Re: May/June 2021 FET Do I have any buddies?

  • @niddzz Yay!!!  So glad to hear things are moving in the right direction!!!  Congratulations!!!
  • @teamginger13 Oooh@  GL Thursday!!! <3
  • Loading the player...
  • Oh my gosh @danij823 They REALLY don't want you to be able to test at home, do they???  I would say if you even attempt it, wait until the last possible moment before you go in, or late evening the night before beta?  And then like, don't even bother with FRERs.  They will be way too sensitive and definitely show a line.  But something like a digi with a higher threshold would be more likely to give you and accurate read... Maybe???  Eeek!  That is so hard.

@oranges226  Ah!  Yes, 4dp5dt is still early, and yeah ikwym about afternoon transfer.  What kind of test are you using?  If you can hold out, I would wait till some time 6dp5dt, and hopefully by then something should be starting to show...???  FX so hard for you!
  • @BusinessWife Yep, you are right,  I'll have to wait and I think the digital is the way to go too. I feel like my clinic wants me to go completely insane lol.   Oh well.. Someday I'll be laughing at my impatient self, hopefully with a baby in my arms..  Tomorrow is 5 weeks to transfer!
  • @BusinessWife thanks so much. I’m using FRER. Of course tested again today at 5dt5dt and nothing. Still trying to stay positive, but it’s getting hard.

Thinking of you @niddzz, @teamginger13 and @oranges226. @oranges226 hang in there - sending tons of good energy and thoughts your way.

@danij823 5 weeks!! woooooohooo! It'll be here in no time - you'll see! But yes, I had the SAME thought that your clinic is totally making this harder than it should be, lol!

    AFM:

Baseline went well last week and had my day 6 u/s today.
Welp - either first ER was a bust or my RE totally figured out the meds this time around...working with more follicles (versus last time around) and definitely wobbling around on this lovely day 6. The bloat and the nausea are real, and I'm cramping on and off (which didn't happen last time, but here's to hoping this is normal - anyone had this before?). Trying to stay positive but after going through the hunger games, I know it's early and there's a lot of wood to chop still.

  • @skyee87 Yay! I'm so glad the new protocol appears to be working better! Sorry you're uncomfortable though friend.   I can't remember if I got cramps or not.  I just remember feeling super uncomfortable days 7-10.  I can't wait to see the results this time!
  • @skyee87 - thanks! Your update sounds promising! I was never very uncomfortable, but my collection was 7 eggs, I think the discomfort usually comes with higher numbers. Hoping that’s the case for you!!
  • @oranges226  I'm so sorry it's not more clear right now.  I will keep everything crossed that something starts to show up for you!!!  It is still early!  I try to remind myself, there is a reason the clinics themselves wait so long to take the bloodtest.  When is beta?
  • @skyee87 Glad things are looking better this time around!!!
  • @BusinessWife thanks! yes, agree there is a reason. It’s just such a long wait and I like to have as much info as I can get my hands on :) My test is the 24th. Still a long road.

thank you @oranges226, @danij823 and @BusinessWife! Really trying to keep myself in check and not let myself get too hopeful, but it is so hard. It felt like forever to get started, and now I can't wait for this to be over so I stop obsessing over it, lol.
  • @oranges226 I’m curious what grade your embryos were that you just transferred. Did your clinic tell you? I know you mentioned they were low. My fingers are crossed for you!! It’s still early!

I am transferring my last embryo tomorrow which is just a BB. Trying not to let the grade get me down. It is PGS normal so there’s that.

  • @teamginger13 I haven't transferred yet but both of mine are 5BB and my clinic told me it is the most commonly transferred grade :) Good luck darlin!
  • @JWatt5 congratulations on your ultrasound! Very exciting.
  • @oranges226 cautious congrats! <3 Sending all of the good juju I have your way!!
  • @oranges226 and @danij823 thanks! I had a BB embryo not survive the thaw last year so I think I’m just too focused on that when I’m sure it was for other reasons and not just bc it was BB. I’m here prepping for my transfer now and I can safely say the embryo did survive the thaw this time 😊

@oranges226 yay! I’m keeping my FX that the line continues to darken!!

