Easter weekend was good - it was sunny and 70 degrees here! Church was not too packed, which was really nice. My MIL had us over for brunch and surprised us all by cooking edible food. She's a notoriously bad cook (and she knows it) but bless her heart, she keeps trying 😂
That evening we had a second meal at my mom's and an easter egg hunt. By the end of the day, I was so miserably full - I go from 0 to bloated so fast these days!
My kids (especially DS2) were full of sugar and misbehaving all day. So we went to bed early! So glad to be back on a schedule today - spring break was very, very long.
We had a great weekend too! We are still locked down so we did zoom church, and we got to see my parents outside because Saturday was beautiful here! This week is supposed to be nice all week so we are heading out for morning walks!
Easter was nice, the kids woke up and snuck downstairs and hunted eggs without us. We did Easter at my aunts with just a few people and then went over to my moms to celebrate DS2s birthday. It was a long day. Today I’m taking the kids to my moms so I can clean up and get ready for the listing appointment tmrw! I can’t believe we’re really listing our house now. Hopefully this week goes quick and easy.
we had a great Easter weekend! The weather was AMAZING all weekend and we were able to bust out the shorts for the first time! We went to church in person for the first time in over a year and it was really nice - I'm thankful our church takes the pandemic very seriously. We spend the entire day at my parents house with my brothers and their families - easter egg hunt, lots of food, and just having a great time hanging out - I'm glad the weather was nice so we were able to spend the whole day outside and the kids were able to run off most of their sugar intake. I'm off today so spending the day cleaning the house and hopefully relaxing a bit. I have DS2 home with me, but DS1 is back to school today, so I'll actually get a break while DS2 is napping.
Easter was alright. I had a pounding headache all day yesterday, didn't have a great start to the day with my youngest (seems to be a common theme these days), and by the time the kids went to bed I was just so done. The kids were too wound up and having trouble listening, my youngest was having a really rough time in the afternoon so it made cooking dinner difficult. They seemed to have a great day though so I'm happy.
It started nicely, we went to a friend's house and hung out in their backyard doing a very small and chill easter egg hunt with just our 2 families. All outside, so it felt very comfortable and safe. Later my son turned into a complete monster and I nearly lost it. I'm sure this happens every time he eats candy, but I'll just never learn.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast so exciting! In this market you will sell in no time! If I'm remembering correctly, you're building a new house right?
Our weekend was so nice and such a welcomed change! My IL's came for the weekend and the weather has been beautiful. DS is home from daycare today because she took an extra day off for Easter. The IL's are still here so their on duty so MH and I can get some work done. It's a record high today almost 80 degrees.

Easter was good here. My 4 year old is with his dad visiting his mom in Oregon and will be there all week, so it’s a quiet house here. I have a love/hate relationship for when he’s gone 🤣 We’re celebrating Easter next weekend so yesterday we just kinda did some stuff outside and enjoyed the weather.
On a random note I can start feeling the baby kick from the outside now! But of course every time I try and get FI to feel he stops kicking 🙄
@krash_ and @runningonindie and anyone else who uses the Peloton app: I’m doing my Century ride this Friday! It’ll be Hannah Frankson’s 30 minute dancehall ride at 9 AM EDT. I hope you can join me! #SpayAndSlay
@williams-jen congrats!!! when I did my century ride with Cody I got a shoutout! So fun!
Easter was nice! We went to my parents house for lunch and spent lots of time outside in the yard. It was gorgeous out. We were short one sibling because my brother is still recovering from covid but at this point he’s 90% better and just riding out the end of his mandatory quarantine. He was missed! We dropped off some Easter food on his porch. I remember last Easter was the first time in 6 weeks that we caved and saw my parents in the midst of the (actual) lockdown. We all sat in this giant 10 foot circle in their garage with the door open. DD sat on the floor. Then we all went for a walk and stayed far away from one another. It was awful and sterile. This Easter was nothing like the 30 person family function im used to, but man oh man what a difference from Easter 2020!
We had a good Easter. DH left for TX for an 8 days work trip. So the kids and I had fun doing different things. We did a massive egg hunt, played with bubbles on the deck in the snow (yay Easter snow storm 🙄), dyed tons of eggs that we will likely end up throwing away, and went to dinner. I didn’t cook because it was just us. The restaurant was packed with a 40 minute wait list. I was not expecting that on Easter. Overall we had a great day. I ended up not getting the kids a ton of candy because I didn’t want them to spend days eating on it. It worked out great. They had enough to be satisfied and I didn’t have to say, “no more today.” Win, win!!
We had a wonderful easter Isaac and I did a bunch of baking to drop of at my in-laws. We had an easter egg hunt in the backyard. The weather was beautiful which really helped my son to burn off that easter treat energy. So thankful for the warmer weather to finally get back outside with the toddler. Although he is already asking for the water table to be set up.
We are enjoying a beautiful day on the deck! Filled up the water table with some warm water and everyone is happy! The dog is getting a bit of a bath thanks to an enthusiastic toddler. Wishing you all fantastic weather today❤️
Our Easter started off by finding out my brother (who has lung issues) has COVID. My parents were near him outside but mostly masked so we didn't see them for the rest of the weekend, thankfully they are both testing negative thus far. But we had fun anyway, we did a mostly candy-free Easter egg hunt where DS had no idea what was happening and kept rehiding the stuff he found. We did masked outdoor hellos to my grandmas, where my grandma with dementia kept loudly pointing out how I was pregnant in front of my uncle who didn't know (and who I didn't want to know in case he tells his 7 (mostly adult) kids). Ended it all with a trip to the beach!
Easter was so nice! Weather was beautiful here and we were able to have our easter egg hunt outside in the backyard. The kids had so much fun, but were definitely wired off all that sugar! I'm so happy we are finally getting some nice weather. We are in 3rd lockdown here, so still no family gatherings which is sad, but we made the most of it and saw our cousins outside and played at the park!
Selling your house is stressful lol. The listing went up last night and we have one showing today! The realtor expected more I think so idk, cross your fingers!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast we are going to see a house today and I’m already nervous. I kind of hope we hate it so we don’t need to go through the whole process of selling ours. Good luck! I hope it goes quick for you!!!
ETA: update and we loved it 😭 it’s a bit out of our price range so we will likely just put in our best offer and hope. I’m mixed because I hate the hassle of moving but this house would be our forever house.
@muggsd good luck!! We had a few showings yesterday but none today, we’ll see how the weekend goes. It’s definitely more stressful than I was expecting!
I hate selling houses. I can’t stand for strangers to be in my home. We had one family come and they pulled things out from under the beds and they let their kids play with all the toys. My house was a mess when I got back home. Then they gave us a low offer. We had just put our house on the market and we weren’t desperate so I’m not sure why they did that.
@agea I’m having the same thing. Unfortunately don’t have any good advice for you - only thing that’s been working for me is darkened rooms and sleep 🤷🏻♀️
@muggsd@agea Try taking a shower in the dark. Get your bathroom as dark as you can. Mine doesn't have windows so I usually just have to stuff clothes under the door and it stays pretty dark. I find that can help relive my headaches
@agea I've been having alot of headaches too. I've taken Tylenol once, but I find making sure I'm drinking enough water helps curb them (I hate taking any medication, even Tylenol). Dark rooms, water, and rest usually helps
Has anybody experienced aching around their bellybutton/upper abdomen? I’m so used to round ligament pain being much lower. This has been going on all day. It’s very mild but nagging. I also think I’m tired and physically exhausted from hauling a 32 pound toddler around during tantrums. Something I never had to deal with the first time around!
