  • @rachelredhead Did you see it lasting all day? There seem to be some protocols where people take a small second dose unisom in the morning.
  • @Lcardinal04 I can’t handle the second dose of unisom, it just makes me too tired. Doing it at night doesn’t eliminate the nausea the next day but it definitely makes me feel like a functioning human. But I know some folks say you get less tired eventually with that second dose, just takes some acclimation.
  • @morgantu Yes to cold fruit! Nectarines and cherries are all that got me through my first 2 pregnancies.

Sorry to see so many people as sick as I am:/ And yes to it getting worse throughout the day. I find if I eat right before I go to sleep then I'm not as nauseous over night. Also throwing up makes me  feel abit better too...at least for a few minutes...
  • @morgantu @rachelredhead thank you both! I'll start taking that tonight and see if it helps. I did start taking Pepcid AC this morning and, unless its complete coincidence, it is really taking off the edge...like a huge edge! Fingers crossed it's not a coincidence.
  • @Lcardinal04 due date twin! Also a TTM and first appt is the 17th :) I hope you feel better soon! Good luck with the long drive. Hopefully you can nap in the car if you’re not driving lol
  • @MusicalFamily Sorry you're friend had no reaction:/ If it makes you feel better I tried to tell my mom on the phone a couple of days ago and she did not pick up on ANY of the things I was saying. She didn't even ask why I was so sick when I mentioned a few times how much I was throwing up...she just ignored it completely....so I ended up not telling her.
  • @Panaceia aww! I’m sure she will be happy once she finds out. It probably went over her head a little and she thinks you’re actually sick like you caught something.
  • @MusicalFamily sorry about your friend, that's frustrating. As for work.... I'll probably (maybe?) tell my boss next week after my US. She knows about my previous losses because i had to miss work and she knows we've been trying and i've been out for lots of appointments. I supervise a team of 35 so we will need to  make plans for coverage. As for my team and peers, I'm hoping to wait until like 16 weeks-ish if possible. IDK if i'll be able to hide it that long, but that's my goal.

  • @elle-0409 I definitely feel like my uterus popped faster this time. Much quicker than with my first. Not that I really have a bump yet, but I can tell things are different if that makes sense.
  • @abjm0325 I still take baths a few times a week! They are my way of decompressing. I asked my doctor and she said it is fine as long as your bathtub isn't the equivalent of a hot tub and can keep the water super hot for long periods of time. In a normal bathtub it isn't able to stay hot enough for long enough to be dangerous. That said, definitely do what feels right to you.
  • @gembud Awwww I LOVE Luke ❤❤❤

@abjm0325 My doctor said baths are fine since they don't keep a constant temperature like a hot tub or leisure pool...unless you're like me and heat makes you throw up regardless:/ He just said to make sure that it wasn't crazy hot (like under 96 degrees) to start.
  • @Panaceia and @kgg2241 Thank you both! I like super hot baths usually, but I may try a lower temperature one to get my fix sometimes. :)
  • @abjm0325 I've been having an easier time with baths because the shower is getting too hot and steamy for me and makes me nauseous.  huge fan of baths all throughout pregnancy - just have to watch the water temp
  • @abjm0325 I took soooo many Epsom salt baths with my son, they were my main stress relief. Definitely give it a try at a slightly lower temp, or just make it super hot to start and let it cool as you sit. Baths cool off fast if you’re not adding more heat so they are rarely a risk unless you’re doing the hot tub thing.
  • @ansa1436292063 For me the bad taste lasts the entire pregnancy...but I'm also one of the lucky ones who is super sick and vomiting all the way until delivery. I hear many other people say that it usually ends with their morning sickness. Hopefully it will be that way for you!
  • @ansa1436292063 I had some metallic taste while pregnant with my DD, but it only lasted a few days. It was very bizarre!

  • Good luck today @rachelredhead !

  • @jenis_fan_for_life I've been having varying degrees of nausea! The bouts usually occur in the late afternoon/dinnertime, but sometimes I get sick, sometimes I don't. It's like a box of chocolates, I never know if I'm going to have a good day or a bad day!