    @JWatt5 congrats!! So exciting!

  • @skyee87 good luck! Wishing you many eggs and embryos 😊
  • @skyee87 Awesome!  I hope it goes perfectly!
  • Ah!  GL @skyee87  You will do great! <3
  • I got my big box of meds last night. Feeling real!  I start Lupron in a week. I'm getting so excited and feeling really positive.  I bought some funny socks from amazon (pictured) , scheduled acupuncture right before and right after transfer, I have the day after transfer off to chill.  What else should I do friends?

  • Nice!  You're getting so close! @danji823. I would work on cueing up a nice playlist of funny movies / shows.  They say laughter is the best medicine for implantation during / after transfer!  Stay happy! 😊🤗
  • @danij823 “they” say wear orange panties for good luck on the day of 😂

  • @danij823 cute socks!! Not long for you now.
  • @danij823 I absolutely LOVE the socks! It's so close!
  • @danij823 omg those socks! I can’t even 🤣

I just did my first PIO. It was definitely any experience. Transfer on the 25th, first beta July 5th. It’s so close!
  • Anyone else still around waiting for beta? Mine is Friday morning. Today I’m 4dp5dt although my clinic freezes on the 6th day so not sure if that makes me 4dp6dt. Either way, I’m not testing on my own and am just waiting until beta. This week is going to drag!!

  • Congrats @niddzz!! Those are great numbers! My clinic only does 2 betas and then brings you in like 2.5 weeks later for an ultrasound so it’s nice that you get that third confirmation. Fingers crossed!!

    Congratulations! @niddzz great numbers!

That's an interesting question @teamginger13 How many days past trigger did they time your transfer?  Friday is so close!

@strajn01 oof!  Nice work.  I do not miss those PIO shots... GL Friday, Fx it will all be worth it! :)

AFM<div>6+ week scan and beta today...</div><div class="Spoiler"><p>We heard the heartbeat! 128 and measuring perfectly on track for 6+5. I wasn't really even worried, but it's almost impossible not to catch nerves as you're about to go in... Beta also came back at 53,621. Such a relief!</p></div>

Congratulations @niddzz!!! So happy for you!

@teamginger13 hang in there! Just a few days more <3

@BusinessWife ahhhh! I bet that was the best feeling ever. Such great news and glad everything is on track! <3

@danij823 retrieval yesterday went well -  it was super quick and I focused on resting and not doing too much after! Definitely feeling it today (the bloat is real) but so far so good. I can't wait to fit in my pants again, lol.

As we're approaching the end of June, should we expand this thread to also cover July FETs? I feel like we have such a great thing going on here, lol.

AFM - Got the fertilization report a few minutes ago:

8 eggs retrieved, with 6 mature and 6 fertilized. Feels like a dream and really hope the hunger games are kind to us and we're able to send a few to PGT-A testing. The embryologist asked me if we wanted an update on day 3 (her preference is to not disturb them as much as possible) and I told her day 6 is fine, so next update is on Saturday. Until then, I'll do my best to not go crazy.

The first two betas were in clinic- the 3rd one I’m being sent to a regular lab. Then a ultrasound week after the labs!! Scared AND excited :)
  • Update from me not so good.

My lines have stayed faint and yesterday I had some bleeding. I called the clinic and they’re having me come in two days early for my blood test. Guessing this is a chemical.

  • Oh dear. @oranges226  I'm sorry you're not feeling too confident right now.  Hang in there - when will you go in now?  Are you still taking progesterone?  I mean, I'm sure you are - how much are you taking?  Did you happen to try a digital test yet?  Lots of women have spotting and go on to have successful pregnancies.  Fx super hard for you! ❤️❤️❤️
