see that little heartbeat though! Sending good vibes to all the other people going through this and hopefully this offers you some hope ❤️

After a week of infuriating frustrations not being able to access health care, I had my 1st OB appointment today.
He did a bedside US and after a terrifyingly long wait, he found baby hiding there, and I got to see that amazing little heart beat!
I burst into tears. I'm very relieved!
So today, I am pregnant!
@goldfishcraker @btate01 yay, I’m so glad!!
