We told the girls I’m expecting and my oldest got a very serious look on her face and said, “It’s definitely going to be a boy named Georgie. He’ll have red hair and light blue eyes.” She has “predicted” so many things that I’ll sort of be surprised if it’s not a boy now lol does this count?
@doodleoodle I'll count it, both times before a positive test I've had people say I'm pregnant. One time wad this elderly Spanish lady who asked how far along I was, I had no clue and then this time my daughter nonchalantly states "I want a little sister" dh and I both went "why would you say that?!?".
@doodleoodle I’d believe it! My mom has this connection with her mom who died before I was born. She always comes to visit her in dreams and tells her things. My mom knew I was pregnant with this baby before I told her. She had a dream: she was sitting outside on the patio with my dad when all of a sudden, my grandma walks in the sliding glass door and said she was here for the news. My mom was confused and said the news is already over it’s almost 8 o’clock. She said no, not that kind of news. Then we walked through the door and told my parents that I was pregnant. My grandma smiled in the corner and said it’s going to be an interesting Halloween. I’m due the first week of November 😬
Three days later, my parents are sitting on the back patio when my husband and I showed up and told them that I was pregnant. I’ve never gotten the chills like I did when she told me that story. I’m half convinced she also told her it’s a girl, but I think my mom is so scared it might be wrong so she isn’t telling anyone lol.
Long story short, sometimes people know things they shouldn’t. Makes me believe in some sort of connection to the afterlife.
So funny, I was coming to this thread to also say that my friend has predicted the sex (we'll find out still though lol). She texted me a few days after I ovulated saying she had a dream and I'm pregnant (she didn't even know that we were trying) 😂 she's stuck to it this whole time and I finally told her yesterday that I am in fact pregnant. She said "good, I knew you'd have a girl this year" 💀
@sliztee I didn’t know about the dream until after we told her I was pregnant. I had known for weeks that I was pregnant but she only had the dream a few days prior to us telling her.
@doodleoodle I'm a firm believer that siblings usually have a weird 6th sense about it. DS called this boy since the beginning. My nephews both correctly called all of their siblings.
Just found out #3 is a girl! I am SO over the moon excited and surprised. My first 2 are boys - I’m excited to not be the only gal in the family anymore (soon).
@tmk2021 what a beautiful story! I definitely got goosebumps reading it!
I had a dream maybe 5-6 weeks into being pregnant that this was a girl. I didn’t want to get my hopes up because we really did want a girl, but just having a baby is a blessing, so we would be excited either way.
Well, after a week long wait for my blood test, it really is a GIRL! DD will get to have the little sister I never had, and we get to have a DS sandwich! (Girl, boy, girl!)
@MaximumEffort I feel you. mine was supposed to be July 8! We ended up doing an elective ultrasound to find out. I feel like most people have found out already since my due date is later in the month and we didn’t do any genetic testing.
We found out w our first 3 (boy, boy, girl) so for our final babe...we are waiting! We would be thrilled for 2 of each, but also our girl is so crazy (acts like her brothers, wrestling them at 1 lol) that she could totally hang and be the only girl, too!
Just got back from the AS with DH. We're having a girl! We've had a girl name picked out since before DH and I even got married so we're stoked to be able to use it and start referring to this baby by name. 😊
I had my AS yesterday. After 3 girls we’re having a boy!! 🤯 is it weird that the only ultrasound picture that I snapped a picture of on my phone is the potty shot? Lol
