Re: Weekly Check-In 8/2
@Lcardinal04 I take unisom plus b6 every night and it saves me. If I forget and skip I definitely feel it. I took it until probably mid 2nd tri with my son.
@Lcardinal04 i took unisom/b6 last pregnancy and will again next week if we have a heartbeat (i need the nausea right now to reassure me). It helped me a lot, and i only ever took the one dose.
@rachelredhead so glad your spotting is gone!

Sorry to see so many people as sick as I am:/ And yes to it getting worse throughout the day. I find if I eat right before I go to sleep then I'm not as nauseous over night. Also throwing up makes me feel abit better too...at least for a few minutes...
For the person asking about Unisom - I take it nightly, so far just half a dose - It helps with my insomnia for sure and my nausea is also slightly less bad the next day when I take it. It doesn't make it go away for me but it helps a little.

@MusicalFamily I'm sorry your friend's reaction was disappointing. That stings. I don't think I'll tell work until I'm like 16 weeks. My next appointment isn't until then and I don't want to chance it.
@morgantu I hope this week flies by and your ultrasound looks perfect! Sorry you are feeling so crappy. FX it gets better. I also didn't feel as sick with my first, but maybe you're right. I also didn't have a toddler then.
@rachelredhead I'm so glad to hear the spotting stopped. Good luck on your car ride.

@morgantu How awesome that you’re team green. 💚 I think I’d last about five minutes. 😂
@MusicalFamily Aw, I’m sorry that your best friend didn’t have a better reaction. @gembud Wow! Congratulations! 💙💙💙

How are you feeling?: Nauseous and cramping, but otherwise not too bad. Really what’s getting to me is waking up in the middle of the night to pee and not being able to go back to sleep. Gah.
Rants/Raves: I miss taking baths! Such a silly thing, but I often took a bath in the evenings and that has been hard to give up.
Questions: NATM
GTKY: Do you have a nickname you call your baby? We called my DD peanut, but haven’t started calling this little one anything in particular yet.
@abjm0325 My doctor said baths are fine since they don't keep a constant temperature like a hot tub or leisure pool...unless you're like me and heat makes you throw up regardless:/ He just said to make sure that it wasn't crazy hot (like under 96 degrees) to start.
@Panaceia Sorry you’re so sick! Hope that is a great sign for your ultrasound next week.
@Lcardinal04 Yay for our first appointments on the 17th!
@rachelredhead So glad your spotting has stopped! Hope the ultrasound goes really well tomorrow.
@morgantu At least your craving is a relatively healthy one!
@MusicalFamily I’m sorry about your friend. ☹ It’s always so hard when people don’t have the reaction you want. I told my boss already, won’t tell colleagues for awhile.
@gembud Hooray for brothers!
@runnergirl2018 Your toddler sounds so sweet! I’m not taking a prescription med (yet), but last pregnancy I took Diclegis and it definitely helped.
@v2hb Glad you’re feeling okay this pregnancy.
@kgg2241 Oh man, sorry for the flooding! That stinks.
@elle-0409 Love your interesting fact!
@musicalfamily my current boss already knows (we're good friends and when I had to go off camera for a meeting because I wasn't feeling well, she immediately was like YOU'RE PREGNANT and I couldn't lie haha), but I'm transitioning to a new role in my organization in about three months. Planning on telling my new manager and HR around 15 weeks if everything looks good with my next appointment and the NIPT.
@rachelredhead I hope you had a smooth road trip! Good luck at the ultrasound tomorrow!
@Panaceia I’m sorry you are still so sick!
@rachelredhead good luck at the us tomorrow!
@gembud such a sweet name! I’m so anxious too!!
@elle-0409 hope he finds the perfect place! I’m a TTM so I feel so bloated!! Def have the rlp and although not “popping” I’m just rounder.
@kgg2241 good luck on the clean up!
@abjm0325 I took a bath w salts and it was lovely. It’s just not getting too warm. I like mine hot too which is why I usually stick to showers.
@trails15 my friend did centering and still is close to all of them! She said it was a wonderful experience!
@Lcardinal I have been taking 25mg unisom with 25-50mg b6 every night since about 5 weeks. It doesn’t completely eliminate the nausea for me but it absolutely helps.
@rachelredhead happy ultrasound day! Keep us updated!
@morgantu give me all the cold fruit right now too! Pineapple, honeycrisp apples, cherries, peaches, oranges etc. Sometimes all I can eat at a meal.
@MusicalFamily im sorry for your friend’s reaction. If she means a lot to you I would mention it some time in the near future just to avoid any resentment on your side. That’s really disappointing, im so sorry. Im not sure when I will start telling work. I work in the ER. First pregnancy I had to tell some people around 10 weeks because of certain procedures and patients I couldn’t do. We’ll see what happens this time. Luckily scrubs perfectly hide bloat/bumps.
@gembud congrats! Boy mom! Love Luke so much!
@kgg2241 we’ve had water getting into our crawlspace with all the rain lately too. DH and I rage dug and installed an entire french drain Friday night to help with drainage. Used muscles I didn’t even know I had 😂 im glad yours was minimal- but still sucks im sure.
@runnergirl2018 I took a zofran around 6 weeks because i was miserable. It isnt recommended now until after 10 weeks so doctor wouldnt write for more but he did give me phenergan and if I just take half (6.25mg) it really really helps without making me too tired. Also doing unisom/b6 nightly.
@elle-0409 definitely more “round” this time than with my first.
@abjm0325 I bath every night including while pregnant. It keeps me sane. My first BMB had a weekly thread called "tub snacking" where everybody shared what they were snacking on while in the tub. My baths are often accompanied by netflix & icecream.
@Panaceia so annoying your mom didn't pick up on your hints. My mom never did either. last pregnancy I dropped every hint and I even dressed my son in a shirt that said "I am going to be a Big Brother!.... nope... still didn't notice. Now I just tell her: "hi, I am pregnant"
@kgg241 my uterus has popped out as well. I definitely have a bump. With baby 1 I didn't show for 16 weeks. With baby 3 its shocking how quickly it shows.
